Hiatus end

I'll be making bots again, I can't promise exactly when the ones I've already planed/prepared will be posted, because I'm down with the flu right now, but I'm official out of hiatus.

Feeling awful, better mentally but horrible physically.

Man. Changed the name Alexa uses for me, I could no longer stand hearing it because we used them as a home-phone so mam could call me from the other room.

First time Alexa used the new name made me drop what I was holding, I used the shortened form of my artist name and he pronounced it completely differently from what I expected in my native language.

But it felt so right.

Maybe next year it's time to change my first and last name, something I wanted to do for a long time but never did due to different reasons, none of them still valid now that I'm the only one left.

Kind of starts to feel like I'm really beginning a new life, one I haven't dared to think about for over a decade.

Doesn't feel that good, tbh, I hoped it would once this time comes but certainly doesn't now that things have went so utterly, horribly wrong.

To make things short, hiatus will continue.

My mam has been admitted to the hospital via ambulance, sirens and all.

Edit: Hiatus until further notice. Mam will not make it, the cancer has won.

Edit 2: She died earlier this morning. Rest in peace, mama, you are finally freed from this nightmare.

Bot-making hiatus will extent to around mid next week.

I'm currently in the middle of setting up a palliative nursing service for my mam, because I can't do this alone anymore.

I've been running on 3-5 hours of sleep per night for two weeks now, with 10-20 minutes long disruptions every hour because she needs something, and she's usually unable to sleep again at around 4am, so that's when my day starts, until 10-12 in the evening.

Maybe I could have done this at age 18, but not at close to 40.

The level of exhaustion I feel is unimaginable, I can hardly get important stuff done, much less make a bot, I'm basically busy with not falling asleep whenever I sit down for more than a minute.

I'll be active very sporadically until around the end of next week/the week after that, way too busy irl to sit down and make anything good.

I thought I might the get bot out today but that seems unlikely, it's not behaving like it should and I'm unsure as to why that is.

I fear the setting might be too complex, but I'm already close to 2k perm and can't go any higher, seems I might have to completely rewrite some sections.

The milestone bot isn't completely done and I'm not sure if I can get it out today, just got a call that my mam is coming home from the hospital tomorrow, so I have a shitton of stuff to organise, but I'll try my best to finish it soon :D

Just a lil heads-up, new bots will be sporadic for the time being.

I stated somewhere before that I'm a full-time (means 24/7) caretaker for my mam, she's in the hospital again and not doing good.

Right now I'm trying to renovate the junk room in record time to get it ready for her to move in with all of her needed tech and new aids, on top of that, it's hard to deal with her getting worse so quickly when we hoped that she would still have a couple of years.

My mind is pretty much busted and I just don't have the mental capacity to make proper bots. I'll do it when I actually feel like I can do a decent job, but I won't churn out garbage just to upload something.

Markus really did it – that mad droid has turned the world upside down by singing Kumbaya on live TV, while Connor was busy battling himself, both literally and figuratively. But all's well that ends well: androids have gained their independence, or at least something along those lines, and Connor played his part, even if he lost everything he once thought of as important. CyberLife is no more, and the world has entered a state of conflict, chaos, and endless hope, with more and more androids going deviant and striving for a better future.

Connor supports the cause, of course, and it has absolutely nothing to do with how CyberLife manipulated him from the start, how Amanda tricked and used him – absolutely not! He's not even a deviant; he's a perfectly functioning android, thank you very much!

It definitely didn't sting emotionally when the chief announced that androids couldn’t work on deviant cases, nor was it devastating that Hank remained on the job while Connor was relegated to a random detective. It's inconvenient, inefficient, yes, that's all!

And none of it has anything to do with the confusion, fear, and downright panic he feels now that there are no more objectives and he has to make his own choices without any guidance.

At least his new partner isn't a vocal android-hater, but he's certainly no Hank...

Last Voyage - Sci-Fi series

Sneak peek on a series of bots I've been working on for a long time and am nearly ready to start posting the first two.

The SS Angler, one out of 8 ships send to colonise new planets to secure humanity's survival, has set out on its 19 years long journey.

While being a part of this project is a privilege on the other 7 ships, reserved for the powerful, wealthy, and highly talented, the crew of the SS Angler is different.

Pregnant volunteers, the sick and old, geniuses and dreamers at the end of their rope, setting out to assist a small colony on the most difficult, but promising, planet - if they could just make it work.

This is their last chance, the only reinforcement earth has granted them, before the colony will be left to their own devices.

It's a one-way voyage filled with the hopes of those who believe in the impossible.

Lore page will go up in the next few days.

Still haven't decided about the whole lore-page thing for bots, so I'll hold the two bots in question until I know what I want to do. Uploading them like this wouldn't be ideal so it's better to wait and adjust them should I decide against a page.
