Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 tablespoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed. 1 cup fresh blueberries. 1/2 cup milk. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Zest of 1 lemon.

Do not overmix. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a circle about 1 inch thick. Using a knife or a round cutter, cut the dough into 8 equal wedges. Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the scones are golden brown on the edges. While the scones are baking, prepare the lemon butter glaze by mixing 1/2 cup of powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir until smooth. Once the scones are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the lemon butter glaze over the warm scones. Serve and enjoy!
