About a quarter of the way through Dark Disciple and it's absolutely murdering my feelings just how much Asajj desperately wants to love and be loved, how much she aches for it, how angry she is at how it was ripped away from her time and again, with her Jedi Master, with Talzin and her Sisters, how Dooku's betrayal wasn't just that he tried to kill her, but that he didn't love her. And it makes me think about Dooku who I think wanted to love her, but turned away from that love, because he was too deep into the dark side, because you couldn't love anyone or anything while working for Sidious, so he denied both her and himself that love, and how much it bitterly aches for both of them.
