I realized that Ive mentioned that objects hatch from eggs but ive never actually explained how those eggs are made So, this post is to explain it
(obviously theres gonna be some inaccuracies because i dont know exactly how to get my ideas down into words but its close enough)
A blood sample from each parent is taken and mixed together
The mixed blood is put into special liquid with nutrients it doesn't already have
Over the course of a month it absorbs the mixture and forms a shell (Patterns are random but the colors are same as the parents or the child inside)
The parents take care of the egg for months until it hatches
If the egg breaks the process has to be redone, though eggs are pretty tough and it takes a hard impact to break them
The process can also be used with parts of inanimate objects, though its more complicated and often fails

a genuine thank you to the OSC
my 3 year anniversary of being in the object show community (my osc-versery as i like to call it) is coming up next week and its genuinely insane to me how, what started off as my friend getting me back into BFDI and II while we were camping, has genuinely became something thats such a huge part of my life and my hobbies.
i love the osc, i always have, its just- if i never agreed to go camping with my friend that day i dont think i wouldve gotten back into it. i remember getting home, laying on my bed, and binge watching burger brawl because they thought it was funny. (and yes i know the whole deal with the creator)
since i got into the osc ive seen some amazing artists and even started drawing myself. if i never started drawing my silly little object ocs i dont think i wouldve learned to draw my other non-object ocs.
i want to say a genuine thank you to this entire community because its probably one of my favorite that ive ever been in. heres to hoping theres more years and more fun to come!

Ran by @rainy-october-weekends most so he can post his ref sheets, art that doesnt fit with his blog, fun facts about characters, and other headcanons/lore stuff for his own little osc world
All characters will be tagged with proper tags (what AU they're from and their name)
the actual comics for nearly all of the aus are private but each post will be tagged with whatever au is shown below is each AU and its abbreviation and a brief explanation
winter high (WH)- a "what if" universe where fan, soap, polaris, rocket, cream, and kit met as freshmen in highschool instead of in the hospital
apocalypse au- inspiration was pibby apocalypse and its corruption (specifically with the BFDI FNF mods) some changes
fallen universes (FU)- a "what if" universe where humans dont exist and objects rule the world big brother yang (BBY)- a "what if" universe where yin and yang arent twins, instead yang is 14 and trying to find his missing parents while juggling work and raising his 1 year old sister family of phones (FOP)- main universe comic for my meeple ocs (ipod, SE, 2, and proto) and their families objectcare/bad hospital au (OC)- a sparklecareesque au following the same cast as winter high (check it out at @objectcare) winter fam- main universe where fan, soap, polaris, rocket, and kit all have a huge family hospital gang- main universe where fan, soap, polaris, rocket, cream, and kit all exist together in a hospital (not to be confused with the bad hospital au) labrat au- au where all meeple products are rats instead of phones (kinda like protogens) creature au- every object has some form of mixed animal traits (like ears from one animal and a tail from another)
