Scream Queen Book 1: Conventional Final Girl
The Epilogue
Chapter 8 / Masterlist
Hey guys, just letting you know after the epilogue I wonât be posting on this account anymore! Iâll keep it up for a while though. Anyways, if you want you can follow my main account @total-lost-boys-simp for more stories and eventually a sequal to SCB1CFG! It was great getting some new readers & just know this doesnât mean goodbye! Thank you for everything!
Itâs been what, a little less than a year? About eight months, I think. I still have these bone chilling dreams about Billy & Stu. One minute weâll be close, watching a movie like Friday the 13th, Pieces, Maniac, or even Sleepaway Camp. Next Iâll hear the phone ring. Quickly Iâll say, âIâll get it,â and move myself off the couch leaving a space between them. The person on the line will say, âHello (y/n), itâs been a while,â instantly I could recognize it as Ghostface. Looking back at the couch the boys would be gone, no trace of them ever there. âWho is this?â Iâll ask, even though I know the answer all too well. Iâd hear a laugh on the other line before being yanked back into someoneâs arms. Looking at who it is Iâll be filled with dread just seeing the masked killer as they raise the knife over their head. Suddenly Iâm being pulled away by a blood covered Stu saying, âWe have to get help!â When I look back for the murderer we stop at a doorâŠ
Looking forward Iâll see the deranged killer in the stark white mask yet again but this time heâs taking it off to reveal himself as Billy looking in my direction with a Kubrick Stare. âWe all go a little mad sometimes,â he says before raising a gun that barely misses me. Thatâs when I realize itâs not me heâs aiming for. The person he does shoot changes every time, it could be; Sidney, Tatum, Casey, Steve, or even Principal Himbry⊠but they say the same thing each time, âSave me (y/n),â before they bleed out on the floor. Next thing I knew both Billy and Stu come charging at me, tossing me to the ground. Theyâll hold me down as they run the Buck 120 knife all along my body. Itâs so vivid, I can feel the chilling alloy steel grazing my skin all the way from my jaw in my abdomen. They whisper nonsensical things in my face. And when one of them raises the knife above their head and plunge it into my body, everything just goes white.
âHey, earth to (y/n)?â I hear Randy call me from the counter.
âHm? Whatâs up?â I asked, snapping my head in his direction leaving my thoughts behind.
âYouâve been staring at the shelf for almost fifteen minutes,â He complains
âGuess thereâs just too good of a selection?â I said with a false smile and a shrug.
âYeah sure, just up and pick a movie,â Randy said, rolling his eyes.
âJeez did anyone ever tell you that patience is a virtue?â I laughed out as I snatch up a copy of Amityville Horror.
âStill staying away from slashers?â Randy asks, a sympathetic look in his eyes.
âYeah, they just remind me too much of that nightâŠâ I said, look down and scratching my arm.
âanyways...What are you and your dad gonna do tonight?â He asked, trying to change the subject.
âHmm? Oh Neil just wanted to stay in and watch some movies, maybe order some pizza?â
âHe adopted you over half a year ago, start calling him Dad for once!â Randy said, cackling at his own words.
âYeah yeah whatever, see ya later!â I shouted as I left the store.
So much has happened since October of last year. The day after âThat Nightâ Neil told me about what Stu and Billy did to my mom. It was just Neil and I from then on so he decided that I should officially be his daughter! Neither of us see it as replacing Sid or my own parents, if anything we see it as a better way to remember them and keep them close. The town held a mass memorial for all of the victims. The individual funerals were hell. I just wanted to say goodbye to my friends, my mother and my sister but there were reporters and news vans at every turn.
Itâs never been the same after I not only lost Tatum and Sindey but also⊠Stu and Billy. I get it, I shouldnât have anywhere near a soft spot for those two but I do. I donât excuse anything they did because it tore apart everything that made me happy in the world. That doesnât mean I donât see why they did it. Billy was hurt and driven mentally insane once his mother abandoned him because of the affair. And Stu, at the same time he might be a spoiled rich kid but he was also manipulated into all of it by Billy. In a way, neither of them had full control of what they did.
I like to think that had they not run away on âThat Nightâ they wouldâve been sentenced but also wouldâve been able to get the psychiatric help they really needed.
âNeil, Iâm home!â I shouted as I opened the door. No response.
âNeil?â I called out again, suspicion rising in my voice. No response again.
âAre you here?â I asked, looking around the living room, the kitchen, upstairs in his room, Sidâs room, my room, every room in the house.
âNeil?!â I called out again this time with frantic breathing and hot tears itching at my skin.
âOh woah, woah, kiddo itâs okay!â Neil came from around the corner running to me.
âI thought- I thought you were gone! That they took you! Where were you?!â I asked, clinging to his sleeves and he pulled me into a hug.
âShh shh, I was in the garage working on the car, kid,â He said as he rocked me back and forth.
âI already lost mom and Sid. I don't want to lose you too, Dad,â I said as I thought back to how I found Sid and Tatum at Stuâs houseâŠand the officer who sat me down to tell me how my mom passed away.
âHey, itâs okay, Iâm okay, weâre okay,â Neil softly said, trying to calm me down.
âYa know what, you got a letter on the counter, looks like it might be from a family member, go take a look,â Neil said as he ruffled my hair.
Going downstairs I look on the kitchen counter, sure enough thereâs an envelope with neat and somewhat familiar handwriting. Huh no return address, I thought to myself. Iâm careful not to rip the paper as I open the envelope. As I looked inside I saw a few polaroids and folded paper inside. Taking the polaroids out ran my blood cold. One of them was a picture Mrs. Riley took of Sid, Tatum, and I from our final sleepover. The next was of our group at the fountain, all of us, but Sid and Tatumâs faces were crossed out and small Ghostface doodles were placed over Billy and Stuâs. The last two were pictures of me, Stu and Billy on Stuâs couch at one of our movie nights. Placing the pictures down I look at the paper⊠on the folded front said; To: (y/n), from: Yours Truly. The letter itself said;
Dear (y/n),
Itâs been a while. Weâve really missed you. Howâs your momâŠoh wait. We just wanted to check in and let you know weâre doing fine after you killed us. Or well, almost killed us. We bet youâre wondering how weâre still alive, Right?
Well for starters, the knife? A retractable prop, bit of a let down since you didnât actually stab Stu, right? Then that gun, we switched out Dew-fusesâ bullets for blanks while you ran to his car. Really explains how Randy lived. You most likely knew that already. Also when you kick someone against a coffee table, you should really check their pulse next time.
We hope you havenât gotten too comfortable thinking weâre gone for good âcause trust us baby, weâre coming back for the sequal.
P.S. you should pick up the phone.
Sincerely,
Yours Truly
Just as I finished reading the letter I heard a ringing from the telephone in the lounge area where Sidney got the call the night we were attacked. Cautiously I walked over to it, fear in my chest making my heart race and my palms sweat. âHello?â I asked, swallowing nothing out of pure nervousness.
âHello, (y/n), miss me?â Asked an all too familiar raspy off pitched voice.
âOh shit.â

Scream Queen Book 1: Conventional Final Girl
Chapter 8
Chapter 7 / Epilogue
Hey y'all! I'm sorry I took a long unprompted hiatus from the story, I need to catch up on course work and didn't focus on updating. Again, I'm so sorry but I'm back now! This is the second to last update, though I'm thinking of turning this into an anthology series with different slashers. Let me know if that sounds fun to y'all!
P.S. let me know if you want to be added to the taglist!
I heard shouting and yelling upstairs, getting worried I ran up hoping that Billy and Sid werenât fighting. When I got there I flung the door open, âSid! Sid everything ok-â I paused as I saw what was layed out before me⊠literally. Both Sid and Billyâs lifeless bodies toppled over on the large mattress. âOh my godâŠâ I said as I held the door open, only then did I notice the person dressed in all black holding a bloodied hunting knife. That was when he noticed me as well. âOh shit, this is not happening!â I shouted as I ran out of the room. Locking the door I ran down the balcony hallway and into another room then out into the other end of the hallway. I was going to go down the stairs but the killer was already there. Panicking, I turned to go back the way I came. On instinct I slammed the door right in the killerâs face. He fell down in pain as I made my way to yet another room. There wasnât another way out in this one⊠so much for quick thinking.Â
With the killer banging on the door I realized the only way out was through one of the windows. Unfortunately they were both shut. It was no use calling for help, no one would hear me. Or maybe thereâs another window? To my luck there was, I crawled out and finally shouted, âHelp!â before the killer came in and pried my hand off of the window sill. This is it, this is where I die, isnât it? Nope, save by a tarp! Jumping down Iâm ready to run when I see it, another person close to me has met their untimely demise⊠âTatum?â I asked, as if she could answer, hot tears were running down my face before I could even understand. I ran away as fast as I could, not even checking to see if the Ghostface was following me.Â
âHelp! Please help!â I shouted out as I ran through Stuâs yard and up to the fence. Breaking down a few of the flimsy wood planks I ran up to the news van. âCâmon please let me in!â I screamed out, jolting Galeâs camera guy to life. âHeâs gonna kill me, he killed Tatum!â I wailed as I leaped into the van. The camera guy pointed to a screen showing Randy and the killer creeping behind him. He hopped out of the Van but both of us noticed the open front door. Thatâs when the camera guy was stabbed by the Ghostface. I closed the door, the masked murderer cutting my arm in the process. If dealing with mental suffering wasnât enough then physical suffering will be. I crawled out a small hole in the back of the van.Â
I donât even look behind me, I just start running and leaping over another fence back into the yard. Oh god where is everyone canât there just be someone here? I continue running, Shit the road, there has to be someone coming down the street? I see the news van driving so I hop in the way and try to wave it down. âStop! Stop!â I shouted. Things go exactly the way I didnât want them to go and the van swerves off the street and down a hill. Thinking nothing can be done about that, I run to the house again in search of Tatumâs brother. âDewey! I need help, Dewey!â I called out but only got echos in response. The front door opens and out walks Dewey.Â
âOh god, Dewey!â I called out in relief.Â
â(y/n)?â He asked, he was about to walk down to me until he toppled over on the stairs thanks to a knife in his back.Â
âDewey! Oh no! No no no!â I shouted as my hand covered my mouth, both most likely smeared in blood now.Â
Thatâs when Ghostface popped out from the doorframe, yanking the knife out of Deweyâs back and cleaning it off. I ran away horrified by everything that just took place and beeline for the patrol car. Seeing the killer go for the passenger door I hurriedly push down on the lock button. He quickly went for my side but I rolled the window up and pushed down the button just in time. I go to turn the key only to notice theyâre not there. âShit shit shit shit!â I cried down slamming my hands on the wheel. The killer knocks on the window to get my attention then dangles the keys right in my face. Before I have time to react he ducks below my view. Frantically I look around to see where he went. The passenger door unlocks so I hop over to lock it. The car radio starts sounding off so I grab the walkie-talkie-thingy and speak into it giving the address of where I am and that I need help. As I was talking the killer comes up from behind and strangles me! Yeah as if Iâm going to let some sick fuck kill me in a car! I punch him where I think his cheek was and he lets go of me. I take the chance to make a run out of the car and to the porch.Â
â(y/n)!â Someone called out my name.Â
Crouching down as I go to get the gun of what I thought to be Deweyâs corpse I look up to see who it is.Â
â(y/n), we gotta get the fuck out of here!â Randy shouted as he limped over to me.
âStop right there Randy,â I said trying to sound as calm as I could while pointing the gun at him.
While hopping on his leg Randy said, âDonât shoot itâs me! I found Tatum, sheâs dead! I think Stu di-â
Stu came running up to the house saying, âDonât listen to him, (y/n)!â he shouted, cutting Randy off.Â
âBoth of you. Just. Stay. Back,â I said sternly as they rambled words to everyone in a mile radius.Â
Stu threw Randy down as they both hurriedly walked towards me.Â
Stu cried, â(y/n), give me that gun, please just give me the gun!â As he kept looking back.Â
I couldnât trust either of them if I was being realistic but given the past few days⊠Stu might be the better option. The two boys were now having a pointing match as they kept looking at me and shouting.Â
âFuck you both!â I shouted and ran inside ignoring their protests as I locked the door. âGo away, please just go! Find help!âÂ
A grunt was heard from the stairs, whipping around. I saw Billy.Â
âBillyâŠâ I said, shocked and relieved at the same time.Â
â(y/n),â he said as he fell down the stairs in his weak state.Â
âNo! Billy!â I said as I rushed to his side.Â
Cradling him in my arms I said, âI thought you were dead, does that mean Sid is-âÂ
âNo, the knife just⊠â Billy said as he held my face, looking away from me. Â
âCâmon letâs get you up,â I said with a small smile, âCarefully.âÂ
âWe gotta get help,â Billy said with a few grunts as he made it to the door.Â
âNo, Billy, heâs out there. The killer is out there!â I raised my voice blocking the door.
