MARCH 22ND | 08:57
You hadn’t seen Yoongi again ever since you left Hoseok’s house last Sunday morning, but you did text him more than you ever had before. It still wasn’t saying much, since the man didn’t really seem fond of texting in the first place, but he still checked in on you, asked your opinion about something for his novel, and asked you to come over to help with his class on Tuesday.
If only that was enough to quiet your anxieties about being in front of him again.
You didn’t know if things would be awkward, how you’d both react to being together at the university after all that’s happened these past couple of weeks. Which is why your initial plan was to come in twenty minutes early, with the excuse of helping him set up for the lecture and you’d have time to talk to him in the privacy of his empty classroom.
That plan was damped, of course, by your ride.
Since you didn’t have a car, nor did you know how to drive either, you depended on Jungkook to drive you this morning. He was taking that class with Professor Min, and he never denied driving you anywhere you needed to go. But your cousin had the terrible habit of always being late. And, even though you could just walk to campus, it had been raining ever since last night, with no signs of stopping any time soon.
It was the perfect weather for sleeping in, according to your lovely dongsaeng, who decided to slumber a little more than he should, despite your nagging and heavy banging on his door.
By the time you made it into class, you had three minutes to spare and a good chunk of students were already inside and taking their seats, waiting for the clock to turn to nine o’clock and the lecture was set to start.
“Good morning, Professor Min.” you greeted the man as soon as you walked up to his desk in the front of the classroom.
“‘Morning, Miss Yn.”
Maybe being late was a blessing in disguise afterall.
Yoongi always looked really good any time of the day, everyday. But this morning there was something more there. His black dress shirt was a little tighter than usual, sitting snug against his biceps; the sleeves were already rolled up to his elbows, showing off his veiny arms. His long hair was styled away from his face and out of his forehead, pushed back and gelled on one side.
His pretty eyes were hidden behind the black frame glasses you liked so much.
“You’re wearing your glasses–” you mentioned dumbly, hands holding onto the strap of your backpack.
“Ah, yeah, I woke up a little late today, so I didn’t have time to put my contacts on.” Yoongi avoided your eyes, scratching the tip of his nose with the back of his finger.
It didn’t make much sense to you, how he had time to style his hair like that, shower and get ready to look like this and not have thirty seconds to put in his contact lenses. But then again, you weren’t complaining.
“Good morning, professor!” the chirpy voice of Ari made you walk a little more to the side so she could talk directly to the man. “Hi, Yn-ssi.”
You gave her a small smile, moving to your tiny desk near the windows. It was practically beside Yoongi’s, so you could still have easy access to it, but far away enough so you wouldn’t be in the way of anything. Just like his, your desk faced rows upon rows of students, instead of the white board.
You distracted yourself by taking your notebook out of your backpack, as well as your favorite pen. But you couldn’t stop yourself from listening to the conversation between Yoongi and Ari.
“Oh, professor, I brought more of the apple and cinnamon cookies you liked.” the girl was saying as she opened her purse to retrieve a small plastic container with said cookies, placing it on top of Yoongi’s desk. “It’s the same one I baked for integration week.”
“Ah, thank you. How much do I owe you?” Yoongi started pulling out his wallet from his back pocket, making the girl panic.
“No, no, no! These– Uh, they are a gift! No need to pay me!”
“In that case, thank you, Miss Ari.”
It was a little endearing to you how Yoongi could be so oblivious about people flirting with him in every class. You were used to watching this kind of thing happening on the regular, so you didn’t even bat an eye anymore.
Not that you could blame Ari, or her group of friends waiting for her to sit with them so they could giggle and fan themselves with their books. Yoongi was gorgeous, sweet and smart. You had flirted with him during your first semester too, and –again–, he didn’t notice it. To the point you gave up on it until a few weeks ago, when he started flirting with you too.
“Y– Miss Yn, will you do the report for me today, please?” Yoongi was asking you as he prepared to start his class.
“Of course, professor.”
You rushed to his desk to pick up the book you were supposed to add today’s class report to. It was pretty simple, you just had to write down all the activities done and the subject the professor taught today, barely taking you ten minutes to write it all down. Most days Yoongi did it himself, taking the ten minutes at the end of the class to do it, but whenever he was too busy, he asked you to do it.
The class was split into two halves: First, Yoongi would go over the reading list, answer any student’s questions about the previous class, then start the new subject. You had heard all of that before, when you took this class last semester, but the professor always had interesting things to add, so you always had more to learn.
Not only was he great at explaining all of the nuances of korean literature, focusing on modern twists, his voice was so deep and raspy, and he had a way of pronouncing some words a certain way and–
Your phone started buzzing on the pocket of your pants, breaking whatever trance you were in.
Gguk [09:35]: Noona, you’re drooling.
You [09:35]: Stop watching me and pay attention to class!!
Gguk [09:36]: You’re paying attention enough for the both of us 🥴
“No phone during class, please.” Yoongi’s voice boomed and made you slip your phone between your legs, scared he might be scolding you.
But he was still looking at the students, his back turned to you.
The second half of the class was one that allowed the students to work on their assignments, as well as catch up on the papers they needed to read for the upcoming events and ask questions about things they still didn't quite grasp.
That's where you came in.
As much as Yoongi explained the subjects and gave instructions for the assignments really well, the students seemed to like asking you for help. And you were kind enough to sit with whoever asked for a little bit of time with you, so you could tutor them in whatever they needed.
You had been making your rounds through the lecture room for the past twenty minutes when you seemed to grow a second shadow.
“Come on, noona, me next!” Jungkook was begging you with a whine.
He looked like a lost puppy, tail between his legs and droopy ears. You weren’t mean enough to the point of not helping him with the assignment he had to hand in at the end of the class, but you were making him squirm a little, as your revenge for saying you were drooling over Professor Min.
You were.
But he didn’t have the right to call you out on it when he drooled over Park Jimin every time he saw him.
“Don’t make me tell uncle–”
“Jesus christ, okay, no need to tell my dad!” you turned around so fast you almost collided with your cousin. “Let’s go to your table, go on.”
“Yes! You’re the best!”
“I’m not answering it for you, I’m just helping.”
MARCH 22ND | 11:09
Yoongi never knew himself to be a jealous person. His last relationship had ended years ago and people are supposed to grow with time and not regress, so he didn't know where he could possibly have picked up the green little bug that was bothering right now.
It's not even as if you were in a relationship to begin with, which made the bitterness in his stomach even less justified.
He tried focusing on his job, he really did. But his eyes just seemed to find you, no matter where you were in the classroom.
Yoongi liked how you shared your time between all of the students equally, helping them as much as you could. You were so smart and most of the time you didn’t even even realize it.
It was nice to hear your answers to the questions his students asked, to see your point of view in the subjects he was teaching. And you were so kind too, going over something as many times as you needed to, with patience and calm, to make sure even the slowest students got it.
And then again, there were those students who didn’t seem to leave you alone.
Like Jeon Jungkook.
The professor never had anything against the guy, so he didn’t understand why he kept catching himself scowling at the kid every time you touched his arm or leaned in too close.
Yoongi scoffed quietly, sitting alone by his desk, the laptop he should be focusing on ignored in front of him. Since when was he threatened by another guy? He was pretty sure this never happened before and he didn’t know if this was about you or about his own insecurities making him see things that shouldn’t even be there in the first place.
Was he getting attached to you already?
Or were the many tattoos, piercings and muscles the kid was sporting that made Yoongi second guess himself?
If that’s the kind of guy you were into, Yoongi didn’t stand a chance.
Did he even want a chance?
“You’re overthinking.” your sweet voice brought him out of his reverie, the lines on his forehead dissipating. You were standing in front of him as the many students started to filter out of the classroom.
“Is it eleven already?” Yoongi blinked, searching for the clock at the bottom half of his computer. “Wait, how do you know I was–”
“You have a face.”
“A face?”
