Stamping! Fantastic activity (slightly messy but easy to wipe and quick to chuck in a box to put away) my toddler loved making up stories with the different stamps. This set has farm house, farmer, and animals. We used pencils to draw things like fields and houses for the animals. Talking about where they live and what they eat. Learning to put the stamp on the paper and then press it instead of BANGING it down was ...fun. We took turns using the stamps and toddler asked lots of questions - where’s the...? Shall we make another house? Is there lots of..? To extend Counting the animals & writing the numbers Writing the names /matching the animal with the letter it begins with

Sorry guys I thought easter would be a fantastic time for uploading loads of ways to have fun with toddlers but wev had so much fun that I just haven’t had the time!!! Today we got the usual button box (literally a box full of different buttons collected over the years) and toddler found the plastic cups bowls plates and cutlery. We made dinner, snacks, shared pieces with absolutely everyone - yum yum 😊 Buttons are fab for counting, shape matching, big & little, colours, sharing etc - oh and.....TIDDLYWINKS

Today’s activity is actually following on from a farm visit in the morning to see new lambs (linking activities 🙊) it was extremely muddy there we loved it so much we came home and made our own muddy puddle. Cornflour (fair amount for the box using) Coco powder Cold water Add cornflour and coco powder to box bowl whatever your using as a container. Add water a bit at a time and mix until right consistency. Liquidy. Chuck some plastic animals in and pop toddler in front of it.

Yay a slightly sunny day ☀️ we made a water wall (admittedly at grandparents house) these are fantastic for outdoor water play. We collected plastic bottles over a couple of weeks & used scissors under supervision to cut holes for the water to run through. I attached to wire netting with plastic ties. It’s best to punch a hole in the side of the bottle for the ties to go through. I used a long planter as a tray to catch the water (saves traipsing to the tap every 2seconds) Have fun everyone! 😊☀️

Play dough. An everyday activity. Because there’s something new to do with it EVERYDAY of course. Today we chose to mix our play dough colours & look at the fantastic results.

Sometimes it’s the simplest things that entertain your toddler. Found this on Pinterest somewhere. cardboard box (iv used one the kids toilet seat came in recently - it’s a good idea to try & keep some boxes you get to have at hand) small lengths of string, ribbon, cord whatever. Paint colour of toddler choice mostly on the box not the toddler! And make holes with pencil in box to thread ribbon through both sides and tie knot in both ends. Toddler spends ages pulling all ribbons through one side & flipping box over to start again. Who knew this could be so satisfying for adults as well.

We actually made salt dough Easter eggs but I don’t seem to have taken a photo of these! Toddler loved the sensory experience of mixing the flour water and salt together then making other things with it like snowmen ⛄️ and fish

Yesterday’s messiness! GLOOPY Add water to cornflour & chuck a bit of glitter in with some plastic animals (or anything easily washable) and you’ve got about an hour of free time! Or if you choose to stay & play this provides some great conversation starters. “It feels drippy...and hard!”

Today’s toddler time - sticking & pulling up masking tape! Such a simple activity to set up. Here the tape became a barn with animals in then a rocket and a castle. Then it was stuck all over a cardboard box
