Home away from home
It can be quite difficult for most Africans, especially those who are new to the west, to explore new foods. Others, however, love to try new foods and expand their horizons; they see it as an adventure. Most Africans view English cuisine as junk food and prefer to prepare their own meals with their own spices.

White people respond more to Afrobeat music than blacks in Brighton
West African and black American music are combined to create the musical genre known as afrobeat, which has a distinctive sound all its own. The genre got its origins in the early 20s in Ghana. In the late 1960’s, the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti, a seasoned musician from Nigeria known as Africa 70 added more spice to it and made it more popular. Since then, afrobeat music has gained popularity and is still around today.
Wizkid, Mr. Eazi, D'banj, Burna Boy, and Davido, among others, have recently been on a few well-liked playlists on music streaming services. They have influenced or worked with Western pop music performers like Chris Brown, Drake, and Beyonce.
Although Brighton is a predominantly white city, it's noteworthy to notice that its residents like listening to afrobeat music in bars, clubs, and even in their homes and automobiles.
Both young and old have been exposed to the genre in large numbers. According to statistics, there are currently more white people than black people at afrobeat events.
According to Christopher (Deejay Cee), he states that the fact that he sees more white people than black people at his gigs indicates that white people are now interested in this type of music.
