How 'soon' demo?

I'm asking because I've seen blogs where it was written "demo: soon", even a year after blog was created 😅

The demo should be ready and released in a couple of days! I would say it is about halfway ready at the moment

Did MC expect their father to bail them out of trouble through connections and stuff already, or did they expect him to just hire the best lawyers out there to deal with the case so him using the connections for the charges to get dropped was a surprise? It would feel a bit odd if the former is the case, to be honest.

A little bit of both.

Basically the father used his connections to get the MC out on bail earlier than they would have been able to otherwise. They are basically on house arrest.

For the actual court meeting, he will have best lawyers + probs threaten/bribe the jury. His primary goal will be to argue it was an accident more or less, meaning MC cannot be hold accountable for attempted murder by intent.

He also intends to convince the Sharmas (A's parents) not to press charges by spoilers (I can't say). It's not so much that he used connections to get the charges dropped as much as it is that he has something to hold above the head of the Sharmas and control them with.

The specifics of what the MC expected their father to do will be decided by the player. But in all versions the MC definitely knew that their father would not just leave them to rot in jail cause well, uhm, he's their dad.

Do ROs have a romantic experience? And what about the sexual experience?

M (The Roomate)

In romantic experience, they have been in a few relationships, though nothing major. Maybe about three boyfriends/girlfriends in the past or so.

In sexual experience, they have probably had their fair share of flings. Like they are not an absolute fuckboi or anything, but their sexual partners are in the double digits.

C (The Queen Bee)

C had one very long term romantic relationship that was complicated and ended badly. They have not been in one ever since.

C have been around for a very long time, but they associate sex with love. So while they have an insane reputation because they mess around, they actually have fairly little sexual experience.

A (The One You Almost Killed)

If you choose that you and A were partners, then the MC is all their experience more or less. The two started dating at some point during high school so there was not much place for experimenting outside of that.

Otherwise, A have had like lots of flings cause that was their way of rebelling back in high school. So they have plenty of sexual experience, but only like one or two romantic experiences.

L (The Guardian Angel)

L had one or two romantic relationships, but circumstances stopped them from pursuing deeper romance overall.

L has a bit more experience in sex. They have been around for like forever and where they are from sex is not looked down upon. So they have had plenty of one night stands situations.

So the father gets MC out of trouble on his own, without consulting anyone? Would there be options to get angry at it because even if MC can't remember what happened or how, they wanted to deal with it fair and square? Like... the idea of escaping justice thanks to connections wouldn't go well for some types of MC. Or even for MCs who won't care about justice but hate how it makes them look in the eyes of people.

But something to keep in mind is that all MCs probably were expecting this. So they can't be surprised, but they can be angry over it nonetheless.

It's kind of a plot point that MC's father? Uhm, not the greatest guy...

Just because I’m a sucker for angsty romance. Does A hate the MC and can the MC stew in extreme guilt over the incident?

Oof, the first one is difficult to answer.

Here is the thing. I don't think A can ever hate MC for what they did to him in the same way he could hate anyone else for doing it. Especially in their romance route, the MC is just such an ingrained part of their being that to hate them is to hate themselves (which they do actually, but that's besides the point).

So, yes, A hates MC, but it's a hate that burdened by a love unspoken and a heart embittered by suffering.

MC can definitely feel guilty over the whole thing and just miserable. In fact, I feel like all MCs feel a bit guilty because, even outside of the ex route, they have canonically known A since they were in diapers so they have a lot of memories for them. But every MC will respond to the event differently and express different level of guilt/express that guilt in different ways.

Also if you want angst, A is the perfect route for you. Like half of it is endless pain for everyone involved.

💗 GROWING HEART - if they have a crush, is it noticable? what changes when they're in love?

M (The Roomate)

Really, really, really obvious. They are pretty much making up the most ridiculous of excuses to hang out with their crush. You know that scene from Mean Girls where Cady pretends not to be good at math to ask her crush for 'help'? Yeah, that's them and no one is buying it.

When they are in love, one of the many things that changes is just how affectionate they are. Like M is always very cuddly, but when in love, they pretty much spend their whole time trailing after their crush like a lovestruck puppy and clinging to them like a koala clinging on a tree. They want to be with them all the time. Like if they could follow them to the toilet, they would.

C (The Queen Bee)

C is not that obvious when they have a crush. Like they are pretty good at hiding their emotions and combined with the fact that they are basically just acting like a tsundere, you most likely will just assume they like hate you while inside they are like "omg, they are so 😍 "

When in love, C basically go through an existential crisis and shut down. Like they will disappear on the other person and avoid them like the plague while they are trying to get rid of their feelings for them. You know the song "I won't say I am in love " from Disney Hercules. Yes that's their anthem.

