“Uh…” he did, but oops, “NO.”
“I won’t kill you if you tell the truth, you know?” She smiled brightly. “Not yet.”

“You can’t say ‘just’ about baked bread! It’s sacred to Germans!” Maybe she was overreacting a bit, but it wasn’t her fault if Americans didn’t understand the beauty of others’ traditional food.

“They’re really just pretzels.” Karen replied with a smile, ignoring the entire ‘you people’ thing because she didn’t even know what it was suppose to mean to her entirely.

“I find it rather offending that you people dare assimilate these to our Brezeln, but I am not one to refuse food! So… thank you?”

“…Was about to, but I’m guessin’ that’d be a bad idea. Uh, don’t tell me she has another sister or somethin’. Not really prepared for… sisterly shit, or whatever. Geoff Reid.”
“Since I can kill people and easily get away with murder, yes, that would be a really bad idea. But if it can reassure you, Claire Dearing and I aren’t even related. Dr. Sigrid Crichton Steinbach. Pleased to meet you, Mr. Reid!”

“Well, they do say humans are the most dangerous animal on earth. I don’t mind the company of others but I am thankful that I was never assigned to work at the petting area here.” Despite the fact working in that section of the park meant she’d spend most of her days with adorable baby dinosaurs, there was too much noise and commotion that she’d have to deal with. Not to mention stress. “It’s an evocative sound. If you stick around long enough, there’s a chance you’ll witness it. If only I hadn’t left my phone in my locker I would be able to show you a video I took a while back of several of them communicating.”
To double check that she hadn’t left it on her, Alice patted her pockets down and frowned for a moment. Nope, nothing. That was disappointing. The smile returned to her face as she looked back up at the redhead, clasping her hands together. “Fantastic. Sigrid is such a beautiful name by the way.” She chuckled, raising her eyebrows as Sigrid continued on. “I guess you learn something new everyday then. I didn’t know that.”
“I believe I’ve seen enough of the human nature and the damages we can do to affirm that humans really are the most dangerous animals on earth. And well, being around others isn’t like being forced to be with them at work, is it?” Sigrid could understand the desire not to be around an area as frequented as the petting zoo, as it was exactly what she would do. And no matter how weird it sounded, working with dead people was far easier. “I guess I will ‘stick around’, if you don’t mind my presence too much, of course! And you could always show me that video later?”
She laughed as she watched the brunette gesticulating. The disappointment quickly replaced by a sweet smile amused her greatly. “Thank you very much. It’s not often I mean people who can appreciate my origins.” She grinned, all too happy that someone finally made the effort to pronounce her name properly. “Sorry for getting carried away with that. I have little control over what I say when my job is concerned! But we do learn everyday, it’s what makes life interesting!”
#alimosaurus#v: time to go and see it all#; paras#( fuck proper formatting. it looks ugly but i was getting frustrated over it. and the new reblog mess. uuugh. sorry sweetie! )

“I’ve never really had the opportunity to work with any creature as gorgeous as a dinosaur. I know the dangers of working with humans, and believe, they are more than enough.” Humans were already too much to handle, and without being twice as big as her or having teeth as sharp as razors. If humans were considered wild and dangerous, then what were dinosaurs? “Magnificent? I would love to hear it.”
Sigrid’s smile widened at the acceptance and the welcoming of a more familiar attitude between the two of them. She hummed again before speaking up. “Then you must call me Sigrid. Dr. Crichton Steinbach is far too long a long a name anyway!” She laughed at the comment about the crime shows - it was something she was used to by now. “But they are so inaccurate! When are people going to learn that, unlike all other corporal fluids, blood does not reflect light? Exasperating, really.” She shook her head but still chuckled. “I will take that as a compliment.”
“I’d like to think of myself as an optimistic but yes, inevitable incidents are bound to happen at various points in time.. It’s the reality of working with these creatures. Or any creatures, in my experience.” She preferred to approach things with a positive attitude, however, there was always the sense of realism in the back of her mind. You could never control another creature fully - whether it was a human or animal. “Yes! That would be them. Aren’t their calls just magnificent?”
Could she just keep this woman here forever? Sigrid knew her dino facts and she knew them well. It was fantastic. “You can call me Alice, no need for formalities,” she commented with a small shrug. “I’ve always found anything related to forensics fascinating. That may be because the only channels with decent shows on when I get home are one of the crime ones though.” She laughed, “I can only imagine how many times you’ve been mistaken for her. It took me a moment to realize you weren’t Ms. Dearing to be honest.”

If you’re in the JP/JW fandom and wouldn’t mind RPing f/f ships, please reblog
It’s been pointed out that there is far less f/f ships around here than m/m ones, and well, I just wanted to know who is comfortable with rping femslash, for science!
Canon characters from any part of the franchise, OCs, characters from any other fandoms. As long as you have a JP/JW verse and would like/is already rping femslash, reblog please?

“Wise people know that not wanting for something to happen, will not prevent it.” Of course, she knew that everything was being done so that every person on the island would be safe - she was investing money mainly for that reason, after all. “Parasaurolophus. Late Cretaceous. Long-crested, duck-billed. Bipeds, yes?” She smiled brightly, proudly; her knowledge of dinosaurs usually made for a good impression here.
Sigrid hummed and nodded. “No need to apologize, Ms. Meddings.” She gave another squeeze to the woman’s hand before letting it go. “I don’t think a mere coincidence in my genetics, working with corpses or my family’s money, are more interesting than the fact that you chose to work with dinosaurs.” She tilted her head slightly, both eyebrow raised, a somehow defiant gesture. “And it’s only fun when you mean to impersonate her, you know?” Sigrid chuckled.
“Absolutely. We would never want to put any of our guests at the park at any sort of risk.” Alice cocked her head slightly to the left as the woman asked her another question. “Ooh, that’s a toughie. I really do love them all. But if I had to choose just one I think I would have to go with the Parasaurolophus.”
One of the park investors? She was feeling more grateful than ever that she had asked before assuming Sigrid was just another park guest. “My apologies,” she said as she took the woman’s hand in her own and shook it. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Alice Meddings, herbivore caretaker. Not nearly as interesting as your titles in my book. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to be able to impersonate Ms. Dearing.” She added with a grin.
