the hobbit

idc what anyone says about the hobbit franchise. say what you will about bag CGI, or dropped character details (there are a lot of good bilbo moments we missed out on) but frankly. I DONT CARE!!!!!

i remember the first time i watched the hobbit (watched it before lotr, late to the party, i know) and i was just so enamored with it. bilbo is just so loveable, and i love the dwarves and their relationships, and the bagginshield of it all

say what you will about the scene the brick scene with legolas, and the barrel scene with bombur, but they're so much fun i cant be bothered to care

ofc, people are entitled to their own opinions, and i completely agree that some of the plot isnt the best, i didnt like tauriel very much, we missed out on some awesome bilbo moments (giving the keys back to the guard so he didnt get in trouble, putting straw in the barrels for the dwarves 🥺), and maybe it's the nostalgia talking, but all i wanna think about are the good moments of those movies. cause it made me so, so happy watching them. i recently rewatched them all and i found myself completely enamored with the hobbit once more.

tldr, say what you will about the flaws about the hobbit, but it's such a fun, adorable, heartbreaking, silly, amazing movie. i think people forget about the good parts when all they see is the bad. sure, there are some "not-great" parts but that doesn't negate the fact that they're still 3 amazing films. regardless of what yall say.