âNo, give me the gun. Itâs okay,â He said as he took the gun out of my hands.Â
Moving away from the door I said, âI trust you.âÂ
Randy barges in saying, âPlease help me!âÂ
âGet in, get in!â Billy said as he ushered Randy in the house.
âStuâs flipped out! Heâs gone mad!âÂ
âWe all go a little mad sometimes,â Billy softly says with a smile as he points the gun at Randy.Â
âWhat the fuck Norman Ba- No Billy! What are you doing?â I ask, trying to get the gun away from him but his arm is longer than mine.
âFuck,â Randy says before heâs shot in the chest falling back and taking the table with him.Â
Running to his side I can hear Billy say, âAnthony Perkins, Psycho.âÂ
âItâs not even in the same context Billy what the fuck?â I shouted as I crouched down beside Randy.Â
âMmm, corn syrup,â Billy said as he sucked his finger clean.Â
âSame stuff they used in Carrie, right?â I asked, my voice shaking as I backed up right into another person.Â
Turning around I realized it was Stu, âStu, help please? Itâs Billy!â I said through sobs.Â
Taking something out of his pocket he held it to his mouth and said, âSurprise, (y/n)!âÂ
I know that voice⊠itâs both of themâŠ
Looking between the two I said, âShit,â and shoved Stu out of my way and into the kitchen.Â
I made it to the other side but not before Billy caught up to me pointing the gun in my face.Â
âWoah now,â He said before catching the voice distorter Stu tossed.Â
âWhatâs the matter (y/n)? You look like youâve seen a ghost.â He spoke into it.
Walking to the kitchen counter, seeing that there's no place to go I ask them, âSo why exactly are you doing this?âÂ
âItâs all part of the game, (y/n).â Stu said as they walked closer to me.Â
âItâs called-â Billy raised the distorter to his mouth, â-GUESS HOW IâM GOING TO DIE!â as he raised the gun to me
Flinching back at his words I said, âGod, fuck you both,â while trying not to cry.Â
âNo no no, you had your chance at that game, you passed it up,â Billy said as he switched out the gun for the knife that Stu held up.Â
âItâs all fun and games, (y/n). See we ask a question and if you get it wrong- BUGAH!â Stu shouted thrusting the gun in my face, âYa die.â
âAnd if you get it rightâŠâ Billy trailed off, his eyes trailing me up and down.Â
âYa know youâre crazy right? The both of you,â I said as I leaned as far away as I could from them.Â
âWe prefer the term psychotic,â Stu said with a grin as he came up behind Billy, perching his head on his shoulder.Â
Shaking my head and laughing a little I said, âYouâre never getting away with this.âÂ
âI donât know, tell that to Cotton Weary⊠You wouldnât believe how easy he was to frame,â Billy said, twirling the knife around my hair.Â
âWait Sidneyâs momâsâŠâ I trailed, it was all starting to make sense now.Â
âWatch a few movies, take a few notes, it was fun!â Stu said, his head still perched on Billyâs shoulder.
âThatâs what you meant Stu?â I asked them, this time they were the ones a little confused.Â
âWhen Billy arrived, after he and Sid went upstairs you said Billy was using meâŠâ I looked up my anger clear as day, âIt wasnât to get back together, it was to string her along, why?âÂ
âWhy⊠WHY? Hear that Stu, I think she wants a motive,â Billy said, looking back at Stu.Â
âWell I donât really believe in motive, (y/n). Did Norman Bates have a motive?â Billy asked, looking back at me.Â
âNope,â Stu said, pointing his index finger up.Â
âDid they ever decide why Hannibal Lecter liked to eat people? Donât think so!â Billy said aggressively as he shoved his face in mine.Â
âYouâre wrong,â I quietly said
âWhat was that?â Billy asked as he pointed the knife to my chest. Stu came running up, cupping his ear with his hand.Â
âI said youâre wrong.âÂ
âCare to elaborate for the class?â Billy asked, more so commanded.Â
âBates was motivated to kill Crane out of self induced fear from the past trauma of his now dead mother that never left. And similarly Hannibal ate people because of how strong the fears from his trauma were, killing and eating people were the only ways to silence itâŠâ I said, getting more frightened with each word that came out of my mouth.Â
âOh is that so?â Billy asked, looking at Stu who held the gun up.Â
âSo tell me Billy, was it possibly because your father was hooking up with Sid's mom causing your mother to leave giving you a strong sense of abandonment that could only be silenced by killing the cause?â I asked, closing my eyes ready for my death.Â
I could tell Stu was shocked too, he didnât even know⊠did he?
Billy backed away, pacing around. He pointed the knife up saying, âYa know (y/n), you should really take up psychology, right Stu?âÂ
âRight Billy,â Stu said with a laugh, earring him a glare from Billy.Â
âSo what are you going to do to me?â I asked
Billy took my hand and twirled me into his arms. Placing one around my torso and the other behind my head, âDarling, Iâm not gonna hurt you⊠Iâm just gonna bash your brains in!âÂ
âJack Torrance, The Shining,â I said before biting my lip trying not to cry again. Force of habit?Â
âItâs just a little fun! Lighten up!â Stu shouted and laughed, still having the gun at eye level.Â
âJust pretend itâs all a scary movie, (y/n). How do you think itâs going to end?â Billy asked, moving his hand from the back of my head to my hair.Â
Before I could say anything Stu exclaimed, âOh-oh this is the greatest part! Youâre gonna love this! We got a surprise for ya, (y/n)! Yeah youâre gonna love this one! Itâs a scream baby!â Before leaving the kitchen.Â
âYou two really had me fooled, ya know?â I said, leaning my head to the side.Â
âWhat do you mean?â Billy asked, running the knife along my body.Â
âI mean I actually thought you two liked me...from the moment you confessed to when Stu kissed me at the party,â I said, laughing as a tear ran down my cheek.Â
âWe do (y/n), we honestly do like you but this is necessary for the plot,â Billy said, stroking my hair.Â
âWhat plot Billy? This isnât a scary movie⊠The credits arenât going to roll after Iâm dead, it wonât be a jump shot twenty years later when you two have happy little suburban familiesâŠâ I said as I started crying harder.Â
âOh what do we have behind door number three (y/n)?!â Stu exclaimed as he came back into the kitchen dragging someone in
âNeil!â I shouted trying to rush to him only to be yanked back by Billy.Â
âWoah hold it, thatâs enough,â Billy says as he secures me to his chest.Â
Picking the distorter off the counter Stu said, âGuess we wonât be needing this anymore, huh?â before shoving it in Neilâs pocket.
âAnd oh look at this, ring ring? Wonât need this,â Stu said again, this time shoving a compact black cellphone into the pocket
âGot the ending figured out yet (y/n)?!â Billy shouted as he jostled my body around.Â
âCâmon (y/n), ya think about it! Your stepdaddy is the chief suspect! We cloned his cellular, the evidence is all there!â Stu shouted as he pointed at Neil then shoved him to the ground.Â
âNeil snapped, his wifeâs murder anniversary made him snap, sending him on a murder spree killing everyone-'' Billy was cut off.Â
âExcept for Billy and me, we were left for dead,â Stu said with a wild expression as he rotated his fingers between him and Billy.Â
âThen he kills you,â Billy started again, âThen he shoots himself in the head. Perfect ending.âÂ
âI thought of that,â Stu said with a big smile as Billy tossed me to the side.Â
âI canât fucking believe you!â I shouted, making the two boys pause.Â
âWhat?â They both said.Â
âSeriously Stu? Youâre the one who wanted to kill me after you tried to get with me like a week ago, then kissed me four hours ago? And yet youâre the one that wanted me dead, now that, that there is just fucking perfect!â I shouted pacing around and running my hands through my hair and down my shoulders.Â
âSeriously? Youâre getting upset about that right now?â Billy asked
âYeah no shit I am! Iâve processed every other fucking thing in the world but this is the shit that still baffles me the most!â I shouted again, hot tears streaming down my face.Â
âJust get on with it already man!â Stu exclaimed, ignoring everything I just said.Â
As Billy was about to stab his friend âfor the sake of the plotâ, I said, âBack the fuck up Norman Bates,â Shoving Billy back and taking the knife before he could say anything.Â
âWhat are you-â Stu stopped and cried in pain as I stabbed him, staying to the side and not going too deep, âWhat the fuck, (y/n)?âÂ
Judging by the way Billy was looking at him the entire time, I wonât be the one to kill him.Â
âHowâs that for the fucking plot! Asshole!â I screamed in his face as I grabbed the collar of his shirt.Â
Grabbing Stuâs hand I shoved the knife handle into his palm and said, âI just wanted to help,â in a sneering tone.Â
I know what youâre thinking, stupid right? I know what Iâm doing.Â
Billy being as delusional as he was right now ignored my behavior and told Stu to just carry on, so he did.Â
âAh fuck! Jesus Christ!â Billy cried out as he slammed himself against the kitchenâs island, âFuck, goddamit Stu!âÂ
âIâm sorry Billy, I guess I got a little too zealous, huh?â Stu said as he looked right at me.Â
âGive me the knife,â Billy commanded.Â
âNo,â Stu said, like a child that didnât want to share his toy.
âGive me the knife! NOW!â Billy commanded louder, like the mother ready to punish their child.
âSee (y/n), everybody dies but us. Everybody dies but us! We can carry on and plan the sequel! Letâs face it baby, these days- you gotta have a sequel!â Stu shouted, spitting up saliva like a rabid animal.Â
Flinching at the sound of Stu getting stabbed again I said, âYou sick fucks, youâve seen one too many movies. And thatâs a lot coming from me.âÂ
âNow (y/n), donât blame the movies! Movies donât create psychos, movies make psychos more creative!â Billy yells as he gashes Stu again.Â
âBilly youâre going to fucking kill him!â I shout, even though I should be relieved that itâs going to be one down one to go I just⊠I canâtÂ
âYeah stop it Billy, I canât take anymore⊠Iâm feeling woozy here!â Stu shouts out, leaning over.Â
âAlright, ya know what you get the gun and Iâll untie pops, okay?â Billy commands as he holds the knife to Stuâs chin, âNOW!âÂ
Stu gives a hushed, âAlrightâ as he walks over Neil and to the desk where the gun should be.Â
âUm, uhm, Heuston we have a problem here,â Stu says as he turns around.Â
Now pointing the knife at me Billy asks, âWhat?âÂ
âThe gun, man! The gun I put it right there and it's not there,â Stu panics in a laugh.Â
Walking over to Stu Billy shouts, âWhere the fuck is it?!âÂ
âRight here asshole,â Said none other than Gale Weathers from the kitchen door frame, pointing the gun at Billy.Â
Never in my life have I ever thought Iâd be happy to see her.Â
âI thought she was dead,â Billy said, looking over at Stu and gesturing to Gale with his knife.Â
âShe looked dead, man,â Stu said in shock before changing to a funny tone and saying, âShe still does.â
âIâve got an ending for you, the reporter left for dead in the news van? Comes to,â She said as she wielded the gun with a shaky hand.Â
She kept going but I really wasnât listening, I was more so worried about my life, Neilâs life, partially her life, and sadly even the boysâ lives.Â
Standing up straight I said, âI like that ending,â Getting the attention of Stu who looked a little hurt by my words.Â
And just like that my savior becomes my doom when Billy yanks the gun from her hand and kicks her right out the door. Fuck.Â
I take this chance to run from the boys, I drag Neil away as well. Taking the phone and voice distorter from his pocket before shoving him and myself in the closet.Â
Once in a secure spot I dialed the house number, Billy answered with a âHello?âÂ
Holding the voice distorter to my mouth I speak into the phone, âAre you alone in the house?âÂ
âBitch, you bitch! Where the fuck are you?!â Billy shouts getting more frustrated by the second.Â
âNot so fast, weâre going to play a little game. Itâs called-â I removed the distorter, âguess who just called the police and reported your sorry motherfucking ass?!âÂ
âFind her you dipshit! GET UP!â Billy shouted into the phone again but this time directed at Stu.Â
I couldnât hear much of what Stu said but I definitely did hear, âI think Iâm dyin here man,âÂ
My breath hitched.Â
âHello?â Stu said into the phoneÂ
âAwe Stu, Stu, Stu baby whatâs your motive? Billyâs got one, the police are on their way, what are you going to tell them?â I asked, trying not to focus on the feeling of my heartbreaking.Â
âPeer pressure, Iâm far too sensitive-â Stu was cut off by Billy.Â
âIâm gonna rip you up bitch, just like your sister and her whore mother!â Billy shouted into the phone.Â
âBetter find me first, delusional, traumatized, mamaâs boy! At least, before the cops find you,â Iâm sure they could both hear me smirking through the phone.
