The pain ended quickly. I rose and tried to find my body. Probably lying mangled underneath the metallic wreck. Dying in a road accident is definitely the worse way to go.

Rare And ‘Horrific’: Frilled Shark Startles Fishermen In Australia
“Normally, we wouldn’t call something a living fossil. But the name seems tailor-made for the frilled shark, whose roots are traced to 80 million years ago. Its prehistoric origins are obvious in its primitive body; nearly all of the rare animal’s closest relatives are long extinct.
In the most recent of those 80 million years, the frilled shark has been scaring the bejeezus out of humans who pull it out of the water to find an animal with rows of needle-like teeth in a gaping mouth at the front of its head.
That’s what happened recently off Australia’s coast, where a fishing trawler’s net snagged a frilled shark.”

This photograph was taken as King tried to explain to his daughter Yolanda why she could not go to Funtown, a whites-only amusement park in Atlanta. King claims to have been tongue-tied when speaking to her. “One of the most painful experiences I have ever faced was to see her tears when I told her Funtown was closed to colored children, for I realized the first dark cloud of inferiority had floated into her little mental sky.”

Doctors treating a patient for stomach pain, find a very unusual starchy cause. A 22 year old Colombian woman was using a potato as contraception and the potato had grown roots inside her.
The roots had germinated inside her vagina and grew up into her stomach, causing her intense pain. She said that her mother had advised her to use a potato if she didn’t want to get pregnant.

Each September the Alaskan wood frogs freeze. Two-thirds of their body water turns to ice. If you picked them up, they would not move. If you bent one of their legs, it would break. Their hearts stop beating, their blood no longer flows and their glucose levels sky rocket. BUt then during the spring, they thaw out and return to normal. (Source)

I saw your thing about aspergers/sociopathy, and have a question. Isn't it true sociopaths have either a low/average IQ or an exetremely high one? I've been researching it and that seems to be the case
That could be true. In the majority of cases they do have a low IQ, but some could have very high IQ's. What sources have you looked at?

In Rhode Island, a woman took a cell phone picture of her 22 month-old niece, Penny, while babysitting her alone. After looking at her photo, she saw the woman behind Penny. This woman wasn’t there at the time. She had it examined but no tampering was detected. She has since compared family photos and realized that it looks a lot like her deceased great grandmother. Mouse hippocampus
WHAT IS IT? The hippocampus is found deep in the brains of many mammals, including humans. It’s named for its seahorse shape (in Greek, hippokampos literally means “horse sea monster”).
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? It helps us form memories and navigate space. It contains special cells called “place cells" that create a mental map of our environment. The hippocampus is also one of the first structures to suffer in patients with Alzheimer’s disease, which is characterized by memory loss. The number of patients with Alzheimer’s is predicted to triple by 2050.
WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? Scientists at Harvard Medical School were recently able to re-create Alzheimer’s disease from human cells in a culture dish. This will “revolutionize drug discovery in terms of speed, costs and [disease relevance],” according to a senior co-author on the study.

These two skeletons were found in a grain bin in the archaeological site Hasanlu. The skeletons are about 2,800 years old, and both male. Their closeness in death is very intimate, and indicates a family connection or homosexual relationship. The hole in the skull is due to excavators.

I have submitted to this blog before actually, about my sister being psychic, in a submission called “You Can Go Now, Daddy.” I’m convinced more and more as we get older that it’s real.
Anyway, the summer before the two of us left for college we needed to move houses because our old landlord had...

It was actually confirmed pretty recently that they died in a hailstorm. Scientists compared their wounds with other more modern skeletons of people who had also died in a hailstorm sixpenceee

One of the greatest mysteries of the Himalayas is a small glacial lake named Roopkund. The lake is located in the Uttarakhand state of India, at an altitude of about 5,029 meters (16,499 feet). The area surrounding the lake is completely uninhabited and the water is a five day treacherous hike from civilization.
In 1942, Roopkund gained the name Skeleton Lake when over 500 human skulls, bones and artifacts were discovered surrounding and inside the ice. These human bones have baffled scientists for decades because historians don’t understand who these people were or what they were doing so high in the mountains.
In 2004, it was determined that the skulls contained severe head trauma. Based on this evidence it has been hypothesized that the people died from a sudden hailstorm.
Probably the most remarkable discovery came after scientists conducted DNA tests on the bones, which proved to have a rich source of DNA material. The bodies were dated to AD 850. This date was 600 years earlier than initially reported.
Remarkably, the experts have found that the dead individuals belonged to two different teams. One team is marked by a shorter stature of the skeletons, while the other human bones are significantly taller. It remains unclear exactly who these people were.
