A Day at the Park With Refugee Children

“We spent the morning with refugee children playing with them in the park. We had the opportunity to see the type of day care the children were in and be able to take them out of that basement very full room to a local park. There they were able to run around, play on the jungle gym and various toys. It was a great experience giving back to them in a way where not only did they get to have fun but as a volunteer, we had fun as well. Spending time outside and seeing the smile on the children’s faces made the day feel filled with accomplishment even before lunchtime.

My first experience volunteering with OneDay was amazing; it was also a unique experience working with refugee children. The stigma that going into South Tel Aviv where many of the refugee families live is not a safe area. They say south Tel Aviv is filled with poverty and crime. This experience working with the refugee children showed us an area of south Tel Aviv where it looked like a normal city, and the children are just like every other child you would meet. Take them outside to a park and they will run around and just have fun.” - Sasha

“OneDay to me is a volunteering organization that encourages people to come help the specific cause not only because it is important, but because the volunteers will enjoy the task at hand. Renovations for an Elderly Woman

תרגום עברית למטה: Our volunteers are the ones motivating us this week! Over a span of three days, scores of volunteers came to an elderly woman's house to help renovate it. Lots of paint, plaster and laughs were used to help transform this house into a home! Thanks to everyone who participated, we can't wait to see you at the next event. כמה גאווה המתנדבים שלנו גורמים לנו להרגיש, זה פשוט מחמם את הלב! במשך שלושה ימים המתנדבים האדירים שלנו שיפצו דירה של אישה נזקקת, דירה שהייתה זקוקה לשיפוץ רציני ואכן, אחרי שלושה ימים של עבודה קשה סוף כל סוף אפשר לקרוא לדירה הזאת הבית. וכל זה רק בזכות המסירות והרצינות של המתנדבים שלנו. תודה ענקית לכל מי שלקח חלק בשיפוץ, מחכים לראות אתכם באירוע הבא!

Food Packing In Beer Sheva

Combining forces with OneDay Beer Sheva, they packed food products for needy families in the area. Thanks to the soldiers for making the event great! אתמול, מדריכות תקשוב מבסיס צאלים לקחו הפסקה מסדר יומם העמוס בלתרום למדינה דרך הצבא ומצאו זמן לתרום בעוד דרך לקהילה. בשילוב כוחות עם "יום אחד" סניף באר שבע הן ארזו חבילות מזון למשפחות נזקקות מהאזור. תודה לחיילות שעשו את ההתנדבות

Gardening for the Kids!

Last Friday, twenty volunteers participated in a community garden clean-up event in a local Tel Aviv neighborhood. This garden is used to helped educate young children about nature, wildlife, and biology. It was OneDay’s pleasure to not only create a more beautiful garden, but also help further children’s education! Be on the look out for future events we’re hosting and we look forward to seeing everybody there!!

Fundraising Party in Beer She’va

We were able to have an amazing event in Beer She’va a few weeks ago. The goal was to have a fun and social atmosphere and we like to think we did a pretty good job... Because we also raised over !!! 2,000nis !!! It’s an incredible opportunity to be a part of such a loving and giving community. We cannot wait for our next event in Beer She’va, coming soon!
