On cold winter nights, the thought of Ollie & Moon's adventure keeps me warm!

My son and I both DEVOUR books. But he takes it to a whole new level. This week we're learning, "We read books, not eat books." Not sure how that will go over...I know I was disappointed.

My assistant, Stu, is such a taskmaster! The day started out all fun and games but as you can see, he's gotten down to business. I fear he's about to make me write "I will not goof off" a hundred times (again).

Last week I received the best review a writer can ever get: a heartfelt note from the mother of a boy I met during Rochester Children's Book Festival. It means so much to hear how much Ollie & Moon has touched her family.

This season's Christmas tree arrived at Rockefeller Center yesterday, marking the 80th anniversary of this holiday tradition. The tree was donated by a family in New Jersey and happened to withstand the strong winds of Superstorm Sandy. What a fighter!

The Rockefeller tree has always embodied the spirit of the season. This spirit has been captured so beautifully in "The Carpenter's Gift," a warm, touching story about giving back. If you're looking for a book to share with your family during the holidays, I highly recommend this one.

Rochester Children's Book Festival

This past weekend, I attended the Rochester Children's Book Festival with copies of "Ollie & Moon: Fuhgeddaboudit!" It was a fun time! Really well-run, great enthusiastic volunteers, and so many parents and kids came out. Loved it!
