I have been praying to God over many things. People are so deceived. Satan is playing our country, our leaders and politicians, like puppets. Everyone is filled with fear and anger, all emotional and very little reason. The Bible is either ignored or being used as a tool to misguide people to do things in the "name of God" which are not according to His will. So, I pray for His wisdom and strength, to have faith in Him, and turn away from worldly rhetoric.

Good Morning!☀
For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. Psalms 18:28
Has your light gone out? Has your life grown so dark you can no longer see your way? Are you wondering if things will ever get better?
Even Christians despair at times. This happens when we allow the darkness to block the light. We fail to keep God's word in the forefront of our thoughts, providing the light we need:
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light into my path. Psalms 119:105
We neglect prayer and praise, hindering the flow of God's light to us:
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Luke 18:1
God is light, and in him is no darkness. (1 John 1:5) He brings light to your dark times. He causes your light to shine and guide others. Just as he lit David's candle, he can keep your light burning bright!

As part of the family of God, we are told to clothe ourselves in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (Col 3:12) It’s like wearing a particular brand of clothing… soon enough people will begin to recognise you for what you wear. When we are kind, gentle, humble and patient we display the fruit of the Spirit. People can see Jesus in us. We then tend to value and esteem others above ourselves.
Our ‘position’ as Christians should never cause us to think we are above anyone else, but rather it awakens within us the ability to support, help and shoulder the burden of others, bring hope in heartache, peace in fear, help in time of need, and ultimately the life giving power of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to a hungry and thirsty world.

It is necessary to stand strongly up to harmful and destructive systems where there should be love...even if it is personally disappointing of who/where you see it coming from. Most of your reactions will come from disbelief ("Wow I cannot believe you got caught up in that.") It is hard to watch, I understand.
But scripture tells us to be steadfast and unmovable. It is something that will take time and refining to accomplish.
Once you get it...with firm love, you will be able to still speak and stand for what's right even if the odds are not in your favor.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the greatest person ever to walk the face of the earth. He was our greatest example in all things pertaining to godliness'. His love was expressed to all people and it overflowed towards them.
He was just as concerned about individuals, as He was with the crowds. Jesus mingled with all people from every class and social status.
Jesus did not hold any prejudices. He ate with sinners, immoral people and tax collectors, yet never lowered His standard of godliness - He met people where they were. When he met the woman at the well, He said, leave your life of sin. When He meets us at the point of our need He also gives us the grace and raises us up to His standard. He loves us too much to leave us the way we are.
And the Lord--who is the Spirit--makes us more and more like Jesus as we are changed into His glorious image. 2 Corinthians 3:18

Good Morning!☀
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalms 18:2
David faced many battles throughout much of his life. Having first been in favor with King Saul but falling out of his favor as Saul's jealousy of David dominated his life, David found himself on the run and having to defend himself from Saul and those aligned with him.
David's years of shepherding and all that it involved helped him develop trust in God and his provision. In Psalm 18 David gives thanks and praise to God after obtaining rest from all his enemies and is now king himself. He shares all the ways God supported and sustained him.
In Jesus, God reveals himself and his love for us all the more. Through Him, we have forgiveness, eternal life, and access to God in a much more intimate way than even David could experience. As God the Father was David's rock, so now is Jesus, God the Son, the rock on which we now stand. As the old hymn says:
On Christ the solid rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand.

“Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.” But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.”
— 1 Peter 3:13-17 (NIV)

🚩 Sin will always take you farther than you wanted to go!
- (Dig Deeper: Judges 16:1-20)
Samson's will was finally broken by the constant enticements of Delilah - (v.15-17)
Sin is the Christian's worst possible experience. It's far worse than pain or suffering or even death itself. We are weak and sometimes we fail. But let's never be afraid to come to our Father with our appeal for forgiveness. The tragedy is that all around us, enemies are waiting for us to fall. They want to point at us and say, "See, that Christian failed." But we can come back before the Lord and ask Him for His forgiveness, and He will grant it to us. God will have mercy on us. "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Acts 2: 21) One of the greatest encouragements of the Christian life is that God forgives and restores. Are you living with unconfessed sin? Avoid God's chastening. Confess your sin and ask for His forgiveness.
— Warren W. Wiersbe
"It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life."
— 1 Thessalonians 4: 3-7 (NIV)
