HC + video game with his siblings

Raymond’s a very kinetically-oriented person, and honestly doesn’t see the appeal in a lot of video games, particularly RPGS or puzzle games. his favorite words to hear whenever games are involved are by far “motion control”. whatever the OK KO equivalent of the wii is, it’s his favorite system and he hogs it whenever it’s in use. he’s got the high score in every sport and every difficulty level in both wii sports and wii sports resort, probably as the result of devoting his afternoon specifically to do so, because he loves seeing his name in first place. just about the only game he likes more than a wii title? DDR. he’s a demon at it.

the siblings he plays with are usually Darrell and Shannon, since neither Jethro or Mikayla have real hands and Ernesto has neither time or passion for video games, and because he’s closest with those two. he’s much more of a competitive than a co-op person, even and especially when it’s supposed to be the latter - on more than one occasion, he’s fucked up a group playing session by making a decision that hurts their team for his own sake. he’s usually completely aware of these consequences and takes them not only to draw attention to himself, but to irritate his siblings for fun. equally irritating is how good he is at wii sports, and despite continued attempts, Shannon’s had no success in trying to trying to cheat the wiimote motion sensors into a higher score.

aside from his main genres of interest, when his siblings are involved, he can branch off into fighting games. he’s not bad at most of them, but he does button-mash hard enough to have broken several controllers in the past when he got into it. he’s much easier to beat in one of these than in a motion-controlled game - while he has a good eye for executing and chaining combos, he’s bad at sticking to a strategy, since it lacks the real-world parts of fighting or other physical activity he’s used to, and Darrell is most easily able to counter his nonstop attacking. even with arguments over who wins or loses, they generally have a good time, all three lounging on the couch (usually Darrell’s stuck on the arm) and snacking while they play. it makes a good opportunity for sharing thoughts.

HC + Roses!

Raymond actually came off the assembly line earlier than we see in Sibling Rivalry - hence why he displayed so much personality and was able to maneuver his body competently. Boxman actually finished him in anticipation of Shannon and Darrell’s failure, then encouraged him to think of himself as, and act like, the best, in hopes of motivating his siblings to work harder to beat him.

in the time between his activation and his introduction, he researched his instructions to “act dramatic”, since even with built-in calculators, dictionaries, etc. in his software, he didn’t automatically have a grasp on the nuanced association in just about everything. he first found roses in his search, and figured out pretty quickly what they were supposed to represent.

since passion and beauty were already things he’d started to associate with himself, and because he liked the aesthetic qualities he’d seen of roses (the color, delicate, ruffled shape, and thorns all helped), he picked them up as a motif and has only gotten more attached to that motif since.

          🌹 And there it was, Raymond’s favorite question, second only to may I have your autograph or may I lay my hands adoringly on your body. Not to be outdone, he pushed his broad chest forward, sliding one heel aside to widen his stance as he tilted his head back (and sideways. No such thing as a bad angle on him, but some were better than others), cocking his hip and planting one hand against it.

           ❝ Me?❞ He punctuated the word with his free hand splayed against his chest. ❝ It is only natural to wonder over this beauty, isn’t it? I’m Raymond—killer robot, killer athlete.❞

          ❝ But of course, I could ask you the same.❞ Specs on this robot, and fast, would be useful. It wasn’t like Raymond to be jealous, it was horribly unfitting, but this newcomer had the looks, vibrancy, and charisma that he was usually supposed to be the sole possessor of in his wide vicinity. Besides that, he was tall, and so much of that height was his pair of long, finely-shaped legs—it was clear they’d specialized in different areas, but this was an area with the potential to endanger Raymond’s spotlight.

You… really don’t know who this guy is.

He appears to be some type of fashion bot; with his confident stance and his greased / slicked up hair—-looks like someone you’d see on some expensive magazine a few teenage girls would be reading, or a house-wife that has too much free time. 

It makes you ponder if humans have finally replaced human models for robots because they’ve realized they can’t achieve their warped, twisted and impossible standard for beauty, at least not naturally     anyways.

But you also find it unlikely, seeing how stubborn humans are to not only destroy themselves, but everything around them as well. (But you suppose that’s why you feel so protective of them.)

Though as he talks about himself and how great and handsome he is you can’t help but rethink of that small theory—–because he certainly has the ego of a model. If not somebody else who’s important enough to get that big of a head about themselves.

You can’t exactly ask any of these questions, but maybe if you get acquainted with him some more you’ll learn a bit more about him and his purposes.

For now you’ll just stand there, silently nodding your head as he rambles on about himself and some sports you don’t quiet understand for the next 4 hours.

          🌹 Raymond had sneaked out to enough parties and other miscellaneous gatherings to recognize and appreciate the scent of alcohol, mostly because when there was alcohol there was usually at least one organic drunk. He wasn’t sure whether organic really applied here, but whatever it was smelled of alcohol and was singing to him, which was a nice enough situation on its own.

          ❝ Tonight, tonight, and we’re dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign! ❞ So maybe it was a little unfair to show off against someone who was already operating under a hundred percent, but he hadn’t initiated it so it must have been okay enough. Besides, singing along was an innately considerate gesture in his experience.