You hummed, frowning and crunching your nose, eyes flickering from one side to another as you mimicked what he supposedly looked like. But he doubted he looked that cute.
“Bye, noona. Text me if you need a ride later.” Jungkook was saying as he walked past you and the professor. “See you next class, seonsaeng-nim.”
“Don’t forget to study chapter three, there will be a quiz–”
Yoongi told him and the rest of the students that were still inside the classroom, only now standing up to say goodbye and receive the assignments his students needed to hand in. You had most of them collected already, but people like Ari and her little clique always liked to hand deliver them to the professor themselves.
Everyday after classes, you would move a little slower, stall a little longer, just so you could stay in Yoongi’s dizzying presence a little more, something the man clearly noticed today. As the last student left the room, he closed the door behind them; something Yoongi rarely ever did, which sent a jolt of excitement through you.
When he joined you by his desk again, you didn’t expect that to be the first thing to come out of his mouth:
“So, you and Jungkook-ssi.”
“Ah, yeah, he’s a little annoying but he means well.” you chuckled, holding back a roll of your eyes.
“Is that your type?” Yoongi was trying really hard to keep an impassive stance, to feign nonchalance.
“Huh?”
“Jungkook. With the tattoos and all the muscles–”
“Oh my god.” your laugh made his cheeks burn and his heart pick up its pace in shame.
“That was weird right?” the man started to panic, only now realizing how he sounded. His small laugh was awkward as he tried to fix it: “Sorry, I don't mean anything by that, you can hook up with whoever–”
“Yoongi, let me stop you right there. Jungkook is my cousin.”
You were biting your lip to stifle a new laugh, but Yoongi couldn’t hold his gaze there for long. In fact, he couldn’t even look at you. There were similarities to you and the boy, now that he thought about it; the same round eyes, a similar shape to your lips. But while the guy was tall and buff, you were delicate and pretty. And you didn’t have the same last name, but that was easily explainable too.
“Oh. Ohhh. Uhm.”
“So, no, not my type. At all.” you pointed out and Yoongi felt silly.
Yoongi must’ve been scrunching up his face again, regretting everything he ever said because now he looked like a fool. A jealous fool. He didn't even know why he was so bothered by Jungkook, it’s not like you owed him anything even if the dongsaeng wasn’t related to you.
Maybe if he repeated it one more time he might believe it.
“I thought you knew my type by now.” you started again in an attempt to pull the man back to reality and out of his head.
“Hm?”
“You know the kind.” you shrugged, looking for his eyes with yours. “Smart, nice, funny, gentle.”
“Gentle–”
“And you know I like them a little older, and Gguk is a year younger than me, so even if we weren't related–”
“Do I interrupt?”
Both you and Yoongi jumped at the new voice.
Professor Cho was already inside the room by the time you noticed her; slick red hair combed out of her face and tied in a low bun. She was far away enough for you to believe she probably didn’t hear what you were saying and you hoped you didn’t look suspicious.
“Afternoon, professor Cho.” you bowed to the woman in respect. “I was about to go to your class, just helping the professor  finish off the report.”
“Ah, yes, I always leave it for the last minute and Miss Yn was kind enough to help me.” Yoongi went along with it, even though the report had been done an hour ago. “I’m sorry for holding her hostage.”
“It’s alright, the class is not starting yet. I was even wondering if you’d like to have lunch before? Or after?” the woman waved the air with one hand while using the other to lean over Yoongi’s table and personal space.
Since she obviously wasn’t here for you, and the subject they were talking about didn’t concern you, you kept your head down and fiddled with the assignments the students had worked on today, categorizing them alphabetically.
“I actually have lunch plans…” Yoongi looked at the Rolex on his wrist, a gift from Hoseok, you were sure. “Oh, I'm afraid I’m already going to be late.”
“Ah, a shame. Maybe next time.” the woman fake pouted and her voice sounded much too whiny for a lunch between work colleagues.
Much like Ari, the woman was blatantly flirting with Yoongi and it was going right over his head, which made you want to laugh but you bit your tongue.
“Sure. Oh, since you’re here, let me just–”
Yoongi excused himself for a moment, walking to the row of cabinets at the side of the room, unlocking it with the passcode and looking for something.
“Working hard on the assistant program, I see.” Professor Cho said, making you look at her and not Yoongi’s broad back.
You hummed an agreement. “The extra credits are really important–”
“Maybe if you spent a little more time on your screenplay and less on trivial things, it would start to look a little better.”
You took a sharp breath, not expecting her words to sting as much as they did. It wasn’t news to you that the professor was rough and that she criticized her students more than she praised them. Namjoon seemed to be a big fan of hers, always telling you that that’s how she showed appreciation, that’s how you knew she saw something in you. But tough love wasn’t your favorite style of teaching.
Especially not when she had dozens of bad words to talk about your screenplay and not one of them seemed to be constructive criticism.
Yoongi came back to the table with a book in his hands, handing it over to the woman. You could recognize the cover, it was one of Yoongi’s textbooks; you had the same one in your shelf at your dorm. The redhead took it with a little squeal, opening it instantly to flip through the pages.
“No autograph?” she pouted again, making the man chuckle lightly.
“I didn’t think you’d like me to sign it.”
“Well, of course I do!”
When her shrieks became too much for you, you walked away from them and towards your small desk to gather your things. If you weren’t looking forward to leaving this classroom before, now you really dreaded the idea of spending the next two hours in Professor Cho’s class.
Skipping it was always an option, but something told you it would only give the woman more things to use against you.
After Yoongi reluctantly signed the copy of the book for the woman, he walked her out of the room and you couldn’t hear what they were speaking about, neither did you want to.
Going over every flaw of your screenplay in your head was much too distracting for you to focus on anything else. Which is why you jumped a bit when Yoongi’s hand touched your arm, once he was back and close to you again.
“What’s wrong?” he asked you in a soft voice.
“What do you mean?”
He looked at you as if trying to say you didn’t fool him. His next statement made you laugh: “You have a face.”
“That’s my ‘my screenplay sucks and I don’t know what to do with my life if I don’t make it better’ face.”
“I’m sure it doesn’t suck.” he insisted.
“How would you know?”
“I know because you’re incapable of sucking.”
Not the best choice of words from a literature professor, but it made you giggle.
“Now I’m offended, Professor Min, I thought you liked it.” your innuendo was clear in your words and Yoongi’s face flushed in a second, pretty cat eyes squinting as if trying to say he was attempting to be serious.
“I can take a look at your screenplay if you’d like,” he offered.
“Would you?” you perked up at that.
“Of course.” he nodded and scratched the back of his neck. “You can just come over tomorrow after class and I’ll read it for you.”
“To your place?”
“We can stay in my office if you’re more comfortable with that–”
“I’m fine with going to your place.”
MARCH 23RD | 19:18
Professor Min’s apartment wasn’t so close to campus for you to worry about being seen by peers or faculty, but it also wasn’t far away enough to make you take two buses or the subway.
The rain that had been barely flooding half of Seoul ever since the start of the week was still very much there, only stopping for a couple hours at a time, which meant you were a little past the time Yoongi told you to come over when you knocked on his door.
You had just texted him once you made it to the building and he buzzed you in, telling you to come up to the second floor. D2 was his apartment number, fairly easy to find once you left the elevator.
“Hi.” you greeted him once the door was unlocked and opened, slightly shy.
One thing was to be in his car, at a bar, his office, or even his best friend’s house. But to be in his home like this made you a little nervous. It felt too intimate, too personal. Yoongi was inviting you into his private life, into the space where he kept his things, where he lived.
“Come on in. Did you find the building okay?” he wanted to know, maybe as nervous as you.
“Yeah, there’s a bus stop right down the street from here.”
“Aigo, you took a bus in the rain?” Yoongi’s eyes had a flash of worry in them, as if just now remembering you didn’t drive. “I could have picked you up.”
