I donât know if people really knew that I also ran jnpr-isms, but.
So, after the "Great Food Fight of '14" I began questioning, any other similar incidents where something much more innocent and harmless in any other school ended up with broken tables and unconscious students?
Hey, I hate to be doing this on this ask, but Iâm not answering in-character questions anymore. You guys have all been great, but to sum it up, the show has (always had) some seriously racist undertones that I just canât ignore anymore. I go further in depth over here [x]. Iâm leaving my inbox open in case anyone wants to have a deeper discussion about why I canât support the show anymore, but past thatâŚ
I still love the versions of JNPR that live in my head, but this has been coming on for a while now. I started out watching the season on a pirate site, because I didnât want to give RT my monetary support (for a number of reasons), but now I just donât want to give the show any extra advertisement, period. Iâm an American. So are the folks at RT. This racism plotline, with all its questions of ethics and the morality of resistance, is not theirs to tell â or, more specifically, not their questions to answer. and while that used to seem (to my white self, I admit that stuff might have been going over my head) like just awkwardly bad writing, at this point, with our country so torn apart that they canât use the excuse of ignorance anymore, it is incredibly irresponsible to pull from real life the way theyâre doing and a) attempt to answer questions about the ârightâ way to resist when the writing room is predominantly made up of white men, and b) make the main resistance group so evil. Sienna Khan was the closest they had to a medium between Adamâs bloody revolution stance and Blakeâs peaceful protest only stance, and even she was willing to execute people for not falling in line with her rules. People are inevitably going to connect the White Fang to the Black Lives Matter movement, just because of the modern social parallels â so honestly, this ends up feeling like subtextual propaganda. The oppressed are gonna rise up and murder or enslave us all if we donât keep them in check. Ghira even had a fucking line in episode 3 about how Adam was making it harder to condemn the humansâ hatred of them. Like, what kind of bullshit is that? Oppressive racism is always condemnable, no matter what the actions of individual members of the oppressed group. And, in fact, Adamâs behavior feeds right into the fears of white nationalists in our country right now. We have Nazis and white nationalists rallying openly on the streets chanting that they will not be replaced â essentially, that they refuse to be oppressed at the hands of their former slaves â which is not whatâs actually happening, of course â but what do they have Adam, a prominent leader of the oppressed groupâs resistance say? Expressly that â he wants to make the humans serve him. A further kick in the teeth is that theyâve taken white nationalist language â all that bullshit about a superior race â and put it in the mouth of that same oppressed resistance leader.
In the end, yeah, maybe itâs just a cartoon, but I donât want to give any support to the type of people who would make that cartoon.Â
(This was the first ask I received since I announced I was leaving the fandom, so my thoughts just kind of spilled out onto it. I wonât apologize for any of what I said, but I will apologize for hijacking your question. To answer it, Iâm sure Nora has broken a bed or two by jumping on it.)

Oscar, can you drive?
Oscar: I can drive a tractor pretty well. Iâve only tried to drive a car once though, and⌠it was pretty bad. In my defense, that cow came out of nowhere.

Might be late, but , FACT? Also your blog is great! !
Oscar: This girl wouldnât last one day on a farm. Sheâs got muscles the size of how much I enjoy having a random old guy in my head, and she burns like paper under the sun.
Send me âFACTâ for one random fact about the mun as told by the muse [x]

Hi guys. You all may have noticed that I havenât been very active lately? This is why. Iâve been scrambling to make some sort of ends meet at home, and itâs just not working anymore. We are over $20,000 in debt right now with no way to pay it all off. If we donât, we might end up losing the house and the car.
I donât want to ask for your help, but I sorely need it. Even just a dollar or two would mean the world to me. And even if you canât donate, if you could reblog this, and spread it around Iâd appreciate it.

So... did your grades go up with an ancient man inside your head? Oooor did your teachers just wanna send you to the looney bin?
Oscar: I mean, I wasnât really in school before. I mostly just taught myself from books in my auntâs house between chores. Iâll tell you what, though, it has made learning new things a lot easier. I just look up a fact and then I sort of⌠remember everything about it. Itâs kinda creepy.
