The Newport Historical Society’s Resource Center Rehabilitation Project at its 82 Touro Street headquarters building is progressing steadily. Work is transitioning from the outdoor space to the interior. NHS staff members have been packing and moving collections items to be safely housed during the renovation. As a result, the Historical Society has temporarily closed research access to its library and collections. The Society plans to reopen in the late winter/early spring 2015.

During this transition, the Historical Society suggests utilizing the following online resources, visiting the Museum of Newport History, which is open daily, and other Newport institutions.
