Just a quick little post to share this watercolor and ink illustration. What do you think?

I’ve been playing with my watercolors more. I have to switch up between my mdiums to keep myself feeling loose and free in my style. Etsy says that mushrooms will be a trendy thing people will be interested in this fall. I’m not sure how they predict these things but I like mushrooms and it seemed like a good reason to paint them.

So, here are three of my mushroom paintings. I think I like the blue one the most.

I’m happy to share that before I even listed these two paintings in my Etsy store, I sold them!

It feels incredible when someone takes notice of my artwork and finds something of value in it. I am grateful to the people who have bought my paintings and also to anyone who views my posts here and shows their support and encouragement. Everytime I present my artwork online, I have to muster my courage and leave my comfort zone. I am elated that I have been welcomed with love as I reveal myself. I feel fortunate to have people believe in me. To have confidence in my ability and unknowingly give me confidence to keep trying.

I was really pleased with how these two paintings turned out. Even though I have delivered the originals to their new home, I will have high-quality prints to sell online once I get them listed in my shop.

If you haven’t started following me yet, please consider doing so. I really appreciate the support! I’m also adding a link to my Insta if you’d like to follow me there. I don’t know how other artists organically get tons of followers, but I’m making an effort to consistently post and see if I can grow.

I painted these two canvases as a set and that’s how I listed them on my Etsy store. I’m wondering if maybe I should sell them separetly though. They are 12”x12”x1” gallery-wrapped canvases. I love the colors and texture on them. They make me think of a abstract beach landscape with the little area of colors representing the umbrellas, towels, and people.

New watercolor painting I just finished. Thinking about painting more similar to this. I could use some feedback though. Should I paint more nude figures? What do you think of this one?

Earlier this evening I posted on Facebook that I had added these two paintings to my Etsy shop. 5 minutes later I got the notification that they had both sold!!

While I realize that was greater luck than I will probably ever have again, I’m so excited and grateful for that experience!

I think I will order prints of the paintings and make some more paintings of Virgin Mary soon.
