This is a DnD character I made for another campaign. He’s a high elf warlock named Melchor. His first picture is my redesign from this month and the second picture is from when I originally drew him last year.

Almost everyday I look at my art and look at the growth. I still shock myself but I’m so proud.

I think what’ve really noticed in my growth: is that I know what lines I want to use; how I use my shadows and methods to achieve them; my actually drawing style and how I use layers. I’ve really struggled with establishing my own style but now I think I’m so much closer to solidifying it✨

I made this initially to compare features between Jeongguk and I because I was really curious. Then I got carried away with how we looked in colour, the outfits, our style, trying a new style of drawing, and and and and and. So I eventually ended up with a digital piece I’m really proud of.

Please be aware I wasn’t comparing features like “oh I’ve got a better nose but your Cupid’s bow is bomb”. It was more of an anatomy study thing because I was busy with an assignment for my course in animation, and using references and being aware of certain features being prominent in different races and ethnicities. I had no intention to make fun of and insult features, I just decided to compare the features of my bias and myself as an example. You can see I got carried away and decided to make it a whole artwork, I got so carried away to the point my background was influenced by a mash up of Your Name and 5 Centimeters per Second. Not gonna lie most of my backgrounds are naturally influenced by them unless I aim to do otherwise 💀💀.

I really like the atmospheric vibes and the way the sky looks⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
