robot mecha anime that is almost entirely about all the hundreds of mechanics and engineers that make the mech possible. the actual mech is only ever shown in parts in the bay or as a blip on a radar. the whole this is shot in a way that makes the machine as eldritch and incomprehensible as the monsters it is fighting. maybe it’s set before digital video so all glimpses of it in action are bad angles on terrible analogue monitors. such that you never even really lock down how its anatomy works. the pilot can be there and be important, but like it’s like a weird eldritch horror take on office politics.

Okay reblog if you’re an artist who STRONGLY PREFERS reblogs with commentary

People are apparently under the impression that reblogging someone’s art and adding a comment is frowned upon and that can’t possibly be true, every artist I know of sees a reblog-comment as like the ultimate definitive reward for their hard work.

Obviously don’t feel bad for NOT adding a comment if you’re shy or just don’t know what to say, but if there’s something you would like to say about a drawing you’ve liked enough to reblog, I’m pretty sure most artists crave hearing it.

Since I haven’t posted anything Iron Leaguer related for awhile I figured I’d post some more pictures from the Iron Leaguer Perfect Guide.

The first pic is an Iron Leaguer Zodiac Chart with each of the characters listed as a different western zodiac sign. I at least managed to get my translator to give me some of an idea what each say but nothing complete, so here is at least what sign belongs to who.

Top Joy: Libra

Gold Foot: Scorpio

Mach Windy: Sagittarius

Jurota: Capricorn

GZ: Aquarius

Ryuken: Pisces

Magnum Ace: Aries

Bull Armor: Taurus

Gold Mask: Gemini

Gold Arm: Cancer

The next two pages go over the ‘rules’ of the Iron League. Again I got some translations but not complete.

No outside equipment that are not directly apart of the sport and ‘projectile’ ports (like what GZ has for shooting hockey pucks) must be sealed. Sorry, Jurota. No using your Muton Sword while playing baseball.

All leaguers must be designed off of the basic skeleton. (Not entirely sure how accurate my translator is but that’s what it gave me.)

The referee’s decision is absolute. (Kind of obvious from the picture. XD)

Additional adapters deemed ‘required’ by competition are allowed. (Again not complete but it either means that or installations of the adapters are free.)

The basic rules that conforms to the competition. (Yet it also adds 'I shall not set the details’)

Balls to be used for the ball games, must be Association Certified.

Any Iron Leaguers can participate in any sport.

To make a long story short, a copy of the Motion Picture materials has been acquired by @mercysewerpyro and will be more properly scanned in the future, but I managed to get a look at Topjoy’s concept art page!

The top part says “Design Keywords” or important things to be conveyed in the design.

The first of the words, while a bit blurry, is “黒人” or “Black Person”.

So we have it confirmed in an official source, folks!
