Youkai Watch’s first permanent official shop “Yorozumart” opening on October 23rd in Tokyo, Toyosu!

Namco and the entertainment corporation, BIG FACE, which both are part of the “Youkai Watch Manufacturers Committee” have joined forces in order to open an official Youkai Watch store called “Yorozumart” (just like in the games) at Tokyo’s Lalaport, which is located in Toyosu, on October the 23rd. Becoming the first permanent Youkai Watch shop.

Right now when it comes to speciallized Youkai Watch stores, there are only limited-time event shops and so this new store, Yorozumart, will be responsible for transmitting this work to all the fans worldwide. When it comes to the establishment’s structure and interior design, of course, it will be full with the store’s original merchandise and the official shop’s product collections. More information about the store and merchandise, will be released later on.

More Animal Crossing amiibo

Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival has been dated in Japan for 21 November priced at ¥6,480. The first set of Animal Crossing amiibo hit retail on that same date with a second set announced for 17 December. The second set includes Futa (Blathers), Foucault (Celeste), Mr. Reset (Mr. Resetti) and Shank (Kicks). All amiibo cost ¥1,296 and more pictures below!

I just got a Japanese 3DS this week and I’ve been playing Happy Home Designer in Japanese... but I TOTALLY forgot to check out the badge center! MAN! I need to do this!

Latest 3DS Badges

This week’s Collectible Badge Center update sees all new badges from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (eight total panels), two panels featuring the Rhythm Tengoku Girls, one Heartbreak Bear, the first Swapnote Nikki badges in four months, two more in the pixelated non-game series, the fifth set of Baito badges (one free for each ¥90 spen and two free goes. Phew! More pictures after the bump!

I just got this in the mail last night and it is almost 3 inches thick! It looks like a phone book! :)

Tons of details, and makes me super excited to meet more villagers to unlock more stuff.

The official trailers and reviews didn’t really show much of the game besides catching Yo-kai and fighting the goofy comedy relief boss Nobose-Tonman so I’m gonna show some of the other things Yo-kai Watch has; mini games, actual boss fights, more about Terror Time, cutscenes / story, and more~

Zio on Interesting Yokai

With the English trailer and demo for Yo-kai Watch out now, there’s been some talk about how the Yokai/monsters of the game looks ugly and lame. And yeah they mainly showed off the weaker ones you see in the beginning of the game lmao. 

Anyways below are more examples of Yokai you’ll be seeing throughout the series. (Note: few of them are from the second game)

Here’s some of the weaker Yokai which you probably seen a few of them in the trailer/demo

There’s lots of cats and more are still being made in newer games

…There is also quite a lot of recolors

Some Yokai are more human-like

And more examples of the stronger Yokai

A bit of the boss Yokai, not to spoil too much lmao

Bit more info:

Certain Yokai can be evolved to stronger ones

Certain Yokai can be fused with another Yokai or item to become a stronger one

Some Yokai are based off of actual mythological Yokai (Kappa, Kyuubi, etc), others are original

Yokai cannot be seen by humans without a Yokai Watch (There’s few other human characters that can see Yokai naturally)

Every Yokai can talk and speak (even the animal-like ones)

Yokai medals are used to summon, or call Yokai. Until then, the Yokai minds its own business, doing whatever (Medals don’t STORE Yokai. They aren’t Pokeballs.)

In game, each Yokai can inspirit (basically possessing) other Yokai, either giving them boosts or bad effects 

Each Yokai has their own signature attack with unique animations (Example: Jibanyan uses Paws of Fury)
