Tbh, it does track.
Taking Watson’s birthday to be 7 August 1852, and suggesting that he went to the University of London at age 18 (as makes sense given the time he graduated), we can suggest that Watson lived in London 1870-1878. Whilst there were several rugby clubs in 1870, there was no league. However, in December of that year Edwin Ash of Richmond and Benjamin Burns of Blackheath wrote a letter in the times proposing one. On 26 January 1871, 21 club representatives founded the Rugby Football Union and established a committee to codify the rules.
From this, and particularly in the reference to Blackheath and Richmond, it could be suggested that Doyle is implying that Watson was involved to some extent in the founding of Rugby Union as we know it today, or at least that he was present at this time. Blackheath as a club is understood to be the oldest surviving non-university/school rugby club, and the Captain for England when it was established as a team at this time was also of Blackheath.
Basically, Watson was canonically playing rugby for Blackheath at a really exciting time both in his club and in terms of the sport as a whole. Also Holmes is gay.

I would do this, TBH.
(helpless laughter)
The book in question, according to news outlet RomaToday, was Gli Dei alle sei. L'Iliade all'ora dell'aperitivo by Giovanni Nucci who examines The Iliad from the point of view of the gods while highlighting the interpretative power of the epic work to understand current events.

Cue the Chef Reacts guy.
one of the chocolate guys videos appears on your dash. you pause your scrolling to watch it, trying to guess what he’s making because this doesn’t seem to be one you’ve seen before. as the video goes on you get more unnerved and impressed — he seems to be making a whole human being this time, and it’s uncannily realistic. it’s even filled with candied fruit and sweet pastries in place of organs, red velvet cake and a cherry reduction making up flesh and blood beneath the chocolate. but something feels off. the person he’s making seems strangely familiar. upon the final reveal, you know why. amaury guichon has created a perfect replica of you
