strahm is so compelling to me because he’s still a hero while being such a bad person in so many ways that people you just meet in your day to day life are bad people. he is not a serial killer he’s not ontologically evil he doesn’t scam dying people out of their life savings. but he is an asshole for no reason other than to make others feel stupid he’s misogynistic he’s motivated by neurotic obsession and ego he’s dismissive etc etc but he’s still so human and we as the audience get to see him reduced down to base human terror and smallness multiple times!! we get to see the construction and performance of his personality get stripped away to expose someone who’s just a man desperate to survive in spite of his circumstances and that makes the viewer want to root for him!! like regardless of his motivations and day-to-day cruelty he’s just a man who wants to survive and to protect others!! and then he dies whimpering without learning ANYTHING!!!!!

Q: What is Sawtober?

A: Sawtober is an event to celebrate the SAW community! During this week, everyone is welcome to make content about saw. Most commonly this is fanart or fanfiction.

Q: How can I participate?

A: However you like! Follow this blog/join our Discord to be notified when content is created. Write a fic, even if you've never written before. Post your doodles. Comment on works in our AO3 collection. Reblog your favorite fanarts. Make something for one prompt, or all of them! It's totally and completely up to you!

Q: How do I add my work to the AO3 Collection?

A: The collection is unmoderated and open! When posting your fic (or after clicking "Edit") under "Post to Collections/Challenges" Search for "SAWTOBER 2024 (SAWTOBER2024)" and it should show up.

Q: I made some content. Now what?

A: That's excellent! You have some options of how you want to notify the event host (@6sp1ral6 hi) that you have a complete work finished. Any one of these work!

John’s complaint about Adam’s life before the bathroom was that he didn’t have anything to live for, which to be fair, was his own fault. But what John had failed to understand was that when he gave Adam a purpose in life, he wanted to die twice as much as before.

No because Lawrence and Adam will forever drive me insane. Like, all romantic possibilities aside… did Lawrence actually care at all? Did he think about Adam while he was being nursed back to health by John?? Did he ask John to free Adam? Does the guilt haunt him, knowing he lost and still made it out while Adam won and died?? When he went back to that bathroom and saw Adam’s corpse did he feel anything??? Or was that expression on his face when he looked at the hacksaw selfish, just thinking about all HE lost? Did he tenderly remove the shackle from Adam’s rotting ankle and wish he’d gotten to do so when the flesh was alive, or did he pop it off without much thought? Was he lying to Adam when he promised to bring back help?? If so, was it malicious or just an effort to comfort him in what Lawrence thought might’ve been both of their final moments? Did he mean to kill Adam when he shot him??? I NEED ANSWERS.