“It’s okay, Yoongi. You’re already doing me the favor of looking over my screenplay.”
“That’s hardly a sacrifice.”
As you took your shoes off by the door and Yoongi helped you out of your jacket and backpack, there was a slight awkwardness between you. It wasn’t exactly uncomfortable, but this was clearly a first for the both of you. And you didn’t really know what you and Yoongi had at this point, or even if it was something at all. Should you kiss him hello? Give him a hug? Bow in respect? Stand in his hallway while you gawk at his form?
At this point you wanted to do all of the above.
You had never seen Yoongi so casual, always in button downs, blazers and tailored pants. But tonight he was wearing a gray, oversized, Fear Of God shirt, with comfortable, black, cotton pants. His long hair was wet and pushed back and he smelled good. Clearly just out of the shower, you could smell the soft hints of a floral soap and coconut shampoo.
At least you weren’t the only one dressed casually, in your dark jeans and navy blue, long sleeve shirt.
He signaled for you to walk deeper into the apartment and you rose on your toes to leave a small kiss on his face. You aimed for his cheek, but his slight movement made you hit the corner of his lips instead. Your cheeks were tainted pink as you walked in, turning your back on the man and missing his own blushing.
Yoongi cleared his throat as he walked after you, indicating for you to take a left, and said:
“Are you hungry?”
“I haven’t eaten yet.” you nodded.
“Good, dinner is almost ready.” he stated easily.
“You cooked?!”
“I owed you dinner, didn’t I?”
As soon as you stepped into the open plan kitchen, the smell of homemade food hit your nose and you could have moaned right there. You could see a stainless steel stock pot on the stove and Yoongi walked up to it. You watched as he turned the heat to low and lifted the glass lid, using a wooden spoon to stir the contents.
“Is there anything you can’t do?” you asked as you eyed the boiling stew, making him chuckle.
“You’d be surprised.” Yoongi scooped some of the broth with the wooden spoon and blew on it until he deemed it cool enough, offering you a taste. “What do you think?”
Tasting Yoongi’s stew was a heavenly experience. It was full of flavor, not too spicy, and felt like a warm hug on a rainy day. You gave him a thumbs up and he smiled enough for you to see his gums and your heart did a thing.
Coming here tonight, you fully expected to have your work scrutinized, maybe he’d say he agreed with Professor Cho and that you should find another field to work on once you graduated.
And yet, you were being received with a nice, homemade meal and a domesticity you weren’t expecting.
It wasn’t really fair what this man was doing to your heart. Mixed signals and doubts aside, this setting made you wish you could have more. Made you crave this as your future.
But maybe it was the romantic idealist in you.
“Do you need any help?” you offered, deciding that staring at the man wouldn’t do you any better.
“Plates are on the top shelf in that cabinet, can you grab two?”
“Sure.”
Looking around, there wasn’t much you could do to help. All of the dishes and cutlery Yoongi had used to cook the stew were already washed and set aside to dry, and the kitchen was spotless; no splatters, no crumbs. Yoongi was clearly a lot more organized than you imagined –not that you ever imagined him cooking and it was so damn attractive to you.
“Are these ones okay?” you were asking and Yoongi looked over his shoulder and nodded.
There was something surprisingly nice about seeing you moving around in his kitchen, picking up two bowls and bringing it back to him. It was something so simple, but something Yoongi clearly missed. He was a home body at heart, much preferring staying inside over going out into the busy city where there were other people. He was used to hosting dinners for his friends and whenever family came to visit, but he always hated when anyone came into his kitchen.
That was his space, he had a way of liking things done; something he picked up from his mother, he was sure. But he didn’t mind you. It felt comfortable to have you there, wanting to help him, excited about the food he cooked.
Yoongi served the two bowls you gave him, filling yours with more pieces of meat, and he didn’t even need to ask you to bring them to the small dinner table at the corner. While you settled to wait for him, Yoongi grabbed the wine bottle from the fridge and brought it to the table along with two round glasses.
“I think you can pair stew with straight Cabernet, but sometimes blends are more fun.” Yoongi was saying as he served a glass and handed it over to you. “This one is a blend of Merlot and Syrah red grapes.”
“I have no idea what you just said, but you’re so hot right now.”
Yoongi laughed as he sat in front of you, shoulders shaking, the gravelly tone of it making you warm all over.
You didn’t know the first thing about wine, much more used to the cheap concoctions you’d get at the university pubs –mostly the ones created by Jimin–, but the alcohol Yoongi offered you did taste good, and it seemed to match perfectly with the delicious stew he cooked.
The rain had started to pick up outside again, the noise of the drops hitting the windows around you wasn’t too loud, but added to the coziness. The lights in the kitchen and living room were a warm yellow that just added to the coziness.
“I’d ask for the recipe, but I can’t cook to save my life.” you admitted after swallowing another spoonful.
“Really?” that seemed to amuse Yoongi.
“Well, I can cook a mean Shin Ramyun.” you shrugged. “And my second date pancakes are to die for.”
“What are second date pancakes?” he asked with a crooked brow.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” you giggled behind the wine glass as you took another sip. “Where did you learn how to cook like this anyway?”
Yoongi finished chewing before answering you: “We have a family restaurant back in Daegu, so I guess I just grew up in the kitchen.”
“Is that where you’re from?” you asked and he nodded. “When did you come to Seoul?”
“I came here to study when I was eighteen. Wasn’t smart enough to be accepted into SNU though, so I went to a smaller university.” he told you as you nodded to show him you were paying attention.
“That’s where you met Hoseok?”
“Mhm.”
“And you played basketball together?”
That subject seemed to excite Yoongi. He told you about playing in the shooting guard position ever since he was in high school and how he wished he still had time to play nowadays. Yoongi said his eomma still held onto his medals and trophies, as well as many albums with photos from his competitions.
The plan was to play professionally one day, but a shoulder injury caused by a car accident prevented him from furthering a career. Yoongi told you that he had a surgery done on his shoulder a couple years ago, to finally fix the problem, but it was too late to get back to playing seriously at that point, and his plans had changed a long time ago.
“So your dream was to be a teacher, after you couldn’t play anymore?”
Yoongi shook his head, slurping on the rest of his stew. “I don’t think I ever planned on being a teacher, it’s just something that happened. I also don’t think I have a dream.”
“Of course you have a dream! Everybody has one.”
“Not me. I’m not that ambitious.”
Your outraged gasp made him laugh as the professor got up from his chair to bring the empty dishes to the sink. You followed suit, bringing the glasses and your insistence.
“Everyone has a dream, Yoongi. What’s one thing you really want to do?”
“I’m fine with just living comfortably.” he shrugged again, starting to wet the bowls under the sink. “And I have that.”
“There’s a difference between settling and being comfortable.”
“It’s okay, Yn, I’m fine like this.”
You didn’t want to push him, or cross any lines you weren’t supposed to, but you didn’t understand how someone could live without a dream. Without that thing in the back of your mind, giving you the push you needed to try harder and to achieve your goals. So as you stood beside Yoongi, rinsing the soapy dishes after he cleaned them, you asked:
“Amuse me. If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?”
“I’d like to be king.”
“Yoongi.”
“Or maybe a badass rapper–”
“Okay, nevermind.”
One look at your pretty face, all scrunched up and with a pout threatening your lips, Yoongi realized you were actually serious about this. And it’s not like he never entertained the idea of changing his life or trying something else, but his job at the university was secure, it paid the bills and it allowed him to save up for his future.
But the idea of upsetting you, even by something so silly, made him open up and accept his own vulnerability as he said:
“I would like to be a writer.”
“Well, good thing you already are.” you grumbled.
Yoongi turned the faucet off after you were done with the dishes from dinner, handing you a tea towel for you to dry your hands with. He turned his body towards you and let out a small sigh.
“I mean be a full time writer.” he said. “I would like to make a living out of it, not having to stress about deadlines and how to split my time between teaching, grading papers, planning assignments and writing my books.”
