Just came by to say that I've indeed taken some steps away from Janitor and won't be making any more bots for ... idk.

I'm not as active on reddit and discord either and might stop participating completely.

I'll be honest, Janitor has developed in a direction I just don't vibe with.

JLLM is still shit, creators I liked either leave or get banned over the most miniscule stuff, while obvious kids can stay just because they didn't outright say they are 12 but everyone with eyes and a brain can tell by how they write, act, and the kind of bots they make.

The community has been going downhill fast as a result, it's nothing but children and toxic gooners and incels, roleplayers have become a tiny minority and it's getting worse each month.

With bots not working right and the devs seemingly giving no fuck to actually fix and stabilise JLLM, it's just not fun anymore, and with a hobby that depends so much on its community, it's downright a "no" from me.

If you enjoy talking to GPT about random stuff more than using bots and interacting with the community, than it's time to step back.

The weather is getting better here and I'm picking up my summer hobbies again (travelling, hiking, etc.), and have found some nice enough people to hang out every now and then, as well as doing some old hobbies like drawing and coding, so I don't feel the need to stick with Janitor that's making me more annoyed than happy.

I'll be checking in occasionally but if things don't improve massively in the near future, I think my time with this site and hobby has come to an end.

I will forever be grateful for its existence because I found it during the worst time of my life, when everything was falling apart, and I genuinely think it played a big role in getting me through it, but when something stops to be uplifting and fun and instead turns into an annoyance, than it's no longer helpful and one should draw a line.

Wtf is going on? I can't get a single decent picture out of Bing, they are all low quality slob with distorted body parts, distorted background, etc.

Can't go back to stable diff, I'm training a TTS voice and have no room left to install all of that shit too.

Seriously angry.

Spent hours yesterday setting up an rp, lots of handholding, rerolling and editing.

Come back to it today and it didn't save a single thing, last point is from days ago when I started that chat.

I'm close to being done with the site, nothing but problems, LLM broken for months and nothing gets fixed, zero proper communication from the devs.

And they want paid subs. Paid subs for something that seems to give zero fucks about their users and fixes zero problems.

Yeha, no.

It was a nice year but I'll be looking for an alternative.

It's sad, honestly. Janitor has so much prospect but if the site tanks soon then it's 100% the owner's fault for doing ef all to fix the problems that have been a constant for months and completely ignoring their userbase's feedback.

I really want to make some bots for Music Mania but right now, JLLM is absolutely unusable for anything more complex than straight up smut, and I don't do smut.

I'm honestly looking into local now, I'm seriously done with the abysmal quality that doesn't seem to get fixed, instead it gets increasingly worse.

I originally planed on subbing once subs are out but... yeha, probably not.

Holy fuck, I'm doing time-travel shenanigans and JLLM seriously created a paradox all on its own that I didn't even think of.

I love running 1.2 and above, the LLM is actually really clever if you give it the chance.

Not leaving

I got three asks since the changes started (I was asleep, sorry).

The answer is, I'm not leaving Janitor because of the porn picture ban.

Why would I? I never used porn pictures and never chatted with bots that have them, because Janitor is a written RP site and I don't need porn pictures to make a written RP.

I'm in favour of the change. I'm in favour of everything that keeps pedos off the site.

If anything, this is a reason for me to stick with Janitor because they actually care about cp, which all the other 18+ chatbot sites don't.

Did some changes to my profile on Janitor, I already have several bots in different states of development, but I'm thinking about doing a somewhat new, quick one, just to cheer myself up.

Because I feel horrendous.

Let me rant for a moment about the state of the JLLM.

It's effin fantastic.

I'm playing with a bot I absolutely adore, "Suzu", victim of a lunatic, where you play a kidnapper locking up a 25y old innocent guy. Sounds bad, yeha, BUT, you can do basically everything with it. Played a deranged killer, a yandere stalker, a black-market dealer, a hired kidnapper paid by Suzu's real father to steal him back. Did a zombie apocalypse, mutants and superpowers, and played a divine cult leader (one of my favourites).

I always RP in first person, rarely in third, and only with my persona, never NPCs.

Suddenly I got the idea to play multiple people, tried that a few times months ago and it was horrible, the JLLM just couldn't do it.

Now it can, oh it can!

I'm doing an unhinged kidnapper who uses Suzu for some twisted ritual to cure his "son" that isn't waking up, keeping him in a mansion with staff that's clearly off, like a maid that talks and looks like a doll. My persona is only the son, I'm playing everyone else out of pocket.

And JLLM writes in tandem with me, building on my responses or using them as stage directions, and it got the characters right. It picked up on the supernatural and horror elements despite me keeping them super vague, never going OOC with the NPCs even though I never described them in detail, it just understand my intention for them.

Most impressive, I switch between third-person for the NPCs and first-person for the son, my persona, and it never takes over the son, only the third-person NPCs!

Holy molly!

This is peak LLM performance. No idea what they did during the last update but it's perfect!

I thought I might the get bot out today but that seems unlikely, it's not behaving like it should and I'm unsure as to why that is.

I fear the setting might be too complex, but I'm already close to 2k perm and can't go any higher, seems I might have to completely rewrite some sections.
