SUPER SMASH BROS. Melee

A game pitting 26 of Nintendo’s own characters against each other in a hand to hand combatactionpackedsidescrollingcompetetivefightinggame. I would say over the past month or two i have put in around 20 hours of in game time so i am by no means good at the game, however i have come to appreciate it as a game now. When you start of your journey in smash you have a basic premise of the game - hit people with A and B move with the Analog stick and as you get hit more your percentage goes up and as your percentage goes up you get hit further. This is hours 1-8. Your reactions are slow and as a result you get hit more than you get to hit. This is fun if your in a group of other shit people, it is fun on your own as well just not as much.... then through hours 9-18 you start to grasp the game more and more. you realize who you like and you start to learn certain characters good moves, you get better. yaaay you're not shit. this is when you realize quite how deep this game actually is. Every character has a multitude of moves each of which is different, some of shit some are amazing. The percentage feature is fantastic because you always have a chance to come back, if you get hit in tekken when your health is low you die that's it. But in smash bros you can get come back from that, and i believe if you could see into the future while playing smash you could win because its all about outsmarting your opponent, seeing their moves would grant such a advantage. 

Now a breath of air in the history of the game.

Smash bros was released in 2001 and quickly began to work its way into peoples hands. People that would also realize the things I've realized, and before long tournaments for this game were set up all over north american. These tournaments began to show just how competitive the game could be. Individuals began rising up as champions of this new scene, almost unbeatable players who through talent and hard work took the game to a new level. A level where the game was revealed to be a dance of skill, a game where any thing could happen, and anyone could win if they played well. I highly recommend the documentary on youtube if you have a spare 4 hours....

Anyway i have talked enough - 92% - it doesnt get much better than this game. Its only problem is that to unlock its true beauty it almost has to be played multiplayer.

Oranges - B+.

Oranges, fruit, humble, honorable, orange, fruit.*Bananas*.  They take between 0.5 - 5 mins to peel, depending on thickness of the skin. *Ban-* The skin that is thick is a larger orange, they tend to be more bitter, i prefer these types(notsurewhy). *whynotba-* The smaller oranges tend to have thinner skin, but the quality isnt always present in these types. Though at markets i have had some awesome thin skined. The over all texture of oranges is remarkably similar to jelly which defiantly adds to the overall package. *ba* £1 also is not bad for four of any medium sized fruit. To be honest i would actually prefer bananas, bananas are the best fruit if you disagree you have fruit issues. But my local store has shite bananas             -_-.

So basically what happened there is, erm. well. that was a mutiny , of bananas over the oranges review. It happens to the best of us. If you ask me a question i will answer it.

Gorillaz - an amazing combo 85%funguaranteedoryourmoneyback

Gorillaz are an animated band of characters hiding a fantastic gold mine of good songs from Damon Albarn, i should add the illistration is done by Jamie Hewlett. Fortunately they did a biography thing and on page 43 a short discussion is had by the band about every song and how it was made, a song by song if you will. Through the combination of itunes of whatever audio program you fancy, you can listen to the Gorillaz debut album and  read them being analysed by the band. I think later they go on to talk about the videos but i havent got that far in the last three days. Annnnyway i feel like this was a short review so heres  a fun little web site known as reddit to browse http://www.reddit.com/

Twitter 66%good

Twitter is good, dont get me wrong, i enjoy the site but it has this thing about it…….its kinda too mainstream……yeah i said it…….i didnt think i was hipster but i genuinely think it is (toomainstream). if your following people who your not paying attention to your doing twitter like im doing twitter and i think it has to change. It fills up your feed of witty, wild and wamazing tweets with junk, not only does it become a hostile place due to not every tweet pleasing you but this then on to make twitter a place you dont feel comfortable tweeting

so when twitter becomes a place you dont even wanna be tweeting your tweet standards go way down, you forget about doing funny tweets and replace it by quantity because thats what every tv show, film, actor and most artists do…… its shit. HOWEVER, twitter is a great platform to put out your thoughts because its so simple, literally everybody can benefit from going on twitter once a week which makes it so enjoyable. but i feel like what i just ranted about can kinda cancel that out..augh its so annoying

The Interview - 4.5/5

If you go into this film wanting to see a Seth Rogan comedy it will be great, guaranteed. But if you are looking for a deep meaning and intellectual challenge you may be disappointed. This film essentially takes a great plot idea and does it the only way it could be done to make comedy, which is a Mr. Bean crossed with step brothers kind of thing. Stupid situations lead to stupid funny situations lead to halarious stupid situations, this is essentially a good 75% of the film, serious storytelling is not what the interview is about and because of this i feel the controversial hype around it was negative for the motion picture. It (the hype) caused too many people who would usually enjoy this film to go in expecting a serious story with some witty humour. Im not bashing Dan, Evan or Seth but i dont feel witty is the word any body familiar with this series of films would use. And despite the gratitude that i have been giving this film it did not perform better than average on a funny factor, although the honey dick thing was funny. No, the real reason this film is great is due to it being a creative comedy, no once does the comedy fall back on comedy film classics like pot to provide humour, it cleverly throws two men into a new and topical situation where not even the audience is sure what to expect. North Korea has stories of horror surrounding it, however due to the difficult but still neglected mainstream media coverage of the country it is not known by the general public the extend of the North Korean injustices so it is difficult to rally around. I feel this film takes a step in the right direction with this issue by pointing out flaws with the country unfortunately it doesn’t provide real evidence it only implies the problems. Probably go see it or rent it online with new internet shop thing.  Cheers for reading xoxoxoxo

Snapchat

If you dont think snapchat is fun you arnt fun, snapchat is the foundation of modern day banter. Its flirty, silly, halarious, occasionally useful and free, if you have a smart phone you have no reason not to have it other than “i dont want the NSA spying on my cat.”. Snapchat allows people to be incredibly creative using the written text and doodle functions to the photography/cinematography itself. It makes for many opportunities to be witty and allows everyone to have their own style of snapchat. Be it making puns or making various pets look like large penises. Combine this with the spontaneity of having a whole image pop up full screen instantly, add a time limit into the mix and snapchat is a clever excuse to share something funny with people who should or shouldn’t be there with you. And it doesn’t have to just be humour, this app allows for quick conversations through the message feature. Oh its also good for showing your junk to someone.