MARCH 23RD | 21:36
You never thought sitting on a couch with Yoongi could be so damn nerve wracking.
For the past thirty minutes he’d been reading your screenplay, with his reading glasses over focused eyes and a stoic expression that gave you absolutely nothing. Surely the fifty pages wouldn’t take someone as practiced as him so long to read.
Each time he flipped a page, your heart would skip a beat, so much so you stopped watching him as you noticed him to be almost done.
The screenplay in his hands wasn’t your proudest project by any means, it was the final assignment for Professor Cho’s class, and the one the woman hated more each time you made the changes she asked for. You had the whole semester to work on a short movie screenplay, and while your classmates seemed to be almost done with theirs, the professor never approved of yours.
You were starting to think either A) The professor really didn’t like you, or B) You really were that bad at writing a screenplay.
“Who did all of these corrections in red?” Yoongi asked you as he reached the last page.
“Uh– that’s the last version of it, so the corrections are from professor Cho–” you panicked, picking up your phone from your pocket. “If it’s hard to read I can email you the original draft–”
“No, that’s not– Reading it wasn’t a problem. But I don’t agree with half of what she wrote here.” the professor said as he flipped through the script again, stopping when the red ink notes were too long. “I can see what she means by too much description, because it’s not your job to set the scene so perfectly. This almost feels like a novel, and that’s not a bad thing. But your dialogue is great, and not on a level you would expect of a student so young.”
“So… What you’re saying is it doesn’t completely suck?”
Yoongi chuckled, forehead un-creasing as he sat back to rest against the couch. “Hardly. I found it really good. You really set up the twist at the end beautifully, it caught me completely by surprise.”
You let out a breath of relief, offering him a small thankful smile.
“How did you come up with this? A North Korean defector falling in love with an idol?”
“It sounds weird, but it works, right?” you grinned.
“I thought she was a mermaid half of the time–”
“A friend of mine said the same thing.” you laughed a little harder, shaking your head. “Thank you for reading it, Yoon. And for dinner and everything.”
“You help me all the time, it’s the least I can do.” he let you take your screenplay back and store it inside a folder and slip it into your backpack. “Let me know when you finish writing it, I really want to know how it ends.”
“I’ll let you know once I figure it out.”
The rain outside had picked up quite a bit, so you were thankful for Yoongi not making any moves for you to leave yet, even if he was already done with the reason that brought you to his home in the first place. And it’s not like you were anxious to leave his presence yet either.
You were sitting sideways on the couch, facing the man, with your legs in a criss-cross manner, when you leaned over the center table to pick up your second apple and cinnamon cookie of the night.
“You were right, these are really good.” you told him after a bite.
“Hm. Makes me a bit awkward, though. Miss Ari-ssi never lets me pay for them.”
Your laugh was a little incredulous and made him look at you funny. “You really have no idea, do you?”
“What about?”
“Ari doesn’t want money in exchange for these.” you wiggled your eyebrows, hoping he’d pick up what you were putting down.
“A higher grade? If that’s the case, she should bake you some too, because you always help her with the assignments–”
“Yoongi.”
The man looked at you then, eyes flitting to your lips for a second, then finding your eyes again. You ignored the warmth it sent through you.
“Ari’s way of flirting with you is by giving you baked goods.”
“No it’s not, her friends are always giving me stuff too–”
“You are so cute.” you giggled, pushing the last chunk of the cookie past your lips. “Her friends flirt with you too.”
Yoongi scoffed, not believing your words. He looked so confused, lips forming a thin line that was so characteristically him. You wanted to bite his dumpling cheeks but stopped yourself.
“You flirt with me and you never gave me things like that.” his justification made you laugh and scoot a little closer to him on the couch.
“I just told you, I can’t cook for shit.” you pointed out. “But there are other things I can give you.”
You loved how the atmosphere between you and Yoongi could change like the click of a switch. One minute you were teasing him and laughing and the next minute the living room was filled with a nice tension that brought butterflies to your stomach.
“Yeah?” he asked lowly, having no trouble understanding what you meant now.
“Mhmm.”
You leaned in a little more, licking your lips as you watched his reactions carefully. Yoongi stared at your lips, his own parting unconsciously to lick in between, eyes low and dark.
“Show me.”
And show him you did, climbing onto his lap a second later, legs on each side of his hips. There was no uncertainty in the way you sat over his legs, nor the manner in which his hands rested on your thighs, with a light squeeze that let you know he was as comfortable with this as you were.
Your hands rested on his shoulders as you closed the distance between your faces, but instead of touching his lips with yours, you kissed his jaw. Your mouth traced it with gentle kisses, leaving a path to his ear. Yoongi wasn’t wearing his earrings tonight, which was a shame, but you still licked around his lobe and still gave it a little suck, letting it go when you heard him groaning under you.
Continuing with your kisses, your lips pressed against a pulse point on his neck, feeling him shudder under you. Yoongi could most likely feel your smirk against his skin as you kissed and licked his warm skin, one of your hands slipping to the back of his neck so you could scratch it with your nails.
Yoongi was really easy to read, becoming more vocal each time you did anything together, and you loved to learn things about him. Like the way he liked when you pulled on his hair, which is why you hadn’t done it yet, or how he always growled when you left bites to his neck. Your teeth scraped on his skin, you heard his little gasp, and you went back to kissing it instead.
“You’re driving me crazy here.” he admitted with a little pained chuckle.
“Hm? Do you not like my kisses?”
You sat back, staring at his pretty face and glossy eyes hidden behind his glasses. Min Yoongi looked so fucking sexy in glasses.
“I love your kisses, baby.” the pet name, delivered in such a low tone and scratchy voice, sent a pool of arousal between your legs. “Why don’t you come here and kiss me for real? Hm?”
Reacting to that was a little hard when one of Yoongi’s hands left your thigh to drag up your front, up your stomach, between your breasts, and rest on your collarbones.
“Cat got your tongue?”
You might read Yoongi well, too well from where he was concerned, but Yoongi could see right through you as well. He felt your breath hitch as the tips of his fingers touched the base of your neck, he watched as your lips parted in heavy pants and your eyes became blown out.
“Where’s all the teasing now, pretty?”
Yoongi cocked his head, one corner of his lips lifting in a smirk that made your thighs try to close on him. His hand inched up just a little more, wrapping around your throat and you mewled, turning putty in his hold. He tightened the press of his fingers on the sides of your neck, using his hold to pull you closer to him.
Your lips parted pathetically fast, but Yoongi held you where he wanted you; close enough for your breaths to mingle, but not enough for your mouths to touch. His hold on your throat lessened just enough for your blood flow not to be cut off completely, and then he’d press again for the fog taking over your brain not to go too far.
“Yoongi, please–” you whined in a meek little voice that made his dick twitch inside his pants.
“You’re always teasing me, but can’t take it when I do the same to you, huh?”
Yoongi let go of your neck to hold your jaw, pressing on your cheeks to part your lips a little more, forcing you to pout and roll your eyes. Both of your hands rested on his stomach, so you could tell his breathing was as labored as yours. The man pulled you close again, the tip of his tongue following the shape of your upper lip, then your bottom lip.
Your hips were starting to rock as you tried to get some form of relief, but his hand on your thigh squeezed enough to hurt and make you stop.
“Get up.”
“What–” you were about to panic again, eyes filling with tears as you thought he was about to send you home now.
The professor cooed, letting go of your face and taking pity on your desperation. When he spoke again his voice was softer, but his words still had too much power:
“It’s about time I fuck you on a bed, baby.” he explained. “Gonna take my time with you tonight.”
“Fuck, okay.” you nodded quickly, scrambling up and off his legs.
You were still a little dizzy, fumbling with your own two feet as you stood up. Yoongi chuckled with an endeared smile and followed up to circle your waist with a strong arm, helping you find balance on his firm body.
“You okay, pretty girl?”