I could hear the boys shouting and crashing things around the house as I just stood here with my heart racing.Â
âHey babe⊠did you really call the police?â Stu asked into the phone.Â
âOh baby, Stu, you bet your sorry little oblivious lap dog ass I did,â I said trying to stifle a laugh but not let tears fall down my cheeks at the same time.Â
It hurt so much, all of it. Knowing they wanted to kill me but in a way still harbored these twisted feelings.Â
âMy mom and dad are gonna be so mad as me,â Stu whined like a little kid. Okay thatâs it Iâm just trying not to laugh at this point.Â
Billy was frantically searching when he opened the door to my hiding stop. Before he could spot me he was caught off guard by Laurie screaming as Michael slashed down the panels of the closet in Halloween. I took this as my opportunity to strike, literally. I took an umbrella and rammed both it and him into the wall, puncturing his skin. Just one more time, for good measure. He toppled down and I kicked the gun far away feeling triumphant.Â
That was before Stu came barrelling into the room trying to shove me to the ground. This just backfired and I landed on top of him, straddling him down. âYa know babe, if you werenât trying to kill me, this would be pretty hot,â I whispered into his ear before punching one of his stab wounds.Â
I shot up and made a break for it before Stu flipped us both over the couch. We landed on the ground, the coffee table sliding after we hit it, pillow feathers everywhere. âI really did have a thing for you, (y/n), I really did!â He shouted in my face as he pinned me down. âAfter this? Yeah I call-â pausing as I kicked him off of me, âbullshit,â getting up and seeing Stu on the floor. I kicked him one last time in the face knocking his head into the coffee table leaving a big bloody gash in the back of his head. Yeah, no way heâs coming back from that one, I thought.Â
Walking back into the entry room where most of the bodies were I knelt down by Billy noticing the Ghostface mask on the floor. It mustâve fallen out of the closet when I came at Billy. I practically jumped out of my skin when a hand grasped my arm!Â
âSorry, sorry,â Randy said as he rocked back and forth.Â
âOh my god Randy, I thought you were dead!â I shouted out in relief.Â
âI probably should be, I never thought Iâd be so happy to be a virgin,â Randy exclaimed.Â
I wouldâve laughed had he not been punched in the face a second later.Â
âYou fucker!â Billy shouted as he pulled me up by my shirt collar and slammed me to the ground.Â
I wrestled with Billy for a second before he started choking me and said, âSay hello to Sid and her mother!âÂ
No way Iâm going out like this so I stuck my finger deep into the spot where I punctured him with the umbrella.Â
Just as Billy lifted his arm in the air to retaliate by stabbing me, someone shot him in the chest!Â
Frantically gasping for air I turn over and get up seeing that it was Gale Weathers who shot him. Guess she was my savior afterall.Â
âCâmon, get up,â I said as I hoisted Randy up, walking him over to Gale as I took the gun from her.Â
âGuess who remembered the safety that time? You bastard,â Gale said referring to what Billy said earlier.Â
I kicked Billy under the leg to make sure he was actually dead.Â
âCareful, this is the moment when the supposedly dead killer comes back to life, for one last scareâ Randy warned me as if I didnât know.Â
Billy jolts back up like lightning!
Just like it was second nature I pulled the trigger landing a shot right to his head!
âNot in this movie he doesnât,â I said as I started walking away.Â
Just then a loud crash was heard from the closet and we all screamed!Â
âOh shit, Neil!â I exclaimed as I ran up to him getting randy to help me free him.Â
The after shock of everything that took place happened so fast. The police came and rushed everyone out of the house. Dewey had lived but he might have some serious injuries. Gale, Randy, Neil, and I were all checked out by paramedics. And of course Gale being Gale went on air to talk about what happened. It all felt great, relieved, almost surrealistically amazing to have escaped it all. At least it had until an officer came out of the house to tell me, âWe couldnât find the bodies of the two you reported as the killersâŠâ âWhat?â Was all I could say as I stared over at my loved ones⊠trying to comprehend it all once again. Fear and dread washed over me but deep down a small drop of solace started to bloom.
This wasnât the end of Ghostface.Â

Scream Queen Book 1: Conventional Final Girl

Before I knew it the party was coming to a slow and kids were leaving. It makes sense since itâs like 8:45. Parents have gotten strict with curfew considering all the stuff thatâs been going on. Sid and I were standing at the front doorway with Stu.Â
âTatum câmon!â Sid shouted, really wanting to leave now.Â
âNobody here but us chickens!â Someone shouted from the house, then they started kluckingâŠ?
âDo you know where she is?â I asked Stu.
Looking around he says, âI havenât seen her anywhere,â with a shrug.
Just as Sid and I were going to walk out Billy jumps in the door frame making some weird noise and scaring Sid in the process.Â
âOh, Billy hey,â She said with an uneasy expression.
âBilly, hmm what are you doing here?â Stu said looking in between the two and scratching his chin with his index finger.
...yeah, what is he doing here?
âWas hoping I could talk to Sid alone,â Billy said, looking at both Stu and I.Â
Sid couldnât see it because her back was facing me but I had a slight hurt expression on my face.Â
âYa know if Tatum sees you here, Sheâll draw blood,â I tell Billy in a very agitated and frustrated tone. I was ready to grab Sid and just leave without Tatum, sorry.Â
Before I could do anything Stu grabbed me by the waist locking my torso in when he said, âIâll tell you what, go up to my parentsâ room, yaâ know you guys can talk,â slamming his fist into his hand making my body move side to side a bit.
âOr whatever,â Stu says again, drawing the word out.
âStublty Stu, ya know you should look it up,â Billy said, shying his head away to the side.Â
Sid looks at me, unsure of what to do. I think about it for a second but I know how much they care for each other⊠obviously.Â
I smile to her and nod.Â
Looking back at Billy she said, âNo itâs okay, we do need to talk,â grabbing Billyâs hand and leading him upstairs.Â
Billy was about to punch Billy before he saw me. He put down his fist and gave a guilted look.Â
Stu let me go once Randy came into the room and asked, âWhatâs leatherface doing here?âÂ
Leatherface would never betray someone like that⊠rude.Â
âCame to make up,â Stu said in a tone that people usually use when they see a small puppy.Â
âThere goes my chance with Sid, dammit,â Randy said, stepping away from Stu and I.
âAs if,â Stu paused, âThatâs all Iâm saying, as if.âÂ
Looking over at me Randy gave a confused look.Â
Shutting the door I cleared, âHeâs saying you never had a chance, Randy.âÂ
I tuned out to whatever Randy said next, I just had the intention of catching up with Stu. âWhat the fuck Stu?â I asked, tugging on his robe that looked just like the last one. âWhat?â He asked, feigning innocence like he didnât know what I meant. âWhy would you and Billy do what you did hours ago then just switch up like that?â I asked, hurt but discrete about what Iâm saying. You never know who might be listening. âLook we talked and he just decided not to,â Stu said with a shrug and that ridiculous stupid grin that makes me want to punch. Wouldnât be the first time. âJust decided not to? After five months, really Stu?â I asked as I teared up, crossed my arms, and hung my head low. Stu hugged me and motioned to other people a drinking signal with his hands and then pointed down at me. âLook (y/n), I wasnât supposed to tell you this but the truth is...Billy just wanted to use you to get closer to Sid. I on the other hand am still free for the taking,â Stu said as he crouched down to my level and held me by my upper arms. âNo youâre not, you still have a girlfriend,â I laughed a little as I wiped the tears from my eyes. I looked to the side, I didnât really want to make eye contact with a liar right now. Stu shook his head and said, âNah Tatum and I were talking in the garage and broke up,â as he waved his wrist. âI still donât know Stu⊠I mean you two just broke up, if anything we should wait-â I was cut off from my sentence when Stu straightened up and hoisted me up, pushing me against the wall before kissing me. Kids around us were cheering, whether it was for us or the girl who just got slashed on the screen, I wasnât sure. At least I think it was the screen? I just heard distant screaming, it totally couldâve been two other teenagers who were âtalkingâ upstairs. âStu what the fuck?â I asked as he placed me back down. âWhat I thought thatâs what you wanted?â He asked, putting his hands up in a âI surrenderâ sort of way. âYeah but not like thisâŠâ I said as I crossed my arms. Stu grabbed one of my arms and twirled me around. âLook, Iâm single, youâre single, so letâs just mingle.â He chimed into my ear. I pushed him lightly as I rolled my eyes and gave a soft smile.Â
Stu and I made up, now weâre sitting on the couch with a group of people watching Halloween, one of my favorites and one of the iconics.
âWait wait, here it comes!â A kid said at the scene of Bob opening the closet to reveal Michael.Â
Woes and âno waysâ could be heard from the group as they jumped back.Â
âAwe man the color of the blood is all wrong! Why did they do that, itâs too red?â some kid shouted.Â
âThey probably just used food dye and squibs like almost every other movie,â I mumbled as I sat uncomfortably on Stuâs lap. Â
âWait, here comes another!â Randy said as he placed his fist on a kidâs knee.Â
âOohsâ and a loud âYes!â could be heard from the group.Â
âPredictable, I knew he was gonna buy it.â A kid said from behind the couch.
âHow can you watch this shit over and over?â Another one said.Â
I was going to say something but Stu blurted out, âI wanna see breasts, I wanna see Jamie Leeâs breasts. When do we see Jamie Leeâs breasts?!â as he held out his hand.Â
I just rolled my eyes.Â
âBreasts? Not until Trading Places in 83, Jamie Lee was always-â
I interrupted by saying, âSheâs the final girl, youâre not going to see that stuff from the heroine of the movie.âÂ
Randy furrowed his eyebrows at me before saying, âThatâs why she always outsmarted the killer when they chased her, only virgins can do that, donât you know the rules?âÂ
âWhat rules?â Stu asked.Â
âOh no, here he goesâŠâ I groaned as I threw my head back.Â
âYou-â Randy paused the tv, âJesus christ, you donât know the rules?â He asked as he stood up and grabbed his beer.Â
âHave an aneurysm, why dontcha?â Stu said as he looked up at the soon to be babbling buffoon.Â
âThere are certain RULES that one must abide by to successfully survive a horror movie. For instance, number one; you can never have sex!â Randy zipped his arm to the right.Â
An uproar of booing came from the âaudienceâ of Randyâs lecture. I just sunk lower into Stuâs lap.Â
âHey, no, big no no!â Randy shouted as everyone threw popcorn at him.
Stu said something I didnât quite understand then stuck his tongue out, how the fuck is it so long?Â
âSex scenes yeah, okay rule number two; you can never drink or do drugs!â Randy stated as he pointed outward with an âokâ symbol hand.Â
Everyone clinked their beer glasses together while I, once again, sunk lower into Stuâs lap.
That was before Stu patted my leg, signaling me to get up. So I did.Â
A kid clicked bottles with Randy as he said, âItâs a sin, itâs an extension of number one. And number three; never, ever, under any circumstances say âIâll be right backâ cause you wonât be back.â
âGetting another beer, you want one?â Stu asks Randy as he stands up straight.
âYeah, sure,â Randy says as he waves off Stu.Â
Stu screamed out, âIâll be right back!â Leaving the room with kids screeching and ooing,Â
âSee you push the laws and you end up dead,â said Randy as he held out his beer, âOkay Iâll see you in the kitchen with a knife.â
After Stu came back with the beers everyone let out some sighs of relief and we continued watching the movie. âWere you scared?â Stu whispers in my ear. âHuh? Of what?â I asked, turning a little so I could still see the tv screen. âFor me, were you scared I wouldnât come back alive?â Stu joked as he poked my side. âYeah I was definitely scared. I was ready to start crying and hunt down your killer like the sorority girls in Black Christmas,â I whispered before letting out a small laugh.
