I pray that you are written to be with someone who is humble, who respects you, who you can trust, who will make you want to be your best self, who will never leave you questioning if you’ve made the right choice, and most importantly who will make you feel safe and at peace.

Some tips for those of you who are protesting just to stay safe. Please remember to cover all of your tattoos, piercings, and really any recognizable features you may have. Turn your location off so no one can track you and have atleast two written emergency contacts.
If the police begin utalizing tear gas use a combinatio of 3 teaspoons of baking soda for every 8.5 ounces of water.
For pepper spray use water to flush your eyes and dawn dish soap and water to help wash your face and skin.
For either of these GO HOME WASH OFF AND CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES as soon as you are able to get out. If you have respiratory issues bring an inhaler or whatever medication you need to assist you.
***edit: please feel free to add more tips and make sure to read the comments for helpful additions and if you know the artist who made these panels please let me know so I can properly credit!
***edit part 2: I’m blocking everyone who is making negative comments. I made this post so that people have a thread of safety tips readily available for them and fight for justice. I will not stand for your racist attitudes.

“Avoid people who mess with your head. Avoid people who intentionally and repeatedly do and say things that they know upset you. Avoid people who expect you to prioritize them but refuse to prioritize you. Avoid people who can’t and won’t apologize sincerely. Avoid. Avoid.”

Yes, sometimes pain comes unexpectedly. But sometimes joy does too. When you let things flow and learn to release control, you find everything falling exactly where it’s supposed to.

A great advice by Ibn Rajab (رحمه الله)
If you don’t have the ability to compete with the righteous in deeds, compete with the sinners in seeking Allāh’s (ﷻ) forgiveness.

Ibn Rajab al-Hanbalī رحمه الله stated:
"Some of the righteous people, would keep a piece of paper in their pocket and would open the paper, to look at it every hour and that which was written on the paper was:
'So be patient with your Lord’s decree, for you are truly under Our watchful Eyes.'"

“Sometimes Allaah removes everyone from you so it’s just you and Him. It can be hard to comprehend that at first, but that’s why that first prostration when in despair is actually so blissful.”