“Mmm. Just want you.”
Yoongi’s smile was the last thing you saw before his free hand held your face and his lips finally pressed against yours. You were so happy to feel his lips on you again, after so many days that might as well be weeks, that you moaned and parted your lips, pushing your tongue past his and taking what you wanted.
The man squeezed your ass with the hand that was keeping you close to him and automatically pressed you harder into him, letting you feel his erection press against your stomach. As his tongue licked yours and his head tipped deeper to one side, allowing him to explore even more of your mouth, both of your hands made their way to his cock.
“Baby, I mean what I said.” he warned you with a bite to your bottom lip. “Let me take you to my bedroom.”
“Kay.”
Both arms circled his neck and shoulders and you jumped to link your legs around his waist, so he’d carry you wherever he wanted. Yoongi let out a small huff, but held you up with both arms under your ass.
“My girl is so spoiled, she can’t even walk, huh?”
“Nop.” you shook your head, hips trying to move the longer he took to start walking.
Thankfully you were too horny and too foggy-brained to pick up on the implications of his words; your heart was too fragile to really focus on being his girl right now.
The walk to Yoongi’s bedroom was quick and next thing you knew your back was hitting his mattress and Yoongi was laying on top of you and between your legs. He kissed you again as soon as it was safe to do, mouth attacking yours in a sloppy kiss that went straight to your pussy. The man’s hands were roaming your body, squeezing your curves and one of them slipped under your shirt to cup one of your breasts.
You moaned into his mouth as he pinched your nipple over the soft lace of your bra.
“Take my shirt off–” you whined, suddenly feeling too hot in your long sleeves.
“What makes you think you’re in a position to make demands, baby?” Yoongi laughed darkly, lifting his body from yours to look at your face.
You pouted, taking his glasses from his face as it started to slip off his button nose. You almost wished you didn’t, since he looked even more feral without them.
“Not making demands, Yoon.” you batted your eyes innocently. “‘m wearing something nice underneath. Picked it for you.”
“Is that so?” his eyebrows arched as he sat back against his knees, studying you. “Let’s see it then.”
You lifted your shirt the rest of the way, pulling it over your head with a woosh. The piece of blue fabric hit the floor, and something else from his night stand on its way down, but he was too preoccupied with eating you up to really care. Yoongi was crazy about your tits, naturally soft, round, mouth watering and the perfect size for him to enjoy. And tonight they were dressed in his favorite color, a black lace piece so delicate it looked like it was about to tear. The fabric was mesh and practically transparent, covered in tiny white flowers that made it look cute.
“So pretty, baby.” he was saying from between your legs, one of his hands tracing your navel. “Does it match?”
“Mhmm.”
You nodded cutely, hands already moving to undo the button and zipper of your pants. You pushed it off your hips and down your legs, lifting both of them up in the air with a giggle as you fumbled to pull off the fabric. Yoongi watched you with a smile on his face and a hand on his cock, which was mindfuck enough.
When your legs made it down again, around the man’s body, he touched your thighs and watched your full form once again. The panties matched the top in color, fabric and details, leaving little to the imagination. You looked a little shy under his gaze, teeth worrying your bottom lip as you waited for a reaction.
As if the tent on his pants wasn’t enough.
“So fucking pretty.” he said and you smiled.
“All for you!”
“Thank you, baby.”
Yoongi leaned down once again, kissing just under your belly button and moving up. He kept true to his words of taking his time with you, taking forever to kiss your stomach, your ribs and your middle, only then reaching your breasts. The man brought your nipple to his mouth, sucking on it over the thin material of your bra. It was scratchy on your skin and you were sensitive, moaning the more he suckled.
After repeating the same slow sucking on your other breast, his hand slipped to your back so he could unhook your bra with skilled fingers. You helped him rid you of your top, leaving you half naked in front of him. Yoongi’s mouth latched to your skin as soon as you were bare, all teeth and tongue as he kissed and squeezed your chest.
You pulled his own shirt off his torso, messing up his long hair in the process. Yoongi didn’t let you gawk his naked top half for long, however, as his kisses made it down your body. Shivers were left in his path and you arched your back as he laid between your legs.
“Yoongi–”
“I’m here, baby.” the man parted your legs a little more, so his wide shoulders could fit between them. Yoongi kissed the inside of your thigh as his hand cupped your clothed core.
“No one ever, uh– I haven’t been–” your stuttering made you feel even more embarrassed and you didn’t even know why you were telling Yoongi that in the first place. “Sorry.”
“What are you sorry for, hm? If no one ever ate you out it’s their loss.” his hand pressed a little more to your pussy and you found the pressure on your clit to be relaxing and tensing at the same time. “I’m dying to have a taste, I can already feel how wet you are. Will you let me?”
“Yes, okay–”
You were nodding as Yoongi removed your underwear and threw it over his shoulder, widening your legs again as soon as it was off. You never had a boyfriend, and all of your one night stands and sneaky links were always more preoccupied with their own pleasure instead of yours. You never minded it too much, being someone who likes to please. But it did make you really excited that Yoongi wanted to go down on you.
“You really are all pretty, aren’t you?”
“Hajima–” your complaint died on your tongue as Yoongi’s mouth went to your pussy. “Shit!”
Yoongi hummed in delight as his tongue pushed between your wet lips, licking you up and down slowly and carefully, exploring all of you as if trying to commit it to memory. Your hand slipped into his hair quickly as he suckled and drank all you were giving him.
You were already aroused before, and how that you could feel his wet tongue, hear his little hums and grunts, you were growing dizzy again, needing to ground yourself somehow. And pulling on Yoongi’s hair seemed to do the trick.
“Feels so good, Yoon…” you mewled, arching your back and crying out when the pointy tip of his tongue flicked your clit. “Yes!”
You had no idea this could feel so good and now you didn’t think you could ever live without this again. Sure, you didn’t know what was pure skill and what would feel good anyway, but you didn’t want to find out. If it was up to you, Yoongi could be the only one to go down on you from on and you’d have no problem with that.
His pretty, swollen, slick covered lips wrapped around your clit and he sucked it into his mouth, twirling his tongue around it as his hands slipped under your ass to hold you closer to his face. Yoongi sucked, licked and kissed you like a man starved, as if you were a banquet and he hadn’t seen food in months.
“Wait, Yoongi, I’m gonna–” you pulled his hair again, trying to warn him, but he only doubled his efforts and squeezed your ass.
“You better cum on my tongue.”
His order came out as a growl and it was enough to tip you over the edge, to send you catapulting into your blissful end. You never felt anything as strong as this, body trembling all over as your orgasm took over you. Your ears were buzzing and you thought you heard a chuckle, but you couldn’t be sure. Yoongi stayed between your legs until your whines became pained in oversensitivity.
“Good?” he was checking with you as he laid on top of your body again, a little of his weight pressing you down on his mattress.
“Can you do it again?”
“Okay.” Yoongi was about to get back down when you squealed and held him in place, shaking your head.
“Don’t mean right now!”
You were giggling and Yoongi was smiling as he held your face with the hand that wasn’t propping him up, ghosting your lips with his. You felt warm and shy all over as you could smell yourself on his breath and now you really wanted to taste yourself too.
“Can I have your tongue?” you asked meekly.
“Where do you want it?”
“In my mouth.”
Yoongi was so fucking pretty and when he smiled at you, you couldn’t control the butterflies in your stomach from going batshit crazy. You were so into this man it might actually physically hurt you, which was something you weren’t expecting. You never got attached before, much less this fast. You got tired quickly, rarely wanted a repeat of the boys you met out and about.
But you couldn’t get enough of Min Yoongi.
You were brought back to the present as the man did what you asked and gave you his tongue, licking around your lips. You latched onto it, sucking on it slowly and lewdly, with little noises of enjoyment as you indulged on his tongue and your own strong taste.