It felt like minutes before Stu was walking people out of the house. I posted up on the kitchen counter just sitting and eating snacks. I decided Iâve watched enough horror for the night, which is so weird even for me to say. I think I couldn't take anymore of the kidsâ screaming and shouting every time something small happened. Stu came in briefly earlier to give me a kiss on the cheek as he went to get more beers. I was eating popcorn before I heard Randy say, âListen up, they found Principal Himbry dead. He was gutted and hung from the goal post on the football field.â Thatâs enough popcorn for one night⊠A bunch of kids ran out the front door and were hitting the walls.Â

Scream Queen Book 1: Conventional Final Girl
Chapter 6
Chapter 5 / Chapter 7
P.S. lmk if y'all would like to be added to the tag list <3
I had pulled up one of the large lounging chairs to the front porch where I now sat with Tatum and Sindey. The girls were sitting on the railing talking to each other while I was reading a book. A book more specifically about a girl who is madly in love with a serial killer so much so that she ignores the possible signs and because of it he kills her claiming it will make their love immortal. Yeah not a very happy ending, just like most of life.Â
Sid told us about what she said to Gale this morning. How Sidney resolved my little...accident and about how she wasnât sure that Weary was actually her motherâs killer.Â
âWhat if Cotton Weary is telling the truth? Maybe he was having an affair with your mom?â Tatum asked as she twirled her hair in her fingers. âI mean your dadâs always out of town on business, maybe...your mom was just a very unhappy woman.â Tatum finished with the start of her eyebrows pointed up.Â
âIf-if they were having an affair then how come Cotton couldnât prove it in court?â Sid said, as if she just created the worldâs first unsolvable puzzle
âWell. You canât prove a rumor, that's why⊠it's a rumor,â Tatum responded as she swished her head side to side.Â
âRight, created by that little tabloid twit, Gale Weathers,â Sid said, seeming to choke on the name.
âIt goes further back Sid...thereâs been talk about other men,â Tatum fidgeted with her hands.
âHey, Iâm going to leave you two alone out here. It sounds like Iâm intruding so Iâll be inside. Just shout if you need anything!â I said, hugging my sister and giving Tatum a light peck on the cheek. When I got to the door I looked around a little bit, it felt like someone was staring holes into my head. Once inside I go upstairs to put my book back on the shelf. When I open my door Iâm startled by the two tall figures known as Billy and Stu. âWhat the fuck are you guys doing here?!â I said as I slammed the door shut. âChill out babe, we just wanted to stop by su casa to see how our fin-â Billy discreetly nudged Stu, âfavorite girl was!â Rolling my eyes at the two idiots in front of me I asked, âWhy didnât you just use the front door?â Stu walked up to me and snaked his arms around me while Billy laid half way on my bed. âWe wanted it to be a surprise,â he whispered, hot breath fanning my ear. âYeah because Iâm sure Sid and Tatum will be so pleased by this surprise,â I said, unlatching Stuâs hands from my waist. Billy sat up, pulling me to him by my hips, âWhy wouldnât they? Weâve been in your room plenty of times.â I removed his hands from my body, putting them on his lap. I walked over to my desk chair. âYeah when Sid and Tatum actually knew about it!â I shouted just above a whisper to the two boys. They completely ignored me as Billy went right back to laying on my bed and Stu turned on my stereo. My cassette copy of some Michael Dulin songs playing through the speakers. Stu grabbed me by the wrist hoisting me out of the chair as we swayed to the music. I forgot about every horrendous detail of the past few days. âIf Iâm being honest, when Iâm with the two of you I feel like nothing bad can happen in the world,â I say as I look up at Stu as we spin in circles. He has that same goofy grin on his face. All of a sudden just like earlier today he hoists me over his shoulder and marches over to my bed flopping both of us down next to Billy. âDo you really feel that way, (y/n)?â Billy asks, looking over at my meek form. âYeah of course, why wouldnât I?â I asked looking back at him. âYouâre the one that was like âOh but Tatum and Sidâ, remember?â Stu said, mocking my words. Propping myself up on my elbows I look down at the boy laying on my stomach, âStu I just said I feel happy when Iâm with you two, not I want you to rail the fuck out of me?!â I got a little defensive. âJeez okay, chill out girl.â He says as he wraps his arms around me. âIt could be arranged,â Billy said, still looking at me. âHmm?â I said, turning to him. âThe whole⊠railing you thing,â Billy said with a smirk. My face contorted into a shape I never knew possible, âEw Billy fuck off, I already said no!â He was practically about to topple over laughing at how bright red my face was when we heard a knock. âOh shit,â I whispered. I rushed both Stu and Billy out the window as I shouted, âOne moment!âÂ
Coming to the door I adjusted my clothes and combed out my hair, âHey whatâs up?â âTatum and I were wondering if you were hungry?â Sid asked, peeking her head through the door like she was searching for something. âHmm, need something?â I asked. âHuh, oh no, well did you have people up here?â She asked, eyes still darting around. âNo, I was just listening to some music,â I shrug trying to seem as collected as possible. â...Okay just let us know if you need anything, Weâre going to head out in a bit.â Sid said as she closed the door. I went straight for my window sill seeing the boys standing by the truck looking up at me. I waved down to them and they waved back before driving off.Â
As we drove down Main Street it wasnât very hard to notice that practically nobody was around.Â
Stepping out of the car Dewey said, âSure is quiet.âÂ
âYeah, look at this place, itâs like the Town that Dreaded Sunset,â Sid spoke in astonishment about our own town.Â
âMhm, weâve got the hooded killer and all,â I said, stepping to her side.Â
âYeah, saw that movie, itâs about a killer in Texas huh?â Dewey asked messing with whatever heâs holding
âHey girls just think, if they make a movie about you two, whoâs gonna play youâŠâ Tatum asked with a chime in her voice.Â
âUgh I shudder to think,â Sid says as she places her hand to her forehead.Â
âI see you as a young Meg Ryan myself.â Dewey said with a squinting smile, hiding from whatâs about to be none of the sunâs glare.Â
âOooh (y/n) itâd totally be (___ ___) for you,â Tatum said as she spun me around.Â
âHmm, lesser known but great in her field, ya know I actually like that,â I said as I put my hand to my chin and wore a silly smile, âWho knows maybe Leonardo will play one of the boys?â
âWith my luck theyâd cast me as Tori Spelling,â Sid said before walking off to the market.Â
âAhh Iâm just gonnaâ be a few minutes,â Dewey calls out to us but we didnât really care to listen.Â
Once we rounded the grocery store corner Sid asked, âIs Billy going to be there?â
âHe better not be, I told Stu to keep his mouth shut.â Tatum said as she strutted down the concrete ground, âI think we can live without the endorphin rush for one night.âÂ
âI donât think itâd be so bad,â I grumbled to myself.Â
I pushed the cart down the back aisle as Tatum and Sid threw bags of junk food and soda into the basket.Â
âBillyâs right you know, whenever he touches me, I just canât relax,â Sid said as she looked at the drinks.Â
âSo you have a few intimacy issues as a result of your motherâs untimely death, itâs no big deal Sid,â Tatum shrugs, âYouâll thaw out.â
âYeah but heâs been so patient with me, ya know with all the sex stuff? How many guys would put up with a girlfriend whoâs sexually anorexic?â Sid asks as she tosses some ice cream into the cart.
âBilly and his penis donât deserve you,â Tatum said as we walked on⊠I really wish I didnât hear any of this.
As we pulled up to Stuâs house, which I can never get over the size of, Dewey told us to have fun but âNot too much fun or Iâll bust ya,â yeah sure. We got out of the car, music from the house was louder than anything Iâve ever heard. A lot more people were there than Stu had promised...intimate gathering my ass.Â
âCatererâs here!â Tatum announced to the entire house as she waved around the food we bought.Â
Everyone whooped and hollered out in a cheering response.Â
âWow thatâs so mature,â I said as we entered the kitchen where Stu and a couple other boys were drinking beer out of a funnel.Â
âHey just trying to get the party switch started,â Stu said as the kid to his right finished.
âMy man,â Stu congratulated the greasy looking rat as they did, what looked to me like, the handshake from Predator.Â
The girls and I put the food out on the island moving some bottles in the process. I accidentally ran into Stu spilling some of the beer. âAh shit man,â Stu exclaimed as he pulled on his shirt and stupid Hugh Hefner robe. âIâm so sorry about that, here,â I said as I handed him a towel on the counter. âNah thatâs covered in beer, Imma just throw on something else,â Stu says as he walks out of the room. I throw my head back and place my hand over my eyes. âHey (y/n), donât even worry about it, he has like a million of those ridiculous robes,â Tatum says as she leaned over the counter. Crossing my arms I look over at her and say, âI know but I still feel bad, I donât want to ruin his mood.â Tatum laughed a little and rolled her eyes. âItâs not going to ruin his mood, (y/n). This is Stu weâre talking about,â Said Sid as she grabbed a bowl from the cabinet. âYeah youâre right, hey Iâll be right back,â I said as I left the kitchen.Â
When I come back to the kitchen I notice the girls are gone. As Iâm wondering where they might be I hear a loud â(y/n), over here!â for Tatum. Turning around and peeking down the hall I noticed her, Sid, and Stu on the couch. There were a lot of people surrounding them and Randy standing in front of the tv console holding two vhs tapes. âI saved you a seat,â Said Sid as she looked up at me, patting the empty space to her right. âThanks sis,â I responded as I flopped down next to her. âWhat ya got there?â I looked down at her lap. âJust some movies that Randy tossed at me,â She said with a shrug.Â
âHow many Evil Dead?!â Randy shouted to the group around us. A bunch of kids hollered as they raised their hands.Â
âHow many Hellraiser?!â Randy shouted again, more kids repeated the actions from the last.Â
Stu incoherently said something but Tatumâs response of, âStop!â as she batted his finger away.Â
âThe Fog, Terror Train, Prom NightâŠâ I mumbled as Sid went through the movies.Â
âHow come Jamie Lee Curtis is in all of these movies?â She asked, looking down at the pile with me.Â
Randy knelt down beside us, âBecause sheâs the⊠Scream Queen.â he said as he put his hands together in a prayer formation.Â
âAh yes a Scream Queen, a woman who has filmed a repetition of horror movies keeping her in the frightening spotlight. A lot like a Screen Queen but scary,â I stated to my step sister.Â
âWith a set of lungs like that she should be,â Stu said grinning from ear to ear as he as he played with Tatumâs hands.Â
A small but stupid, âYeahâ was heard fro Randy.
âTits, see?â Tatum said as she leaned against Stu.Â
The doorbell rang repeatedly causing Stu to jump out of his spot and say, âOh Iâll get it!â as he hopped over the back of the couch.Â
Or tried to at least.
He tripped and fell right onto the floor but popped up to ask Tatum to, âGrab another beer, would ya?âÂ
âWhat am I? The beer wench?â Tatum asked as she flicked her wrist out.Â
âApparently so, my good friend, or should I say wench?â I said looking at Tatum earning me a roll of her eyes, click of her tongue and shove on the shoulder.Â
Tuning into Sid and Randyâs conversation I can hear Randy say, â...Nominated,â Sid nodded and said âYeah,â with a giggle.Â
Randy went on to say, âShe was nominatedâŠâ Blah blah blah, it was too loud to understand.Â
Just as I was really getting comfy Stu came into the room and shouted, âYouâre not going to believe whoâs here! Itâs that chick from Top Story!âÂ
âGale Weathers!?â Randy asked.
Meanwhile Tatum, Sid, and I turned to Stu in disbelief. âShit,â Tatum said before she stood up.Â
I could hear Deweyâs voice in the background⊠oh noÂ
âDewey,â Tatum said as she gestured him over with her index finger, âOh Dewey.âÂ
âWhat is she doing here?â Tate asked once her brother was finally in the room.Â
âSheâs with me,â Dewey said, looking like a kid who just got free ice cream, âJust checking things out,âÂ
I watched as Sid stood up, âWhere are you going?â I asked...and was ignored.
âSo you did, now leave,â Tatum peered over at Gale, âand take your media stuff with you.â
Kids were complimenting Gale left and right but all I could think of is how I wanted to punch her again...square in the nose.
I watched as Sid and Dewey talked, looking to my left I noticed that Tatum was gone. Mustâve gone to get those beers?

