Can we take a moment to appreciate how amazing of a person Mary is. She is every step child’s dream 😊

This was the moment that Anthony realised that he would never get to have the last word with her, or the upper hand in any sort of relationship he would have with her, for that matter 😂😂

I find it so ironic that he was constantly trying to charm kate while he was supposed to be winning over Edwina. Also, If someone can read this and not immediately swoon, they are probably dead inside 😂

This man was whipped soo long before he realised it. I can literally picture him asking Kate’s opinion on the smallest things, after they get married 🥰

Is it just me, or is Lady Whilstledown so full of wisdom. You could’ve never guessed that she’s a teenager. If only she was there to tell me this when I was going through my teenage years 😅

This perfectly sumps up their relationship and how they fell about each other 😍

The fact that they were so invested in finding out more about each others fears, and helping the other overcome it, is why their relationship is so meaningful ❤️❤️

I CAN’T. 😢 Anthony Bridgerton is a lovable idiot. But an idiot nonetheless 😂

This is the funniest moment of the book. That bee died a heroic death. Anthony probably thanked it every night in his prayers, for creating the opportunity for him to marry kate 🤣🤣

I’m certain that Anthony has the emotional intelligence of a toothbrush. Thank god kate was there to knock some sense into him 😂

So I have seen a lot of people bringing up the fact that I’d show!Violet instantly accepts Sophie, while she initially rejected Siena, as a part of the family for Benedict, it would look hypocritical. I realize that maybe they might have a point. Show!Violet was strictly against Siena and Anthony getting together so I feel like if she accepted and loved Sophie from the get-go, it would be weird but also the fact that Anthony might have some animosity.

Also, speaking of Siena/Anthony shippers, I really hope they don’t hate on Simone Ashley or Kate for getting together with Anthony. I don’t want Simone to go through racist hate 😰

Actually, I don’t think that Show!Violet’s attitude towards Siena is irreconcilable with the support she showed Sophie in the book (and eventually on the show).

Violet knew that what Anthony felt for Siena was lust bordering on obsession, not love. This is why she was against the idea of the two of them together. She realised that her oldest was procrastinating on finding a wife and someone with whom he could actually share his life by chasing after Siena. Violet opposed this relationship because it was not a healthy one. And not because Siena wasn’t part of the ton. Her birth has nothing to do with Violet’s opposition to their relationship.

Meanwhile, Violet immediately noticed that Sophie and Benedict genuinely loved each other. Which is why she was reluctant to let Sophie go, and later endeavoured to find her way for her son and her former maid to get married. She would’ve 100% done the same for Anthony and any of her kids, had they actually fallen in love with a working class person. Had he and Siena actually fallen in love, Violet would’ve accepted and supported Anthony’s choice. But that was very much not the case, hence Violet’s insistence that Anthony find someone more suitable.

So no, Violet Bridgerton is not a hypocrite for disliking Anthony’s relationship with Siena and then supporting Benedict and Sophie. She can, however, tell love and obsession apart.

At least to me, the difference between Santhony and Benophie is immense and pretty obvious.

Anthony being too attracted to Kate is so great!!!!! I'd love some headcannons about Anthony with Charlotte and Mary.

I have done a little on this topic already here buuuuut I’m a sucker for Anthony as a father so here’s a few more.

Anthony was happy to admit, he felt fairly confident in his abilities as a father by the time Charlotte was born, he loved his sons even if he did privately ache for a little girl who was a perfect copy of Kate. He was working up the courage to ask Kate if maybe she’d want another baby when she beat him too it, They’d been in the park, Edmund toddling along on his tricycle, Miles in a carrier strapped to Anthony’s back when, Kate who’d been taking a video of their son from the bench marched over to him, stood on her toes and said Let’s have another one in his ear. A year later, Charlotte Edwina Bridgerton is born and Anthony realised he had absolutely no idea what he was doing.

He should have realised that getting his wish for a tiny little Kate Bridgerton would throw his life into absolute chaos. Charlotte’s mother, he reasoned privately, was an absolute menace and he should have realised that his daughter would be just the same. And yet, it makes him beam with pride whenever anyone mentions the similarities between his wife and daughter saying I know, isn’t it amazing

He knows that Kate goes out of her way to make sure Charlotte and Mary spoil Anthony, though she’d never admit it. He spent time with the boys, making sure they dote on their mother, doing drawings, baking cakes, all for Kate. And the first time Charlotte bounds into his office with a little crown made out of daisy’s her curly hair bouncing, her little voice trilling through the office Daddy I made you something pretty! Anthony has tears in his eyes and he wears the daisy crown for the rest of the day.

Kate proudly admits that one of her favourite things Anthony does with their daughters is dance with them. Every time music is playing Anthony drops into a deep bow in front of one of them saying dramatically Miss Bridgerton, May I have the honour of this dance? And he spins them around the floor one after the other as the girls giggle wildly.