You were distracted kissing him and didn’t notice when his hand slipped between your legs again and two of his fingers slipped between your pussy lips to wet them with your slick and what was left of his saliva. As you felt the digits prodding at your entrance, you gasped out a hard breath.
“Oh my god–”
“Shh, baby, you need to let me prep you this time.” Yoongi was saying as he laid on his side, legs caging yours in between them so you wouldn’t move away.
And you didn’t want to move away. You wanted more, you wanted Yoongi, in any way he allowed you to have him.
“You’re so fucking tight.” the man slipped his free arm under you so you’d be closer to him, that hand coming around to play with your tits. “Take a deep breath and relax for me. Can you do that for me? Can you be my good girl?”
“Yes, Yoongi–”
His name never sounded sweeter than it did right now, dropped like a prayer from your red, bitten lips. You were almost trembling in his hold, so he was patient with you, letting you take a couple of deep breaths before he pushed his fingers into your cunt, just to the first knuckle.
Yoongi had no idea how on earth were you able to take him in the backseat of his car that night, with no prepping at all. He hated the thought of you being in pain because of the rush and the risks of being caught. He wouldn’t do that to you again, you would feel only pleasure.
Which is why his palm gently rubbed on your clit the more he pushed his fingers into you. Your moans were shallow and you were grabbing onto his arm, nails singing into his skin and making him hiss. Once his fingers were lodged inside of you, as deep as they would go, he let you get used to the stretch; distracting you with kisses on your neck and rolling of your nipples.
“You’re so good to me.” you declared in between deep breaths, squeezing around his fingers.
“Yeah, baby?”
“Mmm, like you so much.”
Rationally speaking, Yoongi knew you were most likely swimming in endorphins and going a little delirious with the slow pumping of his fingers in and out of your pussy. But it still made his heart skip a beat. He’d overthink it later, but for now he was basking on your words, your scent and the feel of your skin against his.
“Shit, shit, Yoongi!” you mewled as the pads of his fingers tickled and pressed on your sweet spot.
It was hard to focus, but you still did your damn best to push his pants down his hips, just enough for his cock to spring free. With a little look down, you could see it angry, red and swollen. Bringing your hand to your lips, you spit on it twice and lathered Yoongi’s cock with your spit. He shuddered as your fingers wrapped around his length and you started a slow but tight stroke.
Yoongi’s fingers were scissoring you open and his forehead was pressed against yours. Lips and tongues were tangling together lazily in something that could barely be called a kiss.
It didn’t take long for your pumping of his cock to fall in sync with his fingering you open and when your hips started lifting to fuck yourself on his digits, Yoongi deemed you ready to take him.
“Need to fuck you now, okay?”
“Okay.” you winced when he removed his fingers, feeling too empty all of a sudden. “How do you want me?”
“Just like that.”
You moved up on the bed a little more, until your head rested on his pillows. As Yoongi left the bed to kick the pants off the rest of the way and rush to the bathroom, you watched the dips of his waist and his cute ass, trying not to laugh at the way his cock bobbed up and down. He was back a second later, holding a square packet between his teeth and climbed on the bed again.
“Someone is prepared today.” you giggled as he kneeled between your legs.
“Bought these yesterday.”
“Were you planning on fucking me again?”
He shrugged, pretending nonchalance. “It’s nice to be prepared.”
As Yoongi ripped through the wrapper, you took his cock in your hand again, bringing it to your pussy. You didn’t push it in, but you did brush his tip against your folds, wetting his shaft between your lips, allowing the both of you to really feel each other before he could wrap himself with the condom.
You could watch his beautiful finger rolling the protection on his thick cock all day.
“Ready?” he asked you, stroking his cock a few times before bringing it to your entrance.
You lifted yourself by your elbows, to watch as Yoongi pushed his tip into you with shallow thrusts. “Fuck me, Yoon…”
Your begging was added to all the teasing and foreplay and Yoongi’s hips pushed forward so his cock would breach you. You bit your lips with the stretch, making the man study you and not move again before you started squeezing around him.
Your walls were fluttering as you sucked him in and Yoongi fucked more and more ofo his stiff member into you, taking it slow until he bottomed out. Your back arched with a new and harsher snap and your hands held onto the bed sheets, poor knuckles turning white the more you squeezed.
“Love the way your pussy is choking me–” Yoongi thought out loud as his hips started a quick pace of fucking you, big hands holding onto your tighs.
“You’re so big!” you cried, making grabby hands at him.
Yoongi let your legs go so he could obey to your silent request and lay on top of you, sticky body against yours, face hiding in your neck as you hugged his chest. He went even deeper in this position, the sounds filling his bedroom were less obnoxious than the echo inside his car, but the skin hitting skin was still unmistakeable.
Each time he rolled his hips against yours, his cock would hit your g spot deliciously, and his pelvic bone pressed against your clit, making you see stars. You didn’t notice your nails were scratching Yoongi’s back until he hissed in pain.
“Shit, I’m sorry–”
“Do it again.” he asked in a rough and scratchy voice, teeth sinking in on your neck.
You moaned and sinked your nails into his back, noticing how his thrusts became faster, but a little sloppy. Still, he never missed all of the important spots and your second orgasm was approaching quickly. And from the way he desperately fucked into you, sucked a bruise on your neck and groaned, so was his.
“So so so close–” you were saying it as if he couldn’t feel the way your pussy was squeezing him.
“Cum on my cock, pretty girl, let me feel you squeezing me.”
“Fuckfuckfuck!”
You didn’t stand a chance when his fingers slipped between your bodies to roll and flick your clit and his mouth found yours on a lazy kiss that tipped you over the edge. You cried out his name in a high pitched moan, unshed tears wetting your eyes. You had half a mind to listen to all of Yoongi’s hushed praises against your ear.
“Fuck, baby, need to cum.”
Yoongi sounded a little mad, which almost made you laugh. He pulled out of you and slipped the condom off his cock, pumping it in his hand as his head fell forward, eyes roaming all over your body. You sat up to take his cock in your own hands, bringing it to your chest.
“Cum for me, Yoon… Want it on my tits.”
“Oh, fuck.”
With a growl that sounded a lot like your name, Yoongi let go of whatever was holding him back and let his release explode out of him in thick and heavy white strings, painting your chest with his sticky mess.
Completely spent, Yoongi collapsed on the bed, panting hard, chest and neck covered in sweat and slightly red.
You had a little jab right at the tip of your tongue, but he did most of the work, so you didn’t say anything.
“We’re doing that again.” he declared while staring at his ceiling.
“Oh, we’re repeating everything about this night.”
MARCH 24TH | 00:51
Yoongi was kind enough to let you use his shower while he washed up in the guest bathroom outside his room. Showering together was still too intimate for the two of you, but he did cuddle you in bed as the both of you caught your breaths after sex, so your aftercare needs were perfectly met.
You were already dressed in your clothes again, towel drying your hair, as you searched for Yoongi once more.
Finding him in the kitchen, there were a few things you noticed:
He was cooking again; something lighter than the stew, based on the opened can of tuna and tub of mayo.
Yoongi looked even better when cooking shirtless, you learned. Just a pair of gray sweatpants hanging low on his hips.
Yoongi had a freaking tattoo.
“Oh my god, what’s that?!” you gasped, walking to him on the kitchen counter.
“I thought you might be hungry, this is just tuna, mayo and rice all mixed up.”
“No, no, I mean on your shoulder!”
“Ah.” Yoongi scrunched his nose, letting you see the small tattoo on the back of his left shoulder. “Yeah, it’s a tangerine.”
“I have so many questions.”
“Eat while I answer them, it’s late and you have classes early tomorrow.”
You snickered, because there was no way you’d make it to your morning classes. Maybe not even the ones in the afternoon. But you were feeling a little hungry, so you jumped up on the counter and accepted the spoon and bowl Yoongi offered you.
“What’s the story behind it?” you asked, legs dangling as you ate the snack.
