page 001 : preview a (3x4) / preview b (4x4) / code
henlo! this is my entry for coding cabin’s pagecraft challenge! it’s an all-in-one page with, uhh, many options. this is the first page theme I’m releasing so I’m a little [sweats] nervous ;;;
features : a full-width grid layout & 16 possible pre-styled content types (including simple text, a quote, lists, blogroll, those fancy skill bars, faq, etc)
important : basic knowledge in html/css is definitely required. the code and my comments are self-explanatory. if you want to do anything beyond replacing the placeholders (for example change the order of the grid items), then you should only do this when you know what you’re doing.
notes : the layout is intended to be 3x4 (so no more than 12 grid items as shown in preview a) because that’s already a lot of information to put on one page in my opinion, but you can wild it out if you really want to and add as many grid items as you want… the page will scroll (preview b). all content types can be used multiple times.

1. Summer homework if you have any. I’ve had homework every single summer since 1st grade (around 7 years old) but I know that a lot of schools don’t do this. This is actually my first summer in 11 years without any homework since I am graduating from high school this weekend!
2. Teach yourself something new / take a class online. Personally, I’ll be using Memrise to teach myself Astronomy, French, some miscellaneous history, Political Science, and ASL. If you’re looking to learn a language, I highly recommend Duolingo as well, and there are a huge number of other websites where you can take classes.
3. Get school supplies for next year. Pretty self-explanatory :)
4. Read more! Pick up one of those books that you’ve been meaning to read, or go to the library and choose a book that looks interesting. If you like writing, you could also write a paper about it.
5. Get some work experience or volunteer. Although not really study related, it can improve your ability to work during the school year.
6. Organize your room, desk, backpack, closet, etc.
7. Pick up or pursue a hobby. Maybe you haven’t had time to practice guitar or painting since you’ve been so busy with school, but now is your time to actually do it! If you can’t think of any hobbies or skills to try, there are a bunch of ideas online.
8. Set up a bullet journal if you haven’t already. If you don’t know what that is or haven’t tried one yet, there’s tons of inspiration right here in the studyblr community!
9. Start the 30 day studyblr challenge, the 100 days of productivity challenge, or another similar challenge. Yes, even during the summer!
10. And lastly, just RELAX. We all push ourselves so hard during the school year, we all need to learn how to relax and keep ourselves from burning out.

You have forgotten who you are and so have forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Simba. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the Circle of Life.

reasons to not quit writing:
your writing is a skill, not an inborn talent (unless, yeah, maybe it is). not everyone can do what you do and love
everyone says they want to write a book. everyone has what it takes to write a book. not everyone does it anyway. you be the small percentage of success you read about
your writing will always seem brickshit horrible because you wrote and read it a million times
you love this writing thingy. quitting it will be like cutting off your fingers one by one.
someone out there will want to read what you wrote.
someone out there wants to know what is on your mind.
someone out there appreciates your art. they will share it with their friends. they will share it with their loved ones. they will share it with their future self because maybe what you wrote saved them.
if you give up now, you know you will just come back to it again, whether it’s years from now, months, or next week. you love writing, that’s why you planted the seed of thought that you are going to write this book, and whether you come back to it or not, your unwritten stories will come back to you.
