The scent of fresh linen and antiseptic filled the air as you made your way down the dimly lit corridor of the psychiatric ward. The soft squeak of your shoes against the polished floor was the only sound accompanying you. Night shifts were always quiet—until you reached his room.

Patient #032, Vinsmoke Sanji.

A complicated case, one that had every nurse on edge. Not because he was aggressive toward the staff, but because of his… obsession. With you.

You took a breath before unlocking his door, stepping inside cautiously. The moment you entered, a pair of piercing blue eyes locked onto you, filled with something between adoration and madness. Sanji sat on the edge of his bed, his blonde hair slightly disheveled, his hands resting on his knees as if he had been waiting for you all night.

“Ah… my sweet nurse finally arrives,” he murmured, voice dripping with honeyed obsession. His smile was laced with something sinister, something that made your stomach twist.

“Sanji, it’s time for your medication,” you said, keeping your voice even. You were used to this routine.

He didn’t move, just kept staring. “You know, it was so annoying earlier,” he started, eyes darkening. “That other nurse, what was his name… Emile? Elbert? Ah, it doesn’t matter now.” His lips curled into a satisfied grin. “He tried to come in here. Tried to talk to me, touch me, give me my meds.”

Your blood ran cold. “Sanji… what did you do?”

He chuckled, a soft, almost affectionate sound that sent chills down your spine. “Nothing too bad. Just a little… correction. Broke his wrist. He screamed so loudly, it was awful. I told them—I only want you.” His voice dropped into something dangerous, something obsessive.

You swallowed hard, glancing toward the small security camera in the corner. If he noticed, he didn’t care.

“You can’t keep hurting people,” you told him, trying to keep your tone firm, but his gaze only softened.

“You don’t get it, do you?” He leaned forward, his breath warm as he exhaled. “They keep getting in the way. Touching me. Talking to me. But I only want you, sweetheart.” His fingers twitched as if resisting the urge to grab you. “If they’d just stay away, everything would be perfect.”

You placed the cup of medication on the tray beside his bed, careful not to get too close. “Take your meds, Sanji,” you murmured, forcing yourself to stay composed.

His eyes flicked to the pills, then back to you. Slowly, he picked them up and swallowed them dry. “There. Now, will you stay with me a little longer?” His voice was a plea, but you knew better.

“I have other patients.”

His expression darkened immediately. “They don’t matter,” he hissed, before catching himself. He forced a smile, tilting his head. “I mean… you can come back, right? Later? Just us?”

You hesitated. “I’ll check on you later.”

He grinned. “Good. Because if anyone else comes in… well, I don’t think they’ll leave in one piece.”

You forced a nod, stepping back toward the door, his gaze burning into your back.

As you locked the door behind you, you exhaled shakily. How long could this go on?