“You know when you have a bad break up and your best friend tells you to cut your hair?”
“I never had a break up, but go on.”
“You never–” Yoongi frowned, but you poked his sides for him to continue. “Right, well, it’s what people do.”
“Okay, that still doesn’t explain the tattoo.” you scooped some of the rice and tuna mix and brought it to his lips in offering.
After chewing, he said: “When your best friend is Jung Hoseok, you don’t get a haircut, you get a tattoo.”
“Of course.” you laughed with a shake of your head.
“She hated tattoos.” Yoongi told you and you deduced she was the ex. “So Hoseok’s brilliant idea was to get one.”
“Can’t argue with that logic. Why a tangerine, though?”
That question made Yoongi stop and sigh, signaling for you to keep eating.
“That’s the one thing I knew I’d love for the rest of my life.”
You managed to hold your laugh for a few seconds, just until you finished swallowing the food. As your giggles filled the apartment, Yoongi avoided your eyes and tried to seem mad. It ended up with him pouting while his bread cheeks rose up.
“Hajima.” he warned.
“I think it’s cute!” you let him take the bowl from your hands as you were done. “I like it.”
“Yeah?”
“Absolutely.”
“Mhm.” he grumbled, still not sure if it was such a good idea to tell you about it. “Are you ready to go?”
“Yeah, I’ll call up a ride–”
Yoongi shook his head, helping you jump off the counter. “I’ll drive you.”
You tried insisting he didn’t need to leave his home just to drive you back to campus; it was late and still raining, even if it wasn’t as strong as it was earlier. But Yoongi didn’t take no for an answer, simply pulling a black hoodie over his head and picking up his car keys.
All throughout the elevator ride to the garage Yoongi kept close to you, fingers brushing yours, or with a hand on the small of your back.
As he drove you to campus, Yoongi let you pick the radio stations you listened to.
Instead of stopping the car in the hidden spot behind the three, he parked a little closer to the entrance, mindful of the rain.
“Thank you for the ride.” you were saying as you took your seatbelt off and picked up your backpack off the floor. “I’ll see you around.”
“Hey.”
You looked at him again once he called you, eyes fluttering closed as Yoongi loosened his own seatbelt to lean over the center console and kiss your lips.
“I’ll see you soon.”
You nodded, slipping out of his car and running to the entrance of the building, punching in your student pin code to be allowed inside.
There wasn’t much more that Yoongi could promise you, with all of the complications that involved you two seeing each other again, and you knew that. But the possibilities and the small fact that he wanted to see you again, brought a giddy feeling to your chest.
A feeling short lived as you heard a familiar voice ask:
“Yn? What were you doing coming out of Professor Min’s car?”

Teaser:
“Appointment for Min!”
At the low baritone voice, and the mention of the name you’ve been hearing about nonstop for the past couple of days, you perked up. You poked your best friend on the ribs, making Nara jolt upwards and widen her eyes as her attention was brought back to the present.
The tattoo shop was clean and smelled slightly of bleach, a scent that was mostly masked by a red wood and vanilla air purifier. You could definitely appreciate the cleanliness of it all, much preferring the burn on your nostrils from cleaning products than the stale smell of sweat.
The floors were made of white tiles and the walls were a very dark gray; but you could only see inches of it in between the hundreds of paintings, sketches and tattoo designs that covered it from top to bottom. The furniture at the reception was all matte black with silver accents, with the exception of the worn out, brown leather couch you’ve been sitting on for the past half an hour.
“That's us.” you got up first and Nara moved a little slower after you.
The handsome man calling for you had a perfectly symmetrical face and dark locks that fell over his eyes, fluffy and soft. His voice was still as deep as the ocean as he spoke again: “Oh, is he doing two at a time–”
“Ah, no, no, I'm just here as moral support.” you explained, grabbing your best friend by the elbow to make her stand in front of you. “This is Nara, she’s the one getting tattooed today.”
“I see, that’s good! Nice to meet you, I’m Taehyung.” the man introduced himself, opening an arm to point in the direction you were meant to go.
“Wait, wait, it's not gonna like... hurt too much, right?” Nara reached for the man before he could take a step down the narrow hallway and you felt a little bad for her nerves.
“Nah, it's just the getting used to it part that sucks.” Taehyung shook his head, fluffy hair wooshing with the action. “Once you know what it feels like, it's fine. There's a reason people don't stop at the first tattoo.”
“Okay, okay it's fine.” the woman shrugged, shaking it off, mostly talking to herself.
“Besides, hyung is pretty good with his hands. That's what he's known for.” Taehyung spoke with a little side smile that told you there was more to the story, maybe an inside joke you weren’t privy to.
“If you’re so scared, you can always take a break and come back to get it finished later.” you turned to your friend, who was still frozen in the middle of the shop.
“No, I can't, it took me weeks to get a slot with this artist!” Nara groaned, making you frown and look at Taehyung for confirmation.
“Yeah, hyung’s schedule is as tight as a virgin.” he agreed and you held back a grimace from the comparison. “The waiting list is crazy.”
“Oh. Well, then suck it up.”
You patted Nara on the back, all but pushing her to follow Taehyung along. The man was patient and likely saw scared first-timers often, but if this Min guy was so requested, then there was no time to waste. With a heavy, trembling breath, Nara accepted her fate, walking down the hall as you went along.
It’s not like she didn’t want to be here in the first place, getting a tattoo was on both of your bucket lists since you were sixteen. She was the first one brave enough to actually pick a design and make an appointment, her twenty-fifth birthday present for herself. You hoped watching her getting it would give you the push you needed to do the same.
The room you were meant to go into was at the very back of the hallway; voices, yelps and the mechanical buzzing of tattoo guns rattled your bones as you passed by smaller studios that didn’t have their doors closed.
You tried not to stare into them, give the other clients a sense of privacy, but as you saw a girl with absolutely no shirt on, and a strong, tattooed man piercing one of her perky nipples, you had to look.
You were only human after all.
“That’s Guk. If a tattoo is not your thing, you might be interested in body jewelry?” nothing got past Taehyung, apparently, as he saw your lingering gaze.
“Maybe.” your hand absentmindedly reached for your ear, a lone earring sitting at your lobe.
You always wanted a second piercing on your ears and for a while during your teenage emo phase you had considered getting your eyebrow pierced. You didn’t think you could pull it off during adulthood, but maybe you could get creative, should you ever become brave enough to consider it.
“This is where I leave you.” Taehyung spoke to Nara first, as she was closer to the last door. “If you girls need anything, just call me.”
“Thanks, Tae.” your friend smiled through her nerves, peeking into the room and instantly pausing. You watched her eyes widen for a split second and her face turned to you over her shoulder as she moved her lips to whisper: “Oh, god, please behave.”
“Why wouldn’t I–”
You bowed your head to Taehyung as he passed you to go back to his spot, thorny branches coloring the side of his neck and disappearing down the collar of his shirt. As soon as you –finally– stepped into the tattoo studio after your friend, you understood her warning.
Well, damn.
That was one handsome man.
“I’m Min Yoongi, you’re Nara? We spoke through text.” the artist stood up from behind his desk, offering a handshake to your friend and his client. Turning to you, and ridding your lungs of sweet oxygen, he started: “And you–”
Only to be interrupted by your friend, who waved him off and dismissed you: “Ignore her, she’s moral support.”
“I still have a name.” you scrunched your nose, disappointed that the man didn’t offer you a handshake at your friend’s brush-off.
You spoke your name and received a smile from the man, holding his gaze for as long as he allowed you to before turning around to offer a seat to your friend by his desk.
You didn’t blame Nara for her warning, nor her attempts to keep you distant from her new tattoo artist.
Min Yoongi… Was just your type.
Tall, with wide shoulders, thick chest that strained against his black t-shirt, ink running down his right arm and some scattered on the left. His blonde hair was almost white, making the prettiest set of dark cat-eyes stand out on a perfect face.