A (The One You Almost Killed)

A is pretty good at hiding they have a crush. Except for a few flirty comments, you will probably just assume they are being playful at most. You will only know when they decide to tell you (which they will first plan out in great detail).

In the ex lovers route, the MC knows how A acts when in love cause they were in love. Basically A is very playful, very teasing and very supportive. They always do their best to try and cheer up their partner and encourage them to follow their dreams and wants.

L (The Guardian Angel)

Does not show a single hint. Their crush will be 0,5 inches from them and he just stares at them like he is reading the breakfast menu. My man has perfected his poker face. Keep in mind that is mainly because A is on duty. Otherwise they would just walk up to their crush and tell it to them.

L becomes for lack of a better word more open when they are in love. They open up, become more genuine and they like nothing more than to have long conversations with their partner. They just become kinder and sweeter as a whole.

What disabilities does A have from the attack?

After the attack, the doctors had estimated A would never walk again. They were proven wrong on that one since A does manage to walk again.

While they have survived, they have not made a full recovery. Their primary disability comes from their sight. They lost all visibility on their right eye, making them partially blind, and some visibility in their left eye (they can see with it, but their gaze gets more unclear the further away an object is, basically they no longer have field vision).

They are also receiving medication for chronic pain, which is not a disability, but does make their life harder as a whole.

What decorating/clothing styles do you want to be able to choose from?

So, I am currently working on the demo and I am getting to a scene where the MC describes their decorating preferences! Whether they prefer a Boho environment, something full of pink or something minimalist. I want to check if there are any specific styles you all would like to have included in the game!

The same goes for outfits. Some I have included already (preppy, trendy, girly, grunge), but what else kind of fashion trend is there that you all want to see included?

💘 HEART W/ ARROW - what traits do they look for in a relationship? do they believe in love at first sight?

M (The Roomate)

M wants someone who can match their energy. Not necessarily in the physical sense (cause they are a never-ending ball of energy so you really can't compare), but in the sense that they want someone to go on adventures with. They see the world as an endless oyster of opportunities and they want to be with someone who will share their enthusiasm for new experiences and experimentation.

M kind of believes in love at first sight. Like they are not 100% sure, but they believe in true love and the idea that you can fall in love at first sight. Just that it's somewhat rare.

C (The Queen Bee)

C wants someone who will worship the ground they walk on. Deep down, they are very insecure about people leaving them so they want constant verbal reassurance that they are loved and cared for. They want their partner to show they care and they will do the same in return.

C once believed in love at first sight. They experienced it once and it did not turn out well. They only consider it a delusion nowadays.

A (The One You Almost Killed)

A wants someone to accept them. They know they are not perfect. They know they are flawed. They just want someone to care for them without wishing to change them. They love their partner exactly as they are and that's what they want on return too.

They don't believe in love at first sight. They think it's kinda cute, but also silly. To them, love at first sight is basically just lust at first sight cause you need time to truly build love.

L (The Guardian Angel)

L wants someone who will try to understand them. They have many, many issues that they need to work on before they let someone in. They want someone who will allow them that time to take things slowly, not to jump straight in.

L does believe in love at first sight. He however dislikes it because he considers it to be a trick of God to encourage two people to reproduce with each other and he does not like tricking people (unless he is doing the tricking).

Progress Report Update

Did not get as much work done as I wanted to because I took a five hour nap lmao. But know that progress is being made.

I am probably about 1/3 through the prologue or so. Little hint: MC is no longer in jail (being a nepobaby has its benefits).

🌋 VOLCANO - how bad is their temper? is it a slow boil, or a instant explosion?

M: instant explosion. Cannot keep their cool to save their lives. They actually have anger management issues that they are going to therapy for.

C: instant explosion. C has a really bad temper and does not take kindly to insults. They may not bite back at once, but they will definitely do it eventually and when they do, it's going to fucking hurt.

A: slow boil. A is very good at stewing in their anger and resentment so they hold it in even when it's not healthy. I feel it says a lot about their character, that despite being almost killed and permanently disabled by the MC, they don't go after them unless the MC directly puts themselves in their path.

L: okay so it is an interesting case because L is a slow boil, but only because of external reasons that are going on during the story. Like when left unchecked, they are absolutely an explosion waiting to happen, but because they are on duty for the duration of our story, they are holding themselves back.
