happens shortly after he gets the mindcore. he got the mindcore and had been contemplating just goin "fuck it" and ascending without waiting til, like, the verge of death, but that comes before he can actually make his decision anyway

verge of death comes around. specifically does not use the mindcore himself, someone else has to get it on his receptor. in a moment of a whole lot of complicated emotions he desperately requests they let him die. this does not work obviously

i think it could be fun if that someone else was unnamed kiv but i'm not sold on this. whoever it was they assumed he was just like, super delirious from almost dying
