CREATING MY OWN PERFUME AT “AJNE”
My bachelorette started early in the morning and we drove to Carmel for private appointment with Jane. She is a perfumer and a magician! Her husband and Jane opened an organic botanical scents store where you can have a perfume mixed just for you. It’s called “AJNE”. To start with I answered some questions (they are pretty tech savvy and ask you to fill online form to find out about your personality and tastes), then Jane gave me an overview of my strengths and weaknesses and suggested the scents which affect and improve different aspects of my life. How cool is that! We tested several perfumes and tried to guess the ingredients. It was hard to make a final choice, I probably sampled more than 20 of them: citrusy, earthy, light and heavy, flourish and woody...
To make up my mind we tried my top 4 on skin and I picked the perfume called “Big Sur”, they packaged it in beautiful bewitched glass with silver decorations and put my name on it at the bottom. The whole experience is amazing, besides learning about yourself and perfume making you are hanging out with your best friends and drink rosé. This was a perfect present for my special day!
To make a private appointment at “AJNE” email or call for reservation. The store is also open to walk-ins, it is full of organic hand made candles, soaps, pre mixed mini perfumes and dry lavender. Totally worth to stop by if you are in Carmel.

BIG SUR - PART 2.
The sound of pouring rain and thunderstorm made it hard to wake up for everyone at Big Sur, but the storm brought calm ocean and magical sky color. It was hard to see where it becomes the ocean. Sierra Mar at Post Ranch Inn is an award winning restaurant with this magnificent view and unforgettable fine dining experience. We had 3 courses tasting menu for lunch and absolutely loved everything. Everything lavender. It looks like they add it to almost every dish: lavender oil in the soup, lavender ice cream and panna cotta. This smell calms you down and it feels like time goes very slow and steady, like those waves in the ocean you watch high atop the cliffs.
If you have time don’t skip the hike, the ranch has several spots worth seeing, for example The Nest (lounge area for relaxing and cuddling) and Chef’s Garden (not sure if John Cox, the Sierra Mar Chef do really grow all his ingredients here). The territory is pretty big and it feels very private, you rarely see one or two couples wondering around.

BIG SUR - PART 1.
Please do yourself a favor and visit Big Sur, it feels like a heaven on Earth! We headed down south from San Francisco on Saturday afternoon to leave big city problems behind. 3,5 hours scenic drive is only a bonus on the way there, make sure to stop by Carmel for coffee and snack. Our destination was McWay Falls Cove, postcard worthy laguna with turquoise water, small waterfall and pristine beach. The trail is very easy to find and it’s only half a mile long. After we had some mimosas and watched sunset we picked a perfect place for dinner - Nepenthe. Their fireplace under the starts is something else, people just hanging out there talking about life, making jokes and telling stories. No phones and social media, no problems and worries, just living in the moment.
No past, no future, just now.

Blue jeans, white shirt
Walked into the room you know you made my eyes burn...
Off-shoulders romantic lace top is mixed with casual ripped jeans and floral flats. Little braids add some light and free spirit mood to the this look, wind is playing with my feather like earrings to compliment this "air-in-my-hair" scene. Bohemian casual weekend look is complete.

Summer in San Francisco is windy and chilly, but you don’t have to say “No” to summer colors. Flaunt what you've got by drawing the eye to yourself with a bright, eye-catching set of colors. Im wearing relaxed and solid color top with cropped linen neon pants and matching color shoes . The cold weather fabric and coat can work just as well when the mercury rises-as long as you keep your silhouette airy and colors light.

DIY - HOW TO ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO BE YOUR BRIDESMAIDS?
After browsing through Pinterest and Instagram I got some inspiration and created this “Will you be my bridesmaid” kit. I got the boxes from FLAX art and design center as well as these ribbons for decoration. My wedding palette is white, gold and lavender, so I made sure to include those colors. The little note on glossy picture said: “I said “Yes” to Sasha, now its your turn to say “Yes” to me. Will you be my bridesmaid?”
I included to the box Bralette from Urban Outfitters, Face mask, Jewelry and membership card from Le Tote and of course some bubble to celebrate!
How can you say no to this? All bridesmaids were happy and excited to plan our bachelorette!
