It wouldn't be accurate to say transfems are new to experiencing misogyny, but for the most part, we are generally bad at understanding ourselves as being valid targets of misogyny & won't immediately realize it is happening. I have had to do a double take and realize that I'm being sexually harassed, being patronized, that my doctor has had a secret goal of keeping me skinny for the past three years. We've been the type of girl you're allowed to abuse our entire lives, naming it is new.

idk sometimes i kinda wonder if such a thing as a unified "trans community" even exists. and i *definitely* wonder if such a thing as a unified "queer community" is real.

it's always funny to me when transmascs talk about how nice it is to transition and not feel pressured to look attractive anymore. like I'm glad being ugly gives you gender euphoria or whatever but please tell me you understand that that is an example of you benefitting from male privilege. misogyny forces women, especially trans women, to conform to largely white supremacist beauty standards, and in fact historically (and still in many places) trans women's ability to medically transition at all is determined by whether a psychiatrist thinks we would be attractive as women

I've said this before but if anyone's is curious why I say the rationalist clique is ideologically racist, really there are a lot of reasons but it becomes evident when you take a look at who qualifies as a real scholar to them.

University of Cairo Professor Emeritus of Political Science? Not a real expert in middle east politics, especially if what they say aligns with the anti-imperialists they so despise

University of Chicago Assistant-Professor of Middle-East Studies (white)? A real expert on MENA politics, especially if they say that the Zionist Entity is invincible and the Arab states must normalize

Tsinghua University Esteemed Fellow in Economics? Not a real scholar of economics, Especially if they're saying that the PRC is aiding African nations in sustainable development

Random quant trader on Twitter? Real scholar of economics, especially if they're saying China is exactly the same as the British Empire in Africa

Once you start noticing the patterns in who these people validate as real thinkers with real perspectives it is impossible to unsee
