funny how the way characters are written can affect reading experience, esp since im usually quite lenient when it comes to mischaracteriziation

but just read two fanfics, and in both the same character was ooc - the only difference was that in one all their bad traits were seemingly gone, in the other they were too exaggerated (would even go as far as to call it character bashing)

and for some reason had worse time reading the one where the bad traits were too much, and i dont even like the character (they were supporting cast in both)
