A Dada #2 (2018)
This exhibition is part of a desire to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the dada movement. This is an opportunity for Micr0lab to put his contemporary practice, often funny and punk, in a historical perspective. The goal here is not to tell it, but to honor the elderly, those punk people of the time who wanted to break everything to come back again. Founded in 2010, this multi-disciplinary group composed of associated artists around the creation, the diffusion and the sharing, is today a network which claims a widened opening to the various means of expression. Like this crazy collective, the exhibition will present a multiplicity of forms on the topics addressed (surrealism, body, humor, misappropriation, history ...) as on the techniques used (drawing, engraving, silkscreen, lithography ...).
Opening event 01/03/2018 at 19h, exhibition till 29/04/2018
At Le Jardin Moderne, 11 rue du Manoir de Servigné, Rennes

Wood, Acrylic, Gold leaves, Plotter, Video Projector, Openframeworks algorithm.

Repli 00 (2017)
Paper print, Openframeworks algorithm.
"Repli 00" is a view of Rigny-Saint-Martin on May 7, 2017. This image can be seen as a risky exploration of the contingency between the geographical territory and the socio-political orientations of the same territory. But "Repli 00" is also, and above all, a way of revealing these political orientations: a population that chooses to put itself as much as possible in isolation, a population that closes on itself, puts itself in a fold of the territory. Or is it the natural fold of the territory that is the fertile ground of social withdrawal?
"Repli 00" was produced for the Fanzine « Chambre Pâle#4» published by micr0lab, « Chambre Pâle#4» whose theme was : « Creases, scabs, and wet area »

Panopticon Live (2016)
3D printing, Arduino, Computer, Laser, Electromagnet, OpenFramework algorithm, Smoke machine.
Panopticon Live, inspired by Jeremy Bentham’s Panopticon prison project and by Foucault's predictive works about the Panopticism, is an automated and real-time surveillance system of the social network Twitter. Like the Jeremy Bentham's panopticon prison, the observation comes from the center of the room but you don't know when you will be under surveillance. The panopticon, after a period of random waiting time, freezes, its lasers pointed towards the public as if it were a potential target. It then starts to search in real-time on Twitter if someone has used recently one of the keywords present in a list. This list is based on the keywords that the NSA used for its monitoring program, a list released following the Edward Snowden case. If a tweet containing one of the keywords is found, the panopticon denounces aloud the key word and the person who used it.

Paper, Raspberry Pi, LED panel, Processing algorithm.
A note is preciously displayed under glass and a microcomputer broadcasts informations on an LED screen: you are approaching the note, it is a forgery, the currency is not in euro or in dollar, it is a Facebook Like. On the LED screen, as at the stock exchange, the microcomputer manages the display of a curve. This curve is a representation of the exchange rate of the Like, with its value in euro that evolves over time. Like is directly connected to the exchange rate of the Facebook action to extract in real time the financial value of a like of a Facebook page.