Scream Queen Book 1: Conventional Final Girl
Chapter 5
Chapter 4 / Chapter 6
P.S. lmk if y'all would like to be added to the tag list
âSidney Prescott and (y/n) (l/n) both escaped a vicious attack last night but one of them is the daughter of Maurine Prescott, who was brutally murdered last year when convicted killer Cotton Weary broke into their home and savagely raped and tortured the deceased. Cotton Weary is currently awaiting an appeal for the death sentence, handed down after the young Sidney testified against himâŠâ The reporter just went on and on through the tv screen. Tatum was rubbing Sidâs arm as a sign of everything will be okay. I held Sidâs hand to signify the same message, gently squeezing it so she knows sheâs not alone. âItâs never going to stop is it?â She asked with a small chuckle.Â
As Dewey sat across from us he notified, âBilly was released.â
Sidneyâs face faltered once she heard this, I think sheâs still afraid of it all. I on the other hand slouched back with a wave of relief.Â
âHis celular bill was clean, he didnât make those calls,â Dewey said as he sat back in the chair, âWeâre checking every celular account in the county. Any calls made to you two or Casey Becker are being cross referenced, itâs going to take some time but weâll find 'em.âÂ
I squeezed Sidâs hand again and Tatum lightly punched her arm. âOkay,â was all Sid could really say right now.Â
âWeâve got this, Sis.â I said to her with a small smile.Â
I guess pulling up to school in a patrol car was cool? Kind of gave a real âBack offâ vibe when we stepped on the school grounds. âDonât worry girls, itâs school. Youâll be safe here.â Dewey reassured us...but if thereâs a possibility that the killer is another student, is it really all that safe? Reporters swarmed us once Sid and I were completely out of the car. One woman going as far as asking, âSo how does it feel to be almost brutally butchered?â Seriously what thee fuck? Sid and Tatum walked ahead of me right as I was ready to hook it to another reporter like I did to Gale. Sadly enough though I was stopped by two pairs of arms holding me back while my legs went swinging.
âLet me at âem!â I exclaimed to my mystery captors.Â
âNot a chance little Nancy Thompson,â I could hear Randyâs voice from my left.Â
âYeah these reporters are worse than any Freddy Kruger!â And then there was Stuâs cackle from the right.Â
âFine screw it, I just donât want to see anymore of them haggling Sid again.â I said as I slightly jumped out at the flock of reporters.Â
âUh, where did Sid go anywaysâ I asked the two boys as I spun around. Finally seeing her talking to Weathers I tried to beeline but Stu held me back.Â
âDude, (y/n) slow your roll. Sydâs just talking to her,â Stu said as he secured me against his chest. I did my best to hide the red embarrassment all over my face.Â
âYeah probably fixing the mess you made last night,â Randy said as he rolled my eyes.Â
His words struck something in me, I just calmed down and stopped fight Stuâs hold, if anything I was holding myself now.Â
Stu punched Randy in the arm before said, âWay to go man.âÂ
âWha- I-â Randy was about to pick his own fight with Stu again.Â
I beat them to it when I turned around still in Stuâs grasp and said, âNo heâs right, what I did last night was reckless and now Sidney is the one who has to clean it up.â I leaned my head on Stuâs chest.Â
âCâmon (y/n), it wasnât that bad?â Randy backpedaled on his words to try and make me feel better but lets face it, when you punch someone on national tv⊠itâs pretty bad.Â
At our lockers we waited around for the bell to ring. âThis is a mistake, we shouldn't be here,â Sid said as she gathered her books. Iâm honestly with her on that, itâs a total scare fest in the halls today. âI want you to meet me right here after class, okay Sid?â Tatum addressed my step sister but left me out of the question. Peaking my head over my locker door I arched an eyebrow. âIâll walk you out of class (y/n),â Stu pipped in before looking at himself in a mirror. âYeah okay Chicken Stew,â I rolled my eyes, trying not to laugh at my own pun. I thought Stu wouldâve laughed but before he could Sid said, âHey I havenât really seen Billy around, is he really pissed?â What the fuck Sidney? I thought. âOh after you branded him the Candyman? No, his heartâs broken!â Stu exclaimed, earning a punch from Tatum. He said âowâ as Tatum said his name in a stern frustrated manner.Â
Someone came running down the hall in whatâs now been dubbed the âGhostfaceâ costume as they screamed bloody murder while jumping out at people. I let out a squeal before grabbing hold of Stuâs tan and white over shirt. Feeling heat rise up to my face I quickly let go and lightly brushed out my hair to compose myself. Stu turned around and pinched my cheeks, âAwe is (y/n) scewed of da big bad boo-gy man?â I swatted his hands away while saying, âGiven recent events, yeah obviously.â Shuffling past Stu and over to Sid I notice his expression change for a split second for playful to envious. âCome on (y/n), you punched Gale Weathers on live news, I think youâll be fine if you get yelled at by a kid in a costume,â Tatum said as she playfully rolled her eyes with a smirk. I couldnât take it anymore, whether it was the embarrassment, the fear, the secrets, or the regret. I just couldnât. I ran off from the group as both Tatum and Sid shouted after me.Â
As I ran down the hall I bumped into another figure.Â
âShit!â I exclaimed as I pushed off of them.Â
âHey itâs just me,â I heard an all too familiar voice say to me.
 âOh-oh⊠Billy,â I said as I backed away.Â
Waving his index finger between us he asked, âYou still think itâs me?âÂ
I reassure him I donât by saying, âNo, I donât I was just shocked to see you.â As I fiddled with my shirt.Â
âI swear itâs not me (y/n),â Billy said stepping forward.Â
Looking up at him I said, âI know Billy, there was still someone in the house that night though. So can you please-â I cut myself off seeing the lack of inches in the space between Billy and I.Â
âI know, I know, the cops say I scared him away. It wasnât me (y/n).â He said as he looked down at me a little.Â
âI know, he called us again when we were at TatumâsâŠâÂ
âSee! Couldnât have been me, I was in jail,â Billy said as he turned over his hands to reveal inky fingerprints. âRemember?âÂ
âIâm sorry, but please understand,â I started as I looked up.Â
âUnderstand what? My girlfriend and her little step sister would rather accuse me of being a psychopathic killer than touch me?â Billy looked back down at me, I could smell the spearmint gum roll off his breath.Â
âYou know thatâs not trueâŠâ I said as I knitted my eyebrows together and grabbed a hold of his arm.Â
âThen what is it?â He asked, hurt and confusion heard in his voice.
âBilly, Sid and I were attacked and nearly filleted last night?!â I asked, slightly appalled heâd even ask as if it werenât clear.Â
âI mean between usâŠâ Billy said as his eyes stared down into my soul with an intensity Iâve never seen before.Â
âWhat do you mean between us?â I asked at this point very confused as I let go of him and take a step back.Â
âIsn't it obvious (y/n)? For the past five months, the smirks, the glances, the nudging, the little notes, Stu and I being practically all over you?â Billy said as he used his free hand that wasnât on the banister to wave around.Â
âNo it wasnât obvious! I mean Stu I knew about but you?! Billy, youâre my sisterâs boyfriend!â I exclaimed, getting justifiably annoyed and upset.Â
âNot anymore, she practically broke up with me the night at the station!â He raised his voice, making me flinch a little, he mustâve noticed since he let his body relax a little.Â
âLook Billy Iâve had a crush on you and Stu for months but I know for sure this isnât the way to go about things. Sidney didnât say she broke up with you and Iâm not going to just be a rebound to make her jealous.â I said resting my hand above his on the banister.Â
Billy scoffed before saying, â(y/n), be real here Sid doesnât want to see me anymore and like I said, the past five monthsâŠâ Billy let his words trail off as he came closer to me, placing his hand on my forearm. Just like at the lockers my head was racing and everything felt so wrong, I just couldnât take it. I just stepped away, shaking my head while I walked off letting Billy shout my name.Â
Turning around to look at him I said, âIâm sorry if me having good morality for my sisterâs relationship is an inconvenience to you and your perfect existence!â I exclaimed before turning back round.Â
âWhat? What do yo- Nobody said that, (y/n)!â Billy shouted after me but it just faded out as I ran away.Â
Stomping my way into the bathroom I make my way over to one of the sinks, I dig in my backpack for an aspirin or something.Â
âThey were never attacked, I think they made it all up,â I heard one of the bathroom stalls say.Â
âWhy would they lie about that?â A girl in another stall asked
âFor attention, the girl and her sister have some serious issues!â The first girl replies.Â
Part of me wanted to hide in the bathroom stall like the sad girls in the movies always did but then I remembered, this is life. In life you just gotta roll with the punches, so Iâm doing just that, except this time I might punch back. Right when the two walk out of the stalls their faces dropped. Yeah I assumed seeing the face of one of your gossip subjects will do that to ya. I kept staring at them as they washed their hands, too scared to even look in my general direction. As they walked out I did that stupid petty way where you swish your fingers up and down. Finally I can cry in peace, I thought as I walked into an empty stall. Deciding that the short few seconds Iâve been in here were enough for me to feel refreshed I walk out, my eyes red and puffy while my lashes stick together.Â
âPathetic,â I said into the mirror. I always thought I held myself to a higher standard than this, not really with the crying thing. More so with the Stu and Billy thingâŠÂ
I donât have time to think about it much when I hear a strange noise in the restroom. Getting low to the ground I check underneath all the stalls. Empty. Looking around I notice a loud vent in the wall, that mustâve been it. As I go back to shuffling around my bag I couldâve sworn I heard someone whisper my name. Maybe itâs better to ignore it? Slowly and carefully I get back down low to check again. This time Iâm met with a pair of beat up leather work boots dropping down from the stall. âOh shit,â I whispered to myself.Â
The stall door unlatches quickly and I try to make a run for it but Iâm caught by the Ghostface.Â
Thrashing around as he holds back my arms I asked, âAlright real funny, who is it? Stu, Rand, Billy? If this is some sort of pay back then it wonât work!â The man behind the mask said nothing, but he violently jerked my face to the bathroom mirror. âWhat?â I ask, my face clearly showing malevolence towards whoever it is pulling the prank. That was until he pulled out an eight-inch long hunting knife. He slowly and lightly dragged the knife along my torso, from the collar of my cropped shirt all the way down to the button of my low rise jeans, applying extra pressure near my zipper. âYaâ know if I wasnât so skeptical about you trying to kill me right now we could probably take this in a very different direction,â I said as a more matter-of-factly sentence. Iâm not sure if this shocked the masked murderer or gave him a change of heart but his grip loosen and I BOOKED IT! I slammed the bathroom door open passing by a couple of teachers but I really just wanted to get the hell out of here.Â
After calming down a little bit I got outside of the school just quick enough to hear Principal Himbry say, âAttention now kids, due to the recent events that have occurred effective immediately, all classes are suspended until further notice,â Holy shit, âThe Woodsboro police department has issued a citywide curfew beginning at nine oâclock tonight.â The whooping and hollering cheers that were so loud just a second ago died down into monotone boos. At least weâre out of school?Â
âIt was just some sick fuck having a laugh, sue me.â Tatum said as she rolled her eyes at me.Â
âNo, it was him Tatum I know it. Or else he wouldnât have had a huge ass hunting knife!â I exclaimed in a huff.Â
âOkay well, you're not to be alone anymore. If you pee, we all pee. Is that clear?â Asked Tatum
Sid and I looked each other up and now simultaneously say, âEw, please no.â
Spooking up from behind us was Stu as he blabbered nonsensical words that most likely wouldâve made sense if we were paying attention.Â
âI donât know what you did girls,â He said handing each of us flowers, âbut on behalf of the entire student body we all say THANK YOU!â Stu shouted full force from his lungs.
