I was just watching a slightly silly show about UFO's, and they showed one of the Navy videos from an FA-18 squadron, which got me thinking...how would the Daggers (including Mav) handle something like that? Would they all go have silent drinks at the Hard Deck and try to reason away what they saw? Or maybe they all end up in Mav's hangar and each come up with a crazier explanation than the last? I think first they go to the Hard Deck for the silent drinks, and then they end up at someone's house, slightly tipsy, for the crazy explanations conversation!

Keep calling it Denali. The original name before it was Mount McKinley. Don’t let the Indigenous Peoples/First Nations be erased.

It may sound stupid and petty. But it is an attempt to rewrite history and make us forget the origins. It is a literal white washing of history. This type of censorship is a beginning to greater evils.

i was thinking about how sweet and full of hope the christmas episode was; and that got me to wondering about what a valentine's day special would look like: featured on ted lasso. how would they focus on the concept of love —the many rooms it occupies in our hearts — even if we might try to deny it? love is a vendetta against cynicism; and that's something i think the show would enjoy exploring.

would they show ted & michelle taking henry out for a simple dinner — a faint bitterness still between them due to dr. jacob: but all that being put to the side for henry's sake? because that's what you do when you love your son. would they have rebecca invite nora and sassy on a trip with the pilot and his daughter; sassy and nora filling him in on all of rebecca's silliest moments — because love means community; joining the events and people of your life into one. would we see jamie blow off a hot date to visit roy and phoebe to watch a cheesy rom-com instead — because love means showing up for your friends? would we witness sam wanting to open ola's free of cost for karaoke & open mic for anybody alone on the 14th — because love means providing a safe space for people who need it. would keeley throw a massive party with only herself in attendance —snacking on chocolate and wine & every single thing she likes to eat; without guilt — because love means savoring your own selfhood and individuality? would nate and beard end up in an awkward double date with jade and jane —clearly uncomfortable but still wanting to be in each other's presence: because love means inconveniencing yourself for the people you care about. would higgins take his wife to the bar where they met for the very first time — because love is memory shared between two people across a lifetime spent together. would trent invite colin to a gay bar right in the city — because colin is no longer afraid of his sexuality; and he chooses to go and spend the night dancing with trent and getting to know the people of his community being their best, most brightest selves — because love is about being unafraid?

we are defined by the quality of our relationships. we should listen to what love has to tell us — what it asks of us with all of our being. and i think ted lasso would do that beautifully.
