I love Arthur Morgan. I love the way he is when he's alone, when he's fishing and he talks to the fish ("you, sir, are a fish"), and how he talks to his horse, how big he smiles when he wins a hand of poker or blackjack, how he treats strangers, how he sings to himself when he's drunk, how he talks to himself in general when he's out and about and experiencing the world. He is an interesting, funny, complicated character and I love him with my whole heart.

you are not a wasteland you just need ibuprofen and a hot bath and a shower and a nutritious meal and some water and some fresh air and to do something productive and to do something creative and to do something that takes physical exertion and to do something social

hearing a song you really like on the radio just hits different than streaming it. same with catching a movie you really like on cable just as it's starting. streaming services will never be able to capture this very specific kind of simple joy

To add onto this, I’ve always wondered if Hamish was set up to be an image of what Arthur’s life could have been, to be the man Arthur might have become, an example of sorts. Another person who could have been Arthur’s fate had he never become a criminal might be Albert Mason?

I just don’t believe that their initials being the same was an accident, or the fact that get along so well. They both have an interest for animals and nature, though they differ in their approach.

I just feel like there are some characters Arthur meets in his journey that show him the many ways he could have lived his life if things were different.

The most obvious one being the debt he has to collect from the very man who shares his name, Arthur Londonderry.

This might be a popular thought but I always like to think that if Arthur lived, if everything went right, he would live his life like Hamish did. I can picture him living far out in a nice cabin, spending his days fishing and hunting and riding his loyal horse. I just love how well they got along when they were both alive. I love it.
