Turns out, it is indeed a shiny Scyther! You throw out your Quilava that you for some reason named Fish to engage battle, and immediately chuck a Great Ball at the shiny.

One shake… Two shake… Three shake…

CLICK!

You caught the lovely, Splatoon 2 coloured Scyther!

Anyways that was my experience with catching shiny Scyther and no it was not an Alpha Pokemon ok goodbye

And we're back! As I mentioned earlier in the week I don't for how long I'll keep running the weekly challenges now that Splatoon 3's content updates are done, but we'll keep going for the time being until I can clearly see there isn't all that much interest.

Speaking of content updates being done, that takes us to this week's theme:

We are NOT having a game take place in WW1

I doubt past winning will do too much.

Marie winning probably just would have swapped marie and callie, and the story would have been the same.

Order winning would have made the idols look different and maybe take place in a different setting, but alterna and the story would have been the exact same, maybe deep cut wouldnt have been bandits but unfortunately their story presence wasnt that much in the first place. Side order would have changed the most

Nintendo has been saying splatoon 3 is the end of a story arc. i HIGHLY doubt squid sisters are going to be central to another story because past won. they're not going to be the main idols again or whatever. i think we're gonna get some nice nostalgia themed stuff or maybe traditional architecture and clothing and that's about it.

I would love a story taking place in the great turf war though
