MEETING MR. SON

(Note: Mr. Son is BTS’ Choreographer!)

I met Mr. Son previously in the year as I went to his workshop and there I have heard some things about the boys and thought I’d share.^^

1) It takes BTS only two days to learn a new choreography and only one week to show it to the public. Because they’ve practised a lot in the past, they learn quicker now. 2) Namjoon had a problem with the 3:33 move in Fire. He was moving his entire body and apparently looking like a fish out of the water the first time he tried it. But now he’s mastered it! 3) Namjoon needed five days to learn Danger by himself. 4) Jimin is okay. God bless. He’s eating well and he doesn’t have any health problems atm. 5) (MR. SON MOCKED JIMINS FACIAL EXPRESSIONS DURING 3:33 LMAO) 6) Mr. Son said that Hoseok is the best dancer out of the group and that he sometimes helps Mr. Son with choreography moves. He always keeps Mr. Son’s place sometimes and teaches/helps the members and takes care of the performance. #AppreciateAndLoveHoseok 7) Mr. Son said that he chose BigHit out of pride. He didn’t want the other big companies although they called him plenty of times. He said he’s never going to leave Bighit. 8) Bighit and Mr. Son have put their all into creating BTS and making them what they are today, aka a good performance group. Mr. Son said that although he’ll manage more groups in the future, BTS are still going to remain the most dutiful students and the students he’s most attached to. 9) Mr. Son is a perfectionist. He said that the INU choreography was still lacking even after many days of working. He was still happy that it looked fine to the public, in spite of his perspective on it being the other one. He thanks the boys for working hard and following his orders well though. 10) BTS are so busy nowadays that they practise quick when they can and barely talk to the choreographer outside of comeback speaking.

You said that bangtan is extremly overworked right? Is that in relation to the schedule of other groups? Shouldn't they be similar? Since I only follow bangtan this closely, I wonder What's the difference between their schedule and the schedule of other groups

I wouldn’t say extremely… but to some extent they are. And if I’m being honest I don’t know much about other groups as well. For me, all groups work really really hard no matter what. But Bangtan is in a situation wherein they’re the group in their company that earns the most and is most marketable. And of course they have to take advantage of this popularity to get to establish Bangtan well in the industry. But nonetheless here are a list of things that tells me how Bangtan works harder than most groups:

For one, I don’t know any other group who does two comebacks every album. Bangtan has been doing that since debut, they just stopped during RUN ERA. 

No other group is in 4 KCON destinations this year.

The longest time in between Korean albums is 8 months. And even then, before the HYYH Era, Namjoon released his mixtape in the middle of it.

They have Japanese albums in between, which also translates to all the MVs they film and all the photoshoots they take. All the songs they have to record in Japanese. All the showcases they fly to Japan for all these albums.

They have Japanese versions of their Korean albums. They also have a showcase for these albums and fanmeets and concerts.

They had to film Rookie King, American Hustle Life, Namjoon with Problematic Men in between preparing for new albums.

Asia tour in 2014 (5 countries), World tour in 2015 (8 countries, 12 cities) and another Asia tour now in 2016 (6 countries, 9 cities even while doing KCON at the same time).

As of now, they have 2 trilogy albums (School trilogy and a repackage and HYYH ERA) and one full album (Danger). I might be forgetting an album here haha.

In between they’ve managed to participate in ISAC 2014, ISAC 2015 Chuseok and ISAC Lunar New Year 2016. In 2015 and 2016 they’ve won gold for the Relay category. Suga won Gold for Basketball.

Filming and travelling for DVD/Photobooks like NOW series, Summer Package Series, Season’s Greetings Series.

All the other show guesting, album collaborations, radio shows, magazine interviews/photoshoots and endorsements.

All their songs have insane choreography. They compose and write their own songs. All their cover songs and predebut songs. All the bangtantv and v app videos.

And even all through that, Seokjin attends college and Jungkook attends High School. Taehyung is also currently filming for Hwarang in the middle of Album prep (Young Forever) and Asia Tour for HYYH Epilogue.

Most importantly, Bangtan is only a 3 years going on 4 in the kpop industry and they’ve done all that already. I can also attest to all these because I’ve been closely following their activities for almost 2 years now, and I’m exhausted too.

3 and 4

Shane Acker’s movie, ‘9′. I was watching it again and I didn’t realize how much I love the twins named 3 and 4. So I just decided to write a Yoongi/Jin fanfic (Where Jin has a twin aka himself. Lmao) 

Namjoon laughed as he watched the twins observe Yoongi.

“Um…Are they okay?” Yoongi nervously laughed.

“Yeah, it’s just that they’ve never seen anyone else except me.”

“What are their names?”

“Well, actually they can be called ‘3’ and ‘4’. But their names are actually S- Woah!” Namjoon chuckled as the twins ran behind him, hugging onto Namjoon tightly and peeked at Yoongi. “Their names are actually Seokjin and Jin.” Namjoon smiled at the both of them and then nodded his head that the stranger he brought was okay.

They both looked at Yoongi and gave a small shy smile. Yoongi awkwardly waved at them and showed his gummy smile.

In an instant, their faces lit up and they ran towards Yoongi.

“Boys, be care-” Namjoon sighed, it was already too late.

Yoongi laughed as the twins inspected every inch of his body, from his legs to his face. Seokjin played with his fingers, while Jin was poking him everywhere.

“Hi there.” He smiled. The twins smiled at him too, in fact, they really love his smile.

“I can see you’re insp-” Small hands interrupted Yoongi as they stretched the corners of his mouth. Namjoon chuckled at the sight. The twins were fascinated by Yoongi’s gummy smile.

“Guys, that’s enough. He looks uncomfortable.” Namjoon coughed. The twins looked at Yoongi then back to Namjoon and slowly backed away. A wave of shame and guilt washed over their faces.

Yoongi felt bad for them. “Wait, no. It’s okay, look.” Yoongi smiled again, this time stretching the corners of his mouth too and in an instant the boys’ faces lit up.