âStop it Stu,â Tatum said as she hit him with the little purple flower.Â
I was so distracted by the two that I didnât notice Stu change targets and come barreling towards me, hoisting me over his shoulder.Â
âStu! Oh my god asshole! Iâd like to be returned to the security of my feet on the ground!â I shout at I hit his back with my palms.Â
In the midst of my one sided battle Stu announces, âTo celebrate this impromptu fall break, I propose we have a party. Tonight at my house!âÂ
Looking over to my right I see my step sisterâs face contort into an emotion of unease, âAre your sure?âÂ
âYeah as long as this little vixen doesnât invite the entire world!â Stu exclaims as he motions to his girlfriend who is currently keeping me company by swinging my free hand.Â
Stu goes on by saying, âIntimate gather, intimate friends,â whilst poking my thigh right below my ass. He should be glad Tatum didnât see that one.Â
âWhat do you say Sid? I mean pathos could have itâs perks?â Tatum piped up just as Stu let me down. Now Tatum and I have switched spots beside Stu.Â
âCould totally protect you, yo Iâm so buff, I got you covered bro!â Stu does a macho man impersonation as he twirls around Tatum.Â
I fall a little back from the group, wondering if Billy will be there⊠he most likely will, wonât he?Â
âI mean c'mon Sid? (Y/n), you with me? It could be fun.â Tatum says as she turns to us both.Â
While the girls were focused on each other Stu looked over at me and snapped me out of my thoughts, literally. The loud noise made me look up.Â
âHuh?â I asked, looking at the trio in front of me.Â
âThe party (y/n), you in?â Tatum asked as Stu kissed her neck
âYeah fine, whatever. Iâm in,â I said as I walked up in front of them.Â
âNiiice,â Stu growled out, âCool, you guys bring food, alright?âÂ
I don't know what it was but Stu did something which prompted me to shout, âYouâre being weird Stu!âÂ

Crimson Peak by far is one of my favorite romantic horror films- one of my goals in writing is to create a novel with the same ambiance and emotion of this film.
It's a world of everything dying and eating each other right beneath our feet. CRIMSON PEAK (2015) dir. Guillermo del Toro

Scream Queen Book 1: Conventional Final Girl
Chapter 4
Chapter 3 / Chapter 5
Stu Macher x Reader x Billy Loomis
âDid you find them?â Sid asked, referring to mom and Neil who were supposed to have arrived at the expo today, like they told us.Â
âAre you sure it was the Hilton?â Dewey asked, looking between us two.Â
âMhm,â She said and we both nodded to him.Â
âTheyâre not registered there.â Dewey looked at us sympathetically, âCould they have stayed somewhere else?âÂ
âI donât know, I guess.â Sid said as she rubbed her head for the millionth time. I pulled her hand away from her face and held it in mine.Â
âDonât worry girls, weâll find them, okay?â Dewey reassured us as he put his hand on Sidâs knee.Â
An officer walked by placing a paper on Dewey;s desk and saying something about the mask. Dewey said heâll âBe right backâ as he pushed in his chair and walked off. â(Y/n), what if they canât find (m/n) and dad?â Sid asked in a sad and quiet tone with little sniffles. Smiling up at her the best I could right now I said, âHey, just like Dewey said, theyâll find them Sid. I bet mom and Neil are okay wherever they are.â Pushing her hair back from her face she responded, âWouldnât he want us to know that though?â At this point I just looked away. I didnât know what to tell her. Right when I turned my head is when I made direct eye contact with Billy, a chill ran down my spine and all over my arms. He was pleading to me with a silent voice. âHey tell em, Sidney, come one, (y/n), tell em!â Billy finally shouted as they led him out of the room. Sid refused to look and see but me? I had a clear view of his pleas for help, part of me felt bad. Right when Billy was dragged out Tatum walked in and right to us. She rushed right to Sidâs side holding her close saying, âOh Sid, Iâm gonna getcha out of here. Okay?â Nodding in response, Sid just sniffled and cried a little.Â
Watching these two in front of me made me realise just how much of a family we really⊠arenât. I mean the way Sidney might view it yeah for sure, we talk to each other and spend time together but when it comes down to it theyâll leave me in the background while they huddle to protect her. If this were a horror movie I know I wouldnât be the final girl, Sidney would. I was pulled out of my thoughts when I overheard Dewey and Sheriff Burke. Theyâre talking about how itâs hard to track the buyer for the costume and they wonât be able to access the phone account until tomorrow. I couldnât hear anymore after Tatum just groaned, âUgh come on,â as she stood by Sid. Iâm really hoping it wasnât Billy, I care about him a lot even if he can be a little⊠menacing at times. He does his best for Sid and thatâs all that matters.
âHey Dewey, can we go now?â Tatum asked her older brother, impatience written all over her face.Â
âHold on a second,â He said, pointing his forefinger up in our direction.Â
âWhat did mom tell ya? When I wear this badge you treat me like a man of the law,â Dewey basically whined out to Tatum.Â
âIâm sorry deputy Dewey boy but weâre ready to go!â Tatum shouted in a huff as she gathered her things, âNow, okay?!âÂ
âUh take âem out the back way, avoid that circus.â Burke said as he patted Deweyâs back and pointed towards the back door.Â
The whole station was laughing at Dewey and Tatumâs bickering as we rushed for the doors.Â
âThere she is, Sydney!â Oh well I guess the Devil will always seek you out when you least expect it. âHi, some night, what happened, are you alright?â Gale asked, shoving the microphone in Sidâs face.Â
âSheâs not answering any questions alright? Just leave us alone,â Tatum said in a tired-of-this-shit tone.Â
âNo no, Tatum itâs okay sheâs just doing her job, right Gale?â Sid smiled and lightly pushed Tatum back towards me.Â
Judging by her voice, Sidney is about to throw down.Â
âYes that right,â Gale nodded, still shoving the microphone in Sidâs face.Â
âSo howâs the book?â Sid asked, a sarcastic and scorch sound to her voice.Â
âWell, itâll be out later this year.âÂ
âOh, Iâll look for it.â Sid said, he voice cracking for the tears and sobs trying to escape.Â
I whispered over to Tatum, âGrab Sid. Now.â Tatum did exactly as I said.Â
Just in time too since Gale said, âIâll send you a copy!âÂ
Sid went to turn around and punch her but Tatum held her back with all her strength. This allowed me to take her place and land a clean right hook to Galeâs left cheek pushing her back and down into her camera man. Words could be heard from all the people behind her but I wasnât listening.Â
Dewey ran up to us and escorted Tatum, Sid, and I to his patrol car.Â
âWhereâd you learn to punch like that?â Dewey asked as he held onto my arm.Â
âMom was a boxer before she got with Neil,â I said as I slammed the car door.Â
â(Y/n) why did you do that?â Sidney asked me, looking in confusion.Â
âWhat, you think Iâm going to risk my sister facing legal action in the middle of this shit show? Iâd rather land in the slammer than you Sid,â I said as I placed my head on her shoulder.Â
âSee Tatum why canât you be like that?â Dewey whined from the front seat.Â
âBecause youâre my big brother Dewey youâre supposed to defend me!â And so the sibling bickery ensued once again.Â
Once we made it to Tatumâs we got dressed in our pajamas and just lounged around Tatumâs room. I guess my clothes werenât up-to-par with the latest fashion because right when I walked in I earned an âughâ from Tatum. âWhat?â I asked, crossing my arms over my chest and leaning on the doorway with a goofy grin. âWell one, you always wear those ridiculous shirts, and two, change whatever youâre doing.â Standing up straight I tug down at my shirt, it was just a Pet Sematary shirt, I guess I do wear a lot of horror stuff. âI get why you donât like the shirt but whatâs wrong with what I was doing?â I asked in a genuinely confused tone. Tatum got up to cup my face and squeeze it. âYouâve been spending too much time with Billy and Stu, we need to re-acclimate you to society.â She said and she pouted her lip, feigning pity for my accidental new traits. While Tatum was shuffling through her drawers I looked over at Sid. I mouthed, âArenât you going to do something?â Sid shrugged and mouthed back, âWhat am I supposed to do?â I tossed my arms up in the arm and mouthed, âAnything.â
Tatum then threw something purple and soft right at my face. âThere, go put those on then come back so I can braid your hair!â Tatum excitedly squealed. âWeâre going to take cute pictures so hurry!â She shouted down the hall. Rushing to the bathroom I turned on the light, releasing a breath I held in⊠Iâm just a little scared after tonight, I donât know whatâs lurking in the dark places anymore. I examined the set of small shorts and a smooth satin sleeping hirt. I quickly threw them on before heading back to Tatumâs room. When I came back I heard Tatum laughing.Â
âGod I loved it! Iâll send you a copy, BAM, bitch went down!â Tatum imitated the event. Punching her stuffed rabbit.Â
Moving to sit up she again said, âIâll send you a copy, bam! (Y/n), super bitch!â Tatum exclaimed shoving her arms out to the side. âShe is so cool.âÂ
I moved over to her vanity, careful not to make any noise because I wanted to bask in the fame.Â
Dewey walked in saying, âThought (y/n) might want some ice for that right hookâ Just had to run it Dewey.Â
âOver here Dewey,â I said as I sat at the end closest to the door.Â
Dewey tossed me the greenish ice pouch before I said, âThanks.âÂ
âIâll be right next door, try to get some sleep.â Dewey said as Tatum waved him off.Â
I hopped onto the same bed as Tatum, I wanted to give Sid her space since sheâs going through a lot right now.Â
Turning to me Tatum asked, âDo you really think Billy did it?âÂ
My heart was telling me to say no but all that came out of my mouth was, âHe was there TatumâŠâÂ
âHe was destined to have a flaw, I knew he was too perfect.â Tatum said as she bobbed her head.Â
Hearing the phone ring in the other room just gave me instant chills, so did the knock at Tatumâs door right after.Â
âTelephone honey,â Tateâs mom walked in.
âWho is it?â Tatum asked as we turned to look at Mrs. Riley.Â
âItâs for the girls,â She said, making Sid turn her entire body.Â
âIs it my dad?â Her question was eager with hope in her voice.Â
âI donât think so,â Tatumâs mom said as she gave a sympathetic smile.Â
Sid turned back over, having no interest in the matter anymore.Â
âTake a message,â Tatum said, leaning back against the headboard.Â
Getting up I said, âNo itâs okay, Iâll answer it.â It might be something important, even if it isnât our parents.Â
As I walked out I could hear the pitter-patter of Sidâs sock covered footsteps follow me to the phone.Â
âHello?â I asked, crossing my fear arm over my chest.Â
âHello, (y/n).â Oh no, the voice was obviously the ghost masked man from just hours ago. His words were drawn out just hoping for a reaction.Â
I gave him exactly what he wanted, âNo! Stop, stop this now!â I wailed out.
Sidney came to my side, along with Tatum and her family.Â
âPoor Sidneyâs Billy boyfriend, that guy doesnât stand a chance with her.â This Ghostface said in mock gossip as if he were one of the girls.Â
âLeave me and my sister alone! You Jack Torrance sounding creep!â I exclaimed, shaking from the pure rage and fear that swam through my body.Â
âLooks like your sister fingered the wrong guy, again!â The masked murderer snarled on the other side of the line.Â
âWhat are you talking about? Who are you?â I asked in complete confusion by his words. Tatum and Sidney were begging me to hang up the phone.Â
âDonât worry, youâll find out soon enough, I promise.â He said before letting his line go dead.Â
âWhat?!â Dewey exclaimed as he rushed out to us a little too late. We were already walking back to the roomÂ
I couldnât sleep for the entire night, neither could Sid and Tatum. We tried keeping our minds off of things by doing light hearted girly stuff like braiding each other's hair, painting our nails, taking cute pictures with Tatumâs instant camera. I just wasnât ready to leave the warm security of our friendâs home tomorrow morning.Â

Scream Queen Book 1: Conventional Final Girl
Chapter 3
Chapter 2 / Chapter 4
Stu Macher x Reader x Billy Loomis
Once we got off the bus a few people said bye to Sid and I. âCan you check the mail?â Sid asked, I can see why she wouldnât want to. âMhm,â I said as she walked ahead. It was as empty as Michael Myersâ soul. I instantly zipped upstairs and to the bathroom, âCalling dibs on the shower!â Nothing followed, wow not even a small âWhatever!â.Â
Once I was out I pulled my hair up into the towel and wrapped another one around me before heading to my room. Maybe I was just a bit too paranoid after today but I thought I heard something coming from the living room. âHello?â I asked, no answer. âGod if this were a horror movie I would be so deadâŠâ I trailed my words just like I trailed the weird noise, quickly snatching up a vase from the hallway. I crept down the stairs and to the living room when I heard a crash. I jumped out ready to hit the culprit! Only to find Sidney picking up the phone. âWhat the hell are you doing?!â She exclaimed, obviously shocked to see her usually collected sister wielding a vase above her head. âI thought you were the killer!â I shouted, trying to keep the laughter of this humiliating moment at bay. Both Sid and I busted out laughing before she said, âIâm going to call Tatum now, why donât you go get dressed and make some snacks?â Of course I was going to do what she said, she was doing me a favor for many things.Â
In the kitchen I still felt a little uneasy, like someone was just lurking around the corner ready to stab me from behind. âIâve been watching too many horror moviesâŠâ Then I stopped to think for a minute. âWell actually the last movie I watched was Psycho with Stu and Billy when they invited Sid and I.â I know Iâm just talking to myself as I make peanut butter sandwiches but who doesnât? âYaâ know honestly if I couldâve I probably wouldâve kissed Stu, right in the scene where Norman is cleaning the hotel room but heâs completely oblivious to the newspaper carrying all the money. Much like Stu is completely oblivious on how to go about things correctlyâŠâÂ
My little monologue mustâve sucked me in a little too much considering I didnât hear Sid laughing on the couch. âOh my god, donât do that! You scared me!â I shouted in total shock just holding up the kitchen knife, bread crust crumbs still covering the blade. âAre you all packed for tonight?â She asked me as she put her things together. âUh good question,â I said as I put down the plate of PB&Jâs on the coffee table. Sidney turned on the tv and started skimming through the channels as I ran up the stairs. Every channel she landed on was talking about the murders.Â
Coming back down the stairs I ran to the living room where Sid placed her things, not even noticing her in the other room until I went down the hallway. âHey Sid-â Oh, sheâs asleep, seems like she just fell asleep too. I quickly grabbed a blanket for her and laid it over her as she snored a little. I take this time to go to the living room and catch up on some sleep of my own. The past few nights have just been feeling weird and off so Iâve been staying up late.
