I know this isn't a political blog but bear with me. I'm not American but German, I feel like everyone is kinda missing the global implications of Trump's fascism, or maybe I'm just not seeing it talked about.

The AfD (Germanys right wing Party, you might recognize them because Musk had an interview with their counselor candidate) is stronger than ever. Our past government and counselor (who have been either left leaning or more middle-of-the-road-conservative) have failed us in many ways over the past years and have fallen generally out of favor. This means people will flock to the right. The failings of the left will always result in favor of the right.

People are comparing Trump's inauguration to Hitler's rise to power, and they are sadly correct. I've learned about Nazi Germany, every German is required to as far as I know: We visited the concentration camps, the museums, we read Anne Frank's diary. Still people stand by the AfD. I've even met people who say they'll vote for them "out of spite for the other parties". Sounds kinda familiar to some Americans doesn't it...

I'm genuinely scared of the votes in February. Even if the AFD doesn't get the 51% they need, they'll surely get more votes than ever. It's just a matter of time at that point until they get that percentage, even if it takes four more years.

If a nation allows Nazis and fascist to rise to power, other nations will follow. The fact that Americans have allowed this to happen will have global consequences.

I'm sorry to all my American brothers, sisters, and siblings. If the comparisons to Nazi Germany are correct (which most certainly they are) you will have a long four years ahead of you. But if I'm not mistaken, you'll at least not be alone because Germany and probably other nations will follow.

why do i keep seeing whole videos on advice for artfight from “veterans” or whatever. here’s all the advice you need:

you don’t need to draw every day

you don’t need to fully render every drawing, sketches still count and the person receiving it will still love it

you don’t need a fully polished ref sheet for every single character, having a basic one or even just a colour palette along with whatever other art you’ve done works fine in most cases

you don’t need to draw a fully rendered piece every single day do not burn yourself out or injure yourself for funny little internet points good lord
