This is a side blog run by The Scribbled Cosmos System (@scribbledcosmos). We are a mixed origin, probably nondisordered system with a ton of octives! posts will be cued by whoever’s in front but if someone actually says something about the post then you can most likely assume they’re an octive themselves.

Okay so my headmate, who’s a fictive of an eldritch god/horror, struggled with feeling insecure after developing morals after getting stuck in a human body, so he decided to make a story where one of the main characters is an eldritch god/horror that struggles with feeling insecure after developing morals after being temporarily stuck in a human body. And I’m a newly formed octive of one of the OTHER eldritch horrors/gods that exist in that story’s universe. This is not going to go badly for me at all I’m sure. :) :D :) :D :) :D :( :D :) :D :)

Sometimes I mourn my family. That they aren't as real as I am. They are real, in another universe. But not this one. I can't leave to visit them. My sons are pixels on a screen. My sister is just an OC. It feels... painful to remember them because I have sentience, and they don't. I could visit them in game or daydream, but I think it would just make it worse.

Question for alters that "began" as ocs and were roleplayed in a variety of settings/different versions/etc before splitting or realizing that they are a present consciousness.

What do you choose to identify as (introject, spiritual identity in a shared body, part/alter of a system, etc.)? How do you feel about each "life" that you've had? Does one feel more "real" to you or are they all a part of your identity? Do you feel homesick for experiences or people or settings outside of reality and how do you cope with this?

being in a sys with octives is so so fun… a polycule insys is getting married soon and one of them has been thinking about getting some cosmetic changes (aka he got called emo and is committing to the bit especially now since hes mid-transition) and they had a convo like

Hi! This is Sylvia of the Jade System, a subsystem of the Wild Sunflower System! We're responding to your post about asking for peeps to infodump about themselves/source :)

My subsystem consists of me (caretaker/notetaker), Benji (our jack-of-all-trades), Mason (our mood booster), and Jamison (our stabilizer). Our source is a story made by our main host, Marzipan (they're the host of the Wild Sunflower System as a whole), and Eric, another OCtive of Marzipan's.

In our source, we work as a barista, living in Seattle, originally born in a small town in Pennsylvania. We are working on our Master's degree in Environmental Science, with the goal of becoming a high school Science teacher!

We introjected during a really rough time for Marzipan when they were in college, getting their Bachelor's degree in Biology. We share some interests with Marzipan and the system as a whole (such as biology, ecology, and ENVS), but we are much more focused on the child-development aspect of our education, so that we can be the best teachers we possibly can be!

Overall, the four of us are really close, and I think technically a median system. We also are dating another member of the Wild Sunflower System, named Cornelius!

We had a hard time adjusting to being part of the Wild Sunflower system for the first few months, but we've made ourselves comfortable now, and love being here :)

Oh wow that’s so interesting! I love that you all have such a close bond :)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a system that is heavily based in your own stories, worlds, or other creations. It’s okay to feel like you belong more in your stories than in the real world! It’s okay to make your own creative works an integral part of your system or collective. There’s no right or wrong way to be a system, and finding inspiration and belonging from your creations is a fine way to exist as plural!