Absolutely loving the Bridgerton and Sons AU and I love the fact that Kate helped out Gregory without wanting to disturb Anthony. That was so sweet and perfect characterisations of their relationship. It made me think- just humouring myself here, not a request or anything- that because Anthony's in Mayfair, all the Bridgerton siblings will randomly crash his place to stay over night or pop in. Which irritates him to know end, especially when he expects to be alone with Kate. Have a fab week!

Kate and Gregory is my favourite dynamic of Kate and all the Bridgerton siblings, and I don’t doubt that she loves them all very much but I think Gregory and Hyacinth probably have a special place in her heart given that they were still quite young when she married Anthony. I was very nervous to write this one (and in fact this whole AU to be honest) because I love their story so much and I wanted to do it justice. 

Ahh Anthony and Kate’s house has become a real hub for the Bridgerton family, and no one ever knocks. You didn’t ask for it, but let me bother you with some headcanons on the matter under the cut because the ended up being real long

Before Anthony and Kate started dating, Anthony’s house was nice. He had an interior decorator buy and arrange the furniture so it looked straight from the pages of a magazine. Violet would often tut around the kitchen when she was there at his use of the word home because it was beautiful but impersonal. When Kate moves in (and even before) bringing her collection of novelty mugs and throw cushions, and Violet sees how Anthony happily looks around at his living room with the curtains that don’t really match the sofa or the intricately patterned rug Kate liked so much Violet kisses her son on the cheek and whispers “Now this is a home.” 

Anthony is constantly annoyed by the way his siblings keep dropping in on a Saturday morning. He just wants to make Kate breakfast in bed (he’s quietly optimistic of what this romantic gesture may earn him) and bloody Benedict keeps appearing in his kitchen where he’s flipping pancakes and saying “Kate still in bed?” , Anthony nods scowling and always finds Benedict lounging on his side of the bed as he whines and complains that he still can’t find the love of his life the mysterious Sophie from Daphne’s wedding. Anthony kisses Kate on the top of the head and hisses “Well you won’t find her in bed with my fiancée so get lost!” Kate scolds Anthony when she gets round to it much much later in the day.

During Kate’s maternity leave and the later part of her pregnancy Anthony comes home nearly every day to find her and Colin, in the kitchen, cooking something. Anthony keeps coming home early to surprise her and finds himself very annoyed one day to come home at 3pm carting the antique crib he’d had Aunt Billie send him from Kent, to find it overshadowed by Colin’s crème brûlée. Anthony scowls at Colin but Kate looks so happy as she eats it, glowing with happiness that Anthony’s annoyance is of short duration. 

Daphne drops by the least. Not because she doesn’t care but because, Honestly she was the first to settle out of any of the siblings so she has her own home and husband to annoy. That being said, She has an uncanny knack for knowing when Anthony is ... in the middle of something with Kate. At least she knocks.  “It’s probably Daphne.” “She can wait out on the stoop Kate.” “She’s your sister and she’s seven months pregnant.” Anthony scowls at Daphne through the entire morning tea.

Eloise seems to take up residence on his couch. Edwina in tow. Both of them. All the time. Kate loves her sister more than anything, and he knows it, so he doesn’t complain that Friday nights are generally reserved for cocktails with Edwina and Eloise. e always serves the drinks. Eloise raises her eyebrows the first time she enters the Kitchen and sees Anthony, cocktail shaker in one hand, bottle of gin in the other, little half apron tied around his waist.  “Don’t tell Colin.” is all Anthony says. She tells Colin.

Francesca is rarely in London. She’s a busy actress and spends 9 months of the year filming Kilmartin up in Scotland, and the rest usually filming in the USA. So it doesn’t really make much sense for her to have a house there. But even so, it smarts to stay with Violet, she’s an adult after all. Frankie raises her eyebrows much as Violet did the first time she stays at Anthony’s after Kate moves in, huffs quietly and says  “However did you convince Anthony to let you keep a dog on the sofa? He wouldn’t let us get one as kids.” Kate smirks and says, in reply “Anthony knows who my favourite boy is.”

Gregory practically lives at Kate and Anthony’s. They jokingly call the spare room he sleeps in, Gregory’s room. When he first moves out of Violet’s Kate worries about him, almost as much a Violet does. Anthony privately thinks she really needn’t, the amount of times he’s invited to dinner and then stays the night because it gets too late, Anthony doubts Gregory’s kitchen has even been used, But he loves seeing Kate with his family so he never complains.

Hyacinth is still very young when Anthony and Kate get together, Anthony often finds Kate helping Hyacinth with her homework (both he and Kate are aware that Hyacinth needs no help but she asks so Kate does). Hyacinth is just as welcome at their house as any of the others, and Anthony finds himself unable to be angry when Hyacinth bursts into the Sheffield family brunch one day, running straight to Kate, crying quietly because she and Felicity have had a fight. Mary and Edwina both look startled but Mary catches Anthony’s eye with a knowing look and whispers quietly “it’s nice that your family feels so at home here.” Anthony replies with a gruff grunt. Not trusting himself to keep the tears from falling were he to open his mouth
