8 people at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh have been reportedly killed by a gunman during today’s 9:45am Shabbat service, with many more critically injured.
KDKA local news station reports the suspect is a young to middle age white man with a beard, and opened fire on the congregation attending today’s service, using an AR-15. Explosive devices were also reportedly found on the scene, and a search for other explosives is currently under way.
Prior to being detained the suspect was reported as saying “all Jews need to die” to officers at the scene. The shooter is now in police custody, alive.

Despite being named Time's Person of Year, Tarana Burke was not included in the iconic TIME cover. She is the forgotten founder of #MeToo, and though others have gained positive attention through the use of her creation, Tarana Burke remains unacknowledged, unthanked and unrecognized. Take a moment to celebrate #TaranaBurke and her immense contributions to sexual violence prevention and awareness. Tarana, thank you for your incredible activism. You have uplifted and healed countless survivors and deserve recognition and applause far greater than what you've received. Let's give Tarana the thanks and magazine cover she deserves.
**You can follow Tarana on social media and primarily through her website and personal blog sheslays.com

Arrested at 17 in 2012, Ali Nimr was attending a pro-democracy march led by Shia Muslims in Qatif when Saudi state police began an imminent clampdown on protestors. Beaten badly and immediately handcuffed, Ali was stuffed into a truck and driven away from Qatif, unaware at the time that he would not see his hometown again.
Ali Nimr would sit in Saudi prison for 3 years facing interrogations, beatings, psychological and physical torture before a sentence would be applied to his case. In 2015, the same year Saudi Arabia would be inducted as the chair of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Ali Nimr would be sentenced to death. Specifically, public beheading and crucifixion–an arcane, ancient punishment reserved only for the worst of offenders. Ali’s sentencing violates sacrosanct international law: under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, individuals cannot be executed for crimes committed as a minor.
As a young, Shia Muslim and pro-democracy activist, Ali Nimr is the poster-child for Saudi Arabia’s brand of preventative execution; what better a way to quell any hint of dissent or pro-democracy from young Shias and activists in general than to crucify Ali? Who would follow in the footsteps of an activist whose path ultimately led to beheading?

I don't know if you've answered this in the past but, what made you decide to do electrolysis over laser? I'm stuck between the two ?
I did five sessions of laser hair removal on my face in 2015 early 2016 and it lessened the hair on my face considerably but it grew back in a lot of places and didn’t work in certain areas at all. So instead of having like a full beard now it’s just a patchy one so they next step would be electrolysis to permanently remove the rest of the hair they didn’t respond to the laser treatments. I’ve been told the laser works better on the body then the face so if your trying to removal the hair on your face permanently electrolysis is the way to go. I wish I would’ve just done that from jump. There’s places where they numb your face and just do five hours of electrolysis on your face but I’m wary of that and I’m just going to stick to the lady I’ve been going to because she knows how to work on darker skin. If any of my trans followers are in the Bay Area and your looking for affordable laser hair removal or electrolysis I’ll refer you to the ladies who help me they work with a lot of black trans women so your skin won’t get burnt up.
Also if anyone wants to help me pay for my electrolysis please donate It’s 60 dollars a session every two weeks for the next year so please help out if you can! https://www.paypal.me/rrenee

Destabilizing the Imperialist Narrative with Chinese Graphic Tees
“...Is it hard to consider that Chinese people might have a perspective on your ugly-ass Chinese tattoo? Do all Chinese people, over a billion of the world's population, care so much about what white people think of them that they want to wear English on their shirt to prove that they speak English?...”

A “Better Deal” is Democrats’ Last Ditch Effort to Reclaim Voter Base
While the Better Deal is delivered as an answer to age-old economic challenges faced by majority of Americans, primary concerns immediately arise when analyzing the Democrats’ tendency of applying band-aid solutions to longstanding conflicts in platform points.
One chronic weakness is the desire to “tame” capitalism with small-scale, superficially socialist tactics.
Schumer, like many establishment Democrats, only merely mentions the problem of job loss and price increases while failing to address the reason why companies take advantage in the lack of regulatory practice.
Corporations prioritize their bottom line in a free market system before anything else, and these failings can only be attributed to their enablement by both Republicans and Democrats. Corporations know it costs less to use low wage employment in countries with less regulations and the substantially smaller risk involved with machine manufacturing in lieu of human workers. No amount of tax breaks or penalties can alleviate the damage caused by what many people refuse to acknowledge simply as corporate greed–a natural component of the capitalist culture which thrives in the United States. No amount of promises from either side of the political aisle can bring back the amount of lost jobs, and this directly affects the populace Democrats are attempting to sway.

“The Southern Poverty Law Center, a group that tracks domestic extremism, has reported that hate groups have been on the rise for the second year in a row. The group has stated that the candidacy of Trump has “electrified the radical right.” This pertains to demands to ban immigration from some Muslim-majority countries, demands for ideological inspection of those entering the country, and calls for mass deportation.
Anti-Muslim hate crimes surged 67% in 2015, the year Trump launched his campaign. Anti-Muslim hate groups have practically tripled since 2015: from 34 to 101 last year. Matthew Heimbach, a prominent member of the alt right, described Trump as the “gateway drug” for white nationalism by providing political space for the spread of extreme nationalistic ideals and growth.”

4 Reasons Why You’re Wrong About Omar Khadr
“...Omar Khadr was charged with throwing a grenade during the firefight which resulted in the death of Christopher Speer--and it is this allegation which comprises the basis of justification for his torture, illegal confinement, violation of the Charter of Rights and Freedom and the contemporary vitriol of many Canadians.
However, incensed Canadians seem to be forgetting one thing: there is an overwhelming chance this allegation is not true...”
