You, who caught the stars
in your horns
and braided them into your
perfectly white hair:
do you still taste that forbidden
fruit on your tongue?

I do not kneel before my lord and savior Lucifer, the bringer of light, because he despises submission.
He will not ask of me to leave my pleasures behind to serve him.
He will not ask me to suffer to honor him.
He will not ask me to humiliate myself on his behalf
He will not encourage me to submit myself to no one.
He will not ask me to follow him blindly.
He will not tell me what to do.
He will not lead me to suppress the dark parts of my being.
He won't have me pretending to be pure goodness.
Lucifer encourages me to be myself, to do as I please as long as I respect the autonomy of the other, to love and hate in equal measure, to enjoy my pleasures and my poisons and to fight for the sovereignty of my own being.
Yes, I am a Luciferian.

Le Genie du Mal ("The Evil Genius" or "The Genius of Evil") by sculptor Guilliame Geefs depicts fallen angel Lucifer with a tortured expression, in chains, carrying a crown and one half of a broken scepter. Other details include the bitten apple at his clawed feet, as well as the other half of his scepter. This work of white marble currently resides in St. Paul's Cathedral in Belgium.