When a loud ringing from the other room blairs through the house I jolted up, ready for action! That was until Sid picked up the phone.Â
âHello?â She groggily asked.
âWho is it?â I whispered as I peaked out from the wall.Â
Completely ignoring me, Sid takes hold of the small clock on the side table and says, âItâs past seven.âÂ
âUgh oh thatâs comforting,â She said to the person on the other line. At this point Iâm pretty sure itâs Tatum.Â
I sit down on the couch swinging Sidâs legs onto my lap.Â
âWhatever, just hurry, okay?â Sid said, stifling a laugh before hitting the end call button and placing the phone back on itâs base.
I looked over to her and asked, âSo what was that about?â
âHmm? Oh i-â Before she could even get a real word out the phone rang again.Â
When Sid picks up the phone she immediately says, âTatum just get in the car-â
Now that Iâm closer to her I can hear the other line and that definitely doesnât sound like Tatum.Â
âHello Sindey,â A familiar oddly pitched raspy voice called to her. This made me roll my eyes, the boys again.Â
âUh hi, who is this?â She asked, moving her legs and sitting upright.Â
âYou tell me,â He says in a nonchalant tone.Â
âWell I have no idea?â Sid said, her voice starting to quake a little. Iâm tempted to just take the phone from her and yell at the person on the other end.Â
âScary night isnât it? With the murders and all itâs like right out of a horror movie,â His words slither out, creepy and cold like ice.Â
Sidneyâs expression lightened as she said, âRandy you gave yourself away, are you calling from work cause Tatumâs on her way over.â
Walking around her I go turn on the lamp when I hear, âDo you even like scary movies, Sidney?â Thatâs the worst question to ask Sid of all people.Â
âI like that thing youâre doing with your voice Randy, itâs sexy.â Sid says, her own voice going a little deeper.Â
Now this made me laugh a little, âRandy and the word sexy in the same sentence, now thatâs weird,â I said just above a whisper.Â
âWhatâs your favorite scary movie?â He asked, this made me roll my eyes since he asked me the same question last night.
âOh come on Randy, you know I donât watch that shit.â She said, fidgeting around in her stance now.Â
I myself felt offended and shot her a look, this made her throw up her one free hand.Â
âOh why not, too scared?â âRandyâ asked.Â
âNo no, itâs just- whatâs the point, theyâre all the same,â She said as she threw her arm outward, âJust some stupid killer stalking some big breasted girl who canât act. Whose running up the stairs when she should be running out the front door, itâs insulting.âÂ
Theyâre not all like that, I think to myselfÂ
âAre you alone in the house?â âRandyâsâ question made me stand up straight and look over at Sid.Â
âRandy thatâs so unoriginal, Iâm disappointed in you,â She said looking over at me as she faced the window at the back of the couch.Â
âMaybe thatâs because Iâm not Randy.â He said, I could feel my heart beat pick up⊠this is getting a little too close for comfort.Â
Sid gets up from the couch placing her hand on her hip and asks, âSo who are you?â
âThe question isnât who am I, the question is where am I?â The caller said, okay now this isnât good.Â
Snatching the phone out of Sidâs hands I aggressively asked, âSo where are you?âÂ
âYour front porch,â The caller said as if he were still talking to the same person.Â
Staying in the same spot but keeping an eye on Sidney who was no doubt going to the porch I asked, âWhy would you be calling from our front porch?âÂ
âThatâs the original part,â he says.Â
âOh yeah? Nice fucking try.â I said as Sidney opened the door, âCalling your bluff.âÂ
âSo where are you?â I asked, feeling the wind from the cold night already telling me Sid was outside.Â
âRight here.â The caller said, startled, I spin around only to be met with empty space.Â
Walking to the porch myself I asked the caller, âCan you see Sidney right now?âÂ
âUh-huh,â he says in confirmation.Â
âWhat is she doing then? Hmm? Tell me,â I said. If it werenât such a serious situation I wouldâve gotten the camera at the sight of Sidney picking her nose.Â
âHELLOOOâ My big sister called out.Â
âNice try Randy, tell Tatum to hurry up. Bye nowâ I chimed to the other line with a giggle escaping my throat. Sid linked arms with me.
âIf you hang up on me youâll die, just like Sidneyâs mother!â The caller shouts, loud enough for Sidney to hear right next to me.Â
We both freeze in our tracks equally scared and appalled by the words that just left his mouth.Â
âDo you want to die, (y/n) , her mother sure didnât?â They asked me. Sidâs grip on my arm tightened.Â
âFuck you, you creep!â I ragefully whispered into the phone. I rushed both Sidney and I into the house before locking the door. That wasnât enough though since the supposed caller jumped out of our closet. Sid and I ducked but not before he landed a blow on her. Not on my sister you donât! I hit him on the back of the head but this caused him to turn around and shove me back, making me hit my head and everything started getting dizzy. The killer was on top of Sidney before she kicked him off. As fast as she could she grabbed me as I was trying to open the door, not realising it was latched.Â
Running up the stairs with the killer on our tail Sid flung me into her room first before she did the same to herself and closed her door. The great thing about Sidneyâs room is that her bedroom door and closet door were right next to each other so if the closet door was open the bedroom door couldn't. The killer did his best by swinging his arm trying to attack Sidney and I. Doing the smartest thing I could right now I picked up the phone and dialed 911 while Sid failed at shutting her window. To no avail though, the phone line was dead. Sid pushed me aside and went to her computer inputting the numbers 9-1-1. Then it stopped, the killer was gone.Â
A loud thud at Sidneyâs window sill startled us before we realized who it was. âBilly!â Sid exclaimed, relieved to see her boyfriend. I just stood there with my guard still up..
âThe door was locked, I heard screaming, You alright?â He asked Sid as he looked over at me.Â
âThe killerâs here, heâs in the house.â She said as she hugged Billy tight, sobs just releasing from her mouth left and right.Â
âHeâs gone, heâs gone.â Billy cooed into her ear as she hugged him. The expression on his face gave me goosebumps.Â
All was fine until Billy dropped something⊠a small black compact cell phone. Oh shit.Â
In a mad frenzy I rush towards Sidney tearing her away from Billyâs grasp and run out of the room with her hand in mine.Â
âWait, Sid, no! Wait wait wait! (Y/n)!â We heard Billy shout as we reached the front door.Â
Sydney opens the front door in a hurried panic and weâre met with that same white ghostly mask again! We both shriek out in pure terror! And so does⊠Dewey. Nevermind the day is savedâŠ
It felt so surreal to be sitting here on the tail of the ambulance with Sid while Billy is getting forced into the back of a cop car. They just got done checking me and Sid for any bruises or contusions. Billy wailed for Sidney much like the car sirens wailed to alert danger. Walking up to us the sheriff said, âWell, weâre seeing a lot of you today.â Then Dewey spoke up asking, âYou girls going to be able to come down to the station and answer a few questions?âÂ
âOh shit, Sydney, (y/n)!â Tatumâs voice made me pop my head up. Happy to see a face we can comfortably trust.Â
âGod Iâm so sorry I showed up late,â Tatum continued, holding Sidâs hands and cupping my face.Â
âTatum you canât be here itâs an official crime scene.â Dewey said as he grabbed hold of his sister to escort her away.Â
âNo!â I shouted, everyone looked in my direction before Sid said, âItâs okay.âÂ
âTheir parents are out of town, alright? Theyâre staying with us tonight.â Tatum said as she scoffed at her older brother.Â
âDoes mom know?â Dewey asked, for what reason? Iâm not sure.Â
âYes dufus,â Tatum said, pretty sure she just wanted to get us out of there at this point.Â
I could see the Sheriff holding the costume the killer wore as Sid and I got into the back of the car. This has officially become the most terrifying night of my life. I grabbed onto Sidneyâs arm for comfort as she petted my hair on the way to the station. As we were about to pull away from our house a news van came rolling in. Out hopped none other than the devil herself, Gale Weathers. We could hear her call out for Sid as we drove away.Â

Scream Queen Book 1: Conventional Final Girl
Chapter 2
Chapter 1 / Chapter 3
Stu Macher x Reader x Billy Loomis
The last class of the day rolled around, for the most part it was bland until- â(y/n),â The teacher called out my name, waving a slip of paper in his hand. âHead office would like to see you.â I could hear students murmur and gossip about how it was my turn to be interrogated. Stu and Billy, they sat on either side of me, gave me both sympathetic but entertained stares like they were waiting for something. God, this whole thing was just so weird! I felt like there were eyes on me the entire time I was walking to the office, I felt queasy and uncomfortable just thinking about Caseyâs body. How it mustâve just hung there, swinging with her intestines on display for her parents to come out to...it's so gross! Itâs so frightening.Â
âYou wanted to see me?â I asked as I walked in, a little weirded out by the whole ordeal.Â
Standing by the door was Dewey and Sheriff Burke sat next to him while Principal Himdry stood at his desk.Â
âYes, Ms. (l/n) please come and sit.â The principal said, I did just that.Â
âWe just got done talking to your sister,â Dewey said, looking up from his notepad.Â
âGood to know,â I nodded, not really knowing what to say right now.Â
They asked me simple questions like âHow are you?â, âWhere were you last night?â, âHow are your parents?â, even âWere you close to Casey Becker?â Of course I told them the truth, I had no reason to lie. I just wanted to get back to class but on my way back the bell for the end of school rang. So instead I went to the fountain where everyone usually meets. Over the loudspeaker Principal Himbryâs voice could be heard trying to rush kids home, it definitely wasnât working. Everyone was already here so I just flopped down on the concrete ground in front of Tatum and her boyfriend.
âWhat questions did they ask you, Sid?â Tatum looked over to the girl in question as she braided strands of my hair with Stu.Â
âWell, they asked me if I knew Casey.â She responded as she sat between her boyfriendâs legs.Â
âHey they ask if you like to hunt?â Stu looked up from my hair and turned his view to the other couple.Â
âYeah they did, they ask you?â Billy returned the question, as he threw something into the fountain.Â
âWhy would they ask you if you like to hunt?â Tatum wondered, looking in between everyone.Â
Wasnât it obvious though?Â
âBecause their bodies were gutted.â Pipped up Randy, no doubt trying to scare Tatum. I nudged his leg, receiving an annoyed grunt from him in response.Â
That wasnât it.Â
âThank you, Randy.â Billy said even though he looked down at my face. I know who the non-sarcastic version of that thank you was for.Â
âThey didnât ask me if I like to hunt,â Tatum said, looking out into nothing in particular.Â
âThatâs because we live in a sexist patriarchal society,â I mumbled as I leaned back into Tatumâs legs. Letting Stu poke little flowers into my hair.
âWow real wise (y/n),â I could practically hear Randy roll his eyes.Â
âItâs cause thereâs no way a girl couldaâ killed them,â Stu said as he looked between his friends and girlfriend.Â
âLiterally, just proved my point Stu,â I groaned rolling my head over while Tatum kept playing with my hair.Â
âThatâs so sexist, the killer could easily be female, Basic Instinct.â Tatum retorted, trying to be on my side.Â
Before I could correct her Randy beat me to it, âThat was an ice pic, not exactly the same thingâ
âThereâs been loads of movies with female killers! I mean for starters Home for The Holidays or Girls Nite Out also known as The Scaremaker and-â Before I could finish I was cut off with a light kick.
