does anyone know if fnaf ever states the characters (namely the aftons and emilies) religion? someone mentioned to me that they are canon Catholics (or Christian, i cant rlly remember), but im too lazy to google it. they probs are tho bc the names (or william was bored and chose really symbolic names + the queen) (this is also for my main au)

so like the names in fnaf have meaning. most of the time, they are linked to like religion, mostly the bible. william seems to be portrayed as God in this. michael is ‘he who is like God.’ david is obviously meant to represent king david. also side note-im an atheist, i just grew up catholic and go to catholic school so i know about this stuff (i googled it but like oh well). so anyways, clara means ‘famous’ because she only appears on TV-but elizabeth’s name is another william-centric, or God-centric, name. ‘God’s Promise’ or ‘God is my oath’ are the two results when googled. This theory mainly circles around the whole God’s promise thingy.

also ignore any random grammar-i sometimes go into essay mode when doing this. anyways, so her name is talking about a promise william made. considering elizabeth and david were around the same age when they died, they are clearly meant to be connected in some way, besides being like siblings and stuff. we never rlly see them interact besides the possibility of her being pigtail girl from fnaf 4, which i do feel is likely. back at the ranch, what’s a promise william possibly made to david?
