Saw throne of blood last night. Allow me to be reductive and say that it was boring. Looked great though. Refreshing platonic studies does remind me further of irma vep, the limitations of matter. Demiurgic endeavors to create with vril yet inevitably falling from flawless design to problematic execution, exhibited in a dichotomy between the perfect cosmos and an imperfect material realm.

The end product of Irma Vep is like a fleeting unfinished anxious dream, "the trap " capturing from desire, In fantasy as well as a fixation, applying it to something subjective on a group level like film production. It is a self critique, in the remaking/ tearing down of formulaic french traditional cinema.