âYeah yeah, anyways Casey and Steve were completely hollowed out.â Stu said, âThe fact, it takes a man to do something like that.âÂ
âOr a manâs mentality.â Tatum said, totally mocking Stuâs words. This made me giggle a bit earning another kick from Stu.Â
âHow do you gut someone?â Sid asked, her question obviously rhetorical and voice shaky. We all paused and looked over at her, I grabbed her hand and squeezed a bit. This time she squeezed back.Â
Stu obviously didnât understand or maybe he did but didnât care considering he said, âYou take the knife.â This made Billy perk up. âAnd you slit em from the groin to sternum.â Stu finished.Â
âHey, itâs called tact you fuckrag.â Billy said in a slightly rude and defensive tone. And here I thought he was going to stick up for my big sis.Â
âHey Stu, didnât you used to date Casey?â Sid asked, trying to make Stu as uncomfortable as she was.Â
This shocked Stu a little, though he was quickly back to his usual playful self.Â
âYeah for like two seconds,â He scoffed out with a slight smirk.Â
Popping his head into the conversation Randy said, âBefore she dumped you for Steve.â Oh no.Â
âI thought you dumped her for me?â Tatum asked a slightly confused and hurt expression forming on her face. I leaned my head on her knees all while still looking up at the couple.
âI did, heâs full of shit,â Stu said as he used his head to gesture to Randy.Â
âAnd are the police aware that you dated the victim?â Randy asked, obviously instigating something between him and Stu.Â
âOh no,â I groaned out.Â
âWhat are you saying? That I killed her?â Stu asked, eyebrows knitted together, obvious offense written on his face.Â
âIt would certainly improve your high school Q,â said Randy
Scooting up to Stuâs chest Tatum said, âStu was with me last night, okay?â
âYeah I was,â Stu said in an elongated tone, putting his arm around Tatum.Â
âI think Iâm going to be sick,â I rolled my eyes as I stood up and went to go sit next to Randy. While Tatum and Randy seemed to laugh a little at this, Stu seemed kind of hurt.Â
I arched a brow at him as if to ask why but it was totally ignored when Randy asked, âWas that before or after he sliced and diced!?âÂ
It was obvious that Sid was getting uncomfortable, both Billy and I could see it.Â
âFuck you nut-case, where were you last night?â Tatum asked as she leaned on Stu.Â
âWorking, thank you.â Randy chimed. Iâm pretty sure those were two seperate answers.Â
âOh at the video store? I thought they fired your sorry ass,â Tatum retorted
Before Randyâs stupid mouth could say anything more I spoke up, âThey did. Twice.âÂ
This earned a laugh from everyone except Sidney and Randy, I thought Sid would at least give a little giggle?Â
âI didnât kill anybody.â Stu said in a quiet now calm but still a little offended tone.Â
âNobody said you did,â Billy said, raising his expression at the word did. That is what I mean by shady.Â
âThanks buddy!â Stu said now back to his more regular sarcastic enthusiasm.Â
âBesides, it takes a man to do something like that,â Randy you stupid motherfucker. He made it quite clear that he was mocking Stu. The âperfectâ impression.Â
âYuh Iâm gonna gut your ass in a second kid!â Stu exclaimed back to Randy.Â
âTell me something, did you really put her liver in the mailbox? Cause I heard they found her liver in the mailbox!â Randyâs voice got more high pitched with every couple words. âNext to her spleen and her pancreas.âÂ
âRandy, you goon-fuck, Iâm trying to eat here!â Tatum said as she threw a grape at him?Â
At this point it was noticeable that Sidney felt like she was going to puke so she picked up her backpack and kissed Billy goodbye.Â
âYeah, Randy, Tatumâs getting mad. Better liver alone.â Stu said with the shitty timed pun and both of those piss-for-brains boys started chuckling.Â
âLiver alone!â Stu exclaimed out loud, letting his tongue drop out like some stupid hyeana.Â
It was obvious Billy was ready to punch him but I quickly beat him to it. âStop being a total jackass for once in your life Stu,â I said before jogging to catch up with my step sister.Â
âOw, liver, liver- it was a jokeâŠâ I could hear Stuâs playful goofy tone get a little disappointed as I walked by Sidâs side.Â
âStu can be a real ass sometimes,â I say as I lean my head on Sidneyâs shoulder. âTell me about it,â she said as we waited for the school bus. Doesnât he know when to shut up? Donât get me wrong, I enjoy how funny and care free he can be but only when itâs at the right times. That wasn't the right time. âDo you want to spend the night at Tatumâs tonight?â Sid asked, looking down at me the best she could. I continue looking at the street in front of us when I say, âYeah sure, but only if you ask.â Sid just shakes her head and smiles a little before saying, âWeâve all been hanging out together for six months, how come you still canât ask her these things?â I just shrug. âI just still feel a little nervous, like I donât know anyone still.â That wasnât the entire truth. The real reason was because Stu confessed to me a few nights ago and I⊠punched him because of it. I know stupid but I didnât know what to do! Like yeah I really like him too but heâs Tatumâs boyfriend! Sid nudges me to look up at her and I do so. âLook, (y/n), weâre family and so are our friends. You can feel free to ask them anything, besides you looked pretty close when Stu was putting flowers in your hair,â She said with a small smirk. âYeah and so was Tatum!â I exclaimed, receiving a âshut upâ down the street. âYouâre never going to fess up to it,â Sid said, this time leaning her head on my shoulder. âI have no idea what youâre talking about.â

Scream Queen Book 1: Conventional Final Girl
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Stu Macher x Reader x Billy Loomis
Okay so basically let's just cut to the chase, the main character "(y/n)" is Sidney Prescott's little stepsister, yeah? Well, what happens when she takes Sid's place as the final girl? A whole lot. Disclaimer: All rights reserved to the copy righted owners of the Scream franchise. The only creative input I had in this fan fiction was the part of (y/n), almost everything else can be found in the movie. Follows the movie very closely. I mean the actual movie, not the script. Obviously switching out some parts to fit the narrative. It takes a couple of chapters to really get it kicking but I promise it gets good. *NO SMUT* these are still high school students and I do not want to overtly sexualize KIDS! And if you make the argument of "I'm not a kid" I'm 18 been there, done that, don't try it.
"Hello, who is it?" I asked into the large telephone.Â
"No one in particular..." Sounds like another one of the boys' prank calls.
"Okay Mr. No one in particular, any reason for the call?"Â
"No reason in particular, just wanted to talk."Â
"Hmm okay then talk," I said as I swiveled around in my chair.
"What's your favorite scary movie?" The raspy but oddly pitched voice asked.Â
"Oh I've got plenty but you might want to sit down, it'll take a while."Â
"I've got time."Â
"Ya know, stuff like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw. Then there's creature features like The Thing. B-horror like Slumber Part Massacre or Sleepaway Camp." I finally finish my rambling when I hear my step sister and her boyfriend in the other room.Â
"Do you really like scary movies?"Â
"Oh yeah definitely but I think it's mainly because of my step sister's friends?"Â
"Oh yeah?"Â
"Yeah, I mean I always liked horror but they really got me into it. Especially our friends Randy, Billy and Stu, they're crazy about that stuff!" I said as I flopped down onto my bed.Â
"What's a pretty girl like you doing with all those guys?"Â
"They're not a lot of guys, if anything it equals out our group," I said, completely avoiding the whole 'pretty girl' thing... that was kind of weird.Â
Hearing a knock at my door completely startled me.Â
"Oh um hey I have to go but feel free to call me back anytime," I whisper into the phone quickly placing it back on the body.Â
It was obvious the person on the line was saying something before I hung up but I didn't bother to listenÂ
In popped Neil's head from the other side of the door. "Hey kiddo who ya talking to?" He said as he looked around. "Hm? Oh no one, what's up Neil?" I asked, now back in my desk chair. Neil was a good guy, I'm glad he and my mom started dating, they actually just got engaged! I think I was more excited about it than my step sister, Sindey, she's still grieving. "Just got done talking to your sister, I'm going to hit the sack, remember I'm not back until sunday. Cash on the table and call if you need anything," He said waiting for me to say something. "Alright got it Neil, have fun at the expo!" I waved him off before he closed the door.Â
My mom and I didn't move to Woodsoro until she really started dating Neil. It's always just been her and I for as long as I can remember, but it feels good to be part of a complete family again. I missed our old home at first with all my friends and family but Sid quickly took me under her wing. I met all of her friends including Stu, Tatum, Randy and Sid's boyfriend Billy. I'll admit it was weird at first because they just saw me as the little step sister but once Randy and I went on a ranting debate about which was the real pioneer of Slasher; Texas Chainsaw or Black Christmas, it got a lot easier. Even though Stu and Billy were pretty cute I'll never be used to Stu's wild energy, nor Billy's slightly shady behavior.
The next morning didn't go quite as expected... There were reporters, cameras, and news vans posted up all around school. Sid and I were freaked the moment we got off the bus. She was looking around bewildered by everything going on until we spotted one woman in particular, Gale Weathers. To say the least, Weathers was a total bitch towards Sid's mom's name.Â
"Can you believe this shit?!" We heard a voice pop up from behind us. Sid totally jumped.Â
"Tatum, what is going on?" Sidney asks, waving her arm out to the school.Â
"Yeah, since when was Woodsboro flooded with reporters?" I looked over at Tatum, crossing my arms over my chest.Â
"You don't know?" Tatum asked both of us, a hint of amusement on her face.
"No," Sid and I said in unison, still confused.Â
"Casey Becker and Steve Orth were killed last night," She said with a harsh but light tone just above a whisper.Â
"What?! No way!" Sid softly exclaimed.Â
I was too shocked to say a single word so I just listened.Â
"And we're not just talking killed, we're talking splatter movie killed. Ripped open, from end to end," Tatum talked about it with entertaining ease, like it was just gossip.Â
I think I'm going to be sick.Â
"Casey Becker, she sits next to me in English," Sid said looking over at her best friend.Â
I think you mean sat, Sid. I thought.Â
"Not anymore," Said Tatum with a wobble of her head.Â
She went on saying, "It's so sad, her mom and dad found her hanging from a tree. Her insides on the outside." Shoving her hands near her stomach.Â
"Oh my god," Sid said as she reached for the back of her neck, probably to feel the goosebumps that appeared.Â
"Do they know who did it?" I finally asked, feeling the urge to know.Â
The two looked over at me with Tatum saying, "Fucking clueless, I mean they're interogating the entire school? Teacher, students, janitors."Â
"They think someone at school did it?" Sid asked
"They don't know, I mean Dewy was saying this is the worst crime he's seen in years. Even worse than-" Tatum paused when I nudged her side, "Well, it's bad." She finished.Â
The bell signaling the start of the first period rang.
"C'mon Sid, we gotta get to class..." I said as I lightly grabbed her hand, giving it a slight reassuring squeeze.Â
"Yeah, alright..." She responded, removing her hand from mine. She's just going through a lot right now.Â
Sitting through the first period is weird when you have a seat that was right behind a dead person. Not Casey Becker but Steve Orth. He'd ask me for a pencil or notes every day because he forgot his. Claimed it was because of football practice. Soon enough the five minute bell for next class rang. A class that didn't have any dead students.
Walking to my locker to rotate my books I was blocked by none other than Stu Macher.Â
"Hey, (y/n)," He drawled out my name with a big smile, "Whatcha up to?"Â
"Getting my books Stu, same thing you should be doing."Â
"C'mon, you're not still upset with me, are you?" He asked with a fake poutÂ
"Yeah actually I am Stu!" I shouted in a whisperÂ
"I couldn't help myself, I mean look at you?" He said as he squished my face.Â
Swatting his hand away I said, "That's no excuse!"Â
"You can be such a prude," he said as he leaned his head on my locker.Â
"No, it's called being a good friend with a balanced moral compass that can see when her friend's boyfriend is about to cheat with her." I huffed as I slammed my locker door.Â
"C'mon, (y/n)! You can't stay pissed forever! You'll come around eventually!" Stu shouted after me.Â
"Like hell I will!" I shouted back. No matter how abundantly clear my feelings for him are, I would never do that behind Tatum's back.

Hi! I used to be on Tumblr a while back, but I just deleted it- at this point I don't even remember why. I mostly used my account to post my fanfics that I also posted on Wattpad- which I still have for some reason? Anyways, I'm going to start doing that again and I'll be making a masterlist using the hashtag #opossumZmasterlist
