—— it felt as if halloween was around the corner and with the costume stores returning to the town once a year, layla had the desire to look for a costume already. she didn’t even have an option in mind yet. a reason why she dragged addison along, to keep her company. as she was heading toward the pirates aisle, she eventually looked over at him. “have you thought about who you’re going to dress up or have any choices in mind already?”

the self-proclaimed king of halloween, addison was ashamed to admit that he hadn’t put any thought into his costume. what, with everything that was going on, he had a lot more to worry about. allowing a sigh to escape from his lips, he gently ran his fingers through his hair as he turned to look at layla. “i’ve got a couple of ideas,” he shrugged, it wasn’t a complete lie, he did have a couple of ideas. though nothing that stood out, but he’d come up with something. “what about you?”

—— it’s been years since she considered ice skating, but the fact that it was fall and the weather was getting colder, she figured now was the perfect mood to do so. at first, she attempted to invite a small group, but everyone else seemed busy. with a sigh, she was out of her dormitory building and as her eyes glanced around, the thought of inviting blaise popped into her head. she gave a small smile and quickly dialed their number. of course, she also had other options in mind in case they weren’t interested.

their nose buried in a book, blaise was oblivious to the world around him. it wasn’t a particularly interesting book, in fact, if he hadn’t been so bored he probably would’ve given up on it a long time ago. but seeing as he was, the brunette seemed almost determined to finish. in fact, if he hadn’t been so focused, he would’ve noticed the vibration his phone made before the familiar sounds of his ring tone filled the air, causing him to let out a startled yelp as he scrambled to grab ahold of it. he didn’t bother to look at the name, simply pressing the button as he held it to his ear. “hello?” he asked, his tone, perhaps just a bit too hostile.
