GUYZ... LOOOOOOOOK!!!! ...okay, between taxes and licensing (almost 500 bucks!), renting a uhaul to tow it, gasoline, and the hitch ball it needed to tow, I am hyperventilating... but THIS will be home once we can make repairs to it, and get our friend to tow it to the property and hook it up to the systems there... Aaaaaand we're doin' it!! We're in a final GoFundMe push to get the towable trailer/rv out there and today we filed the site assessment plan! I thought you might want to know what the property plan looks like- here it is, outlined in red. The green patch is protected wetland, and the gray road is a main highway/road that is plowed all winter. It's 20 acres in all, but the little road that leads north up the side is dirt, and on a serious hill/slope that requires a 4x4 in poor weather... the tiny cabin will be about 350 square feet inside, and the two things beside it are cargo/shipping containers to use as storage. No fencing to speak of exists, and it's open rangeland, so we will need to do that too. So many tasks! Do you geek out over rocks? So do we! Sent one home with our conservation consultant and the other is still hanging out... so many really fascinating rocks out there, exposed by previous construction digging! We'll have to store them and think of a fabulous outdoor project to build... these two rocks are about the same size, for comparison. Meet Miss Kitty, whose favorite hobby is sunning herself, or dancing in the moonlight. She is our resident 'circus goat' with mad skills to climb anywhere and everywhere she wants... yet she is sweet and lovable and VERY cuddly! She's got a baby in the oven as it were, and we can't wait to meet it! This was actually taken before escrow on the property even closed... we were pretty sure it was the one, though. -and look! IT WAS!! It sure was pretty in the late fall of 2018... it was just as glorious in the deep snow of 2019... I can't wait to see the lushness of the first spring grasses... I wish we could get the goats out there for that this year, but the well pump isn't in yet, so they will have to content themselves with summer forage if we can manage an RV or trailer that quick!