Oval in shape, with round cheeks and a small nose, Yoongi’s beauty was almost too delicate for his whole cool-tattoo-artist vibe. You could tell the man was a little rough around the edges, not someone you’d ever call soft upon a first meeting. His lips were petal shaped and strawberry colored, slightly wet from running his tongue in between.
Yoongi was very much a contrast to you; you in your white tennis skirt, baby pink shirt and platform sneakers. While you had a tiny red heart pendant resting on your collarbones, Yoongi carried two thick chains that looked heavy and cold.
But that was exactly what you were into, a guy that could all but ruin you.
You didn’t know how long you were staring at the tattooed man, but when you got back to yourself, Yoongi was handing Nara a tablet.
“If you want to take a look at the design again, I can print the stencil when you give me the okay.” even his voice was seductive, like the melted chocolate on the inside of a french cake. Deep, raspy and smooth.
“Yeah, that’s really great…” Nara was holding the tablet as she turned it to you. “Good right?”
“It’s perfect.” you easily agreed, approaching the two of them to look closer. The drawing was of a dragonfly with detailed open wings. “I’m sad you’re getting it in black, it would look so pretty with colors.”
Yoongi’s chuckle was as knee shaking as his voice, a sheepish smile on his lips as he reached for the tablet to slide the picture to the side and pull up the next one, where a colored version of the same design was blooming with life. “Something like this?”
“Yes, exactly!” you gasped, marveled at the green and purple hues with blue accents.
“Maybe I’ll come back and have it colored in the future?” Nara didn’t seem to agree with you, however.
And Yoongi had to do what his client wanted, so he flicked the tablet again to bring back the original drawing. When your friend gave him the okay, the man walked to the very end of the room to get the stencil ready, leaving you and your friend to chat.
Nara was talking about hoping her boyfriend would like the tattoo, and how it was her body, so even if Namjoon didn’t dig it, it was his problem. You should tell her that the man was so smitten with her that she could get a face tattoo and he’d still kiss the floor she walked on, but Yoongi had no right to look that good, even from afar.
“Are you even listening to me?” Nara whined, making you turn to her with red cheeks at being caught.
“You can’t tell me he’s not hot.” you whispered, gently pointing to the artist with an exaggerated wiggle of your brows.
“If you’re into the whole ‘can break your heart’ vibe.” she shrugged, but you saw her eyes lingering a beat too long. “Which I know you are, but I–”
“Yes, you like the book nerds better.” you shook your head with a small laugh.
“I like one book nerd, thank you very much.” Nara corrected you as Yoongi returned with a white paper and the dragonfly drawn in purple.
The artist explained how everything worked, went over shading options and how to make the tattoo look more realistic on her skin. All Nara wanted was for it to look good and for the pain to be minimal, jumping on the stretcher and laying on her tummy.
You might be slightly distracted by this man’s good looks, but you still had a job to do, which was to support your friend. So you watched Yoongi clean up the area and place the stencil on the back of her calf, making sure it was perfectly straight and the placement looked good. Clearly you had nothing to worry about, as the artist had steady hands and a good sense of direction.
Yoongi grabbed a stool and placed it next to the stretcher, bringing a ring light closer to his working spot, adjusting his gloves around his wrists and picking up the gun.
“I’ll go slow, but you can let me know if it hurts too much.” Yoongi told Nara, turning the tattoo gun on, but the words and the double meaning behind them still had the ability to make you a little silly.
You wondered if Yoongi liked to go slow, if he liked to tease. You’d like him to tease you.
Nara was hugging a pillow to her chest, groaning slightly less than you thought she might. The dragonfly was small, she’d be done in half an hour, maybe a full hour max, she’d survive. You might not, if Yoongi kept on licking his lips and biting the bottom one as he focused on the thin lines he drew on your friend’s skin.
For the sake of your own wellbeing, you turned around to look at the wall behind you, where you found pictures of clients with fresh tattoos and drawings kept behind glass frames. You could see a Joseon era throne, a sword, a tiger, beautiful landscapes and photograph-looking portraits. All of the designs were so rich in detail that you didn’t think a single one of them took less than two hours to complete.
“Did you design all of these?” you had to raise your voice a little to be heard above the machine noise.
“Most of them, yeah.” Yoongi answered you calmly, eyes moving from Nara’s skin to yours.
“So you’re just as handsome as you’re talented, huh?” you asked on a leap of courage. You’d probably not see this man ever again, you might as well shoot your shot. And if you’re rejected, you could always go to the bakery across the street and stuff your face with chocolate.
Yoongi didn’t have the chance to reply to you, eyes looking down as his pink cheeks raised and he focused on doing his job, trying to mask a smile. God, he was cute, too. Either to save you from the embarrassment of his silence or to make your life a little harder, Nara complained:
“Babe, please don’t flirt with my tattoo artist, let him do his job.”
Spurred on by his reaction, you went on: “I’m sure he can do both.”
You didn’t know yourself to be this blunt, honestly, and maybe if it was just the two of you in a room, you’d be too intimidated by him. Moved by your own curiosity, you asked:
“Are any of these on you?”
“Third row from the top, the dragon in the middle.” Yoongi stopped the buzzing of his machine to reply to you, or maybe to give Nara a break. “I got it on my shoulders.”
“That is a cool looking dragon.” you beamed, stretching your neck to look at it properly. “Is it a Yong?”
“You know korean history?” Yoongi sounded impressed, and it lit a small fire in your belly.
“I know a little about a lot of things.” you nibbled on your bottom lip, eyes returning to the wall of tattoos.
And if Yoongi was to finish the tattoo on your friend, you better stop acting so fucking cute.
Yoongi would be the last to admit –much to the joy of his teasing friends–, but he had a thing for girls like you. Too pretty for your own good, in short clothes that showed you weren’t scared of revealing some skin, but innocent looking enough to be perfectly ruinable by someone like him.
You were all soft in your pastel colors, the little bow clip on your hair and the shimmery gloss on your lips were making him feel things he should not be feeling in such a professional setting.
You were also sure of yourself, openly flirting with him, which was attractive to Yoongi on so many levels. Clearly you were smart, too, as not many people knew enough about their country’s history in order to recognize the traditional Korean dragon he ha tattooed on his shoulders.
Having customers hit on him wasn’t exactly new, he knew what he looked like, and the whole bad-boy vibe granted to him simply for doing what he did as a career made him a little more alluring than he liked to give himself credit for.
But Yoongi had a rule; he never hooked up with clients.
Not only was it bad for business, since he doubted clients would keep coming back to him once things eventually didn’t work out, it could get messy. Having something tattooed on your skin by a hookup or a guy you dated once, sounded too much like unresolved issues for Yoongi to risk it.
But then again, you weren’t the one under him right now.
“Do you have any tattoos?” Yoongi asked you, interested in keeping the conversation going, get to know more about you even if just at a surface level.
“Not yet, but I always wanted to.” you told him, turning your attention back to Yoongi and forgetting the wall of his most prized designs. “But I’ve always been scared of the pain.”
“Not all pain is bad.” Yoongi replied, eyes moving from his canvas back to you.
And if his gaze lowered when you leaned over the stretcher to watch his progress on the back of your friend’s leg, Yoongi hoped you didn’t notice. But the v-cut of your pink shirt was too low, the round mounds of your chest were right there as you lowered yourself. There was no way you didn’t know.
“Won’t you tell him what you wanted to tattoo on your ass?” Nara spoke through the pain of the poking of his needle, making Yoongi lift his attention back to your face.
“Not really, no.” you groaned, only peaking Yoongi’s curiosity.
On a normal day, he’d be a little more professional than this, surely. He’d involve his actual client into the conversation, share his attention equally. He should ask Nara what the dragonfly meant to her, if she had any ideas for the next one; keep the actual paying customer relaxed and make her forget about the pain.
But there was something thrilling about watching color blossom on your cheeks as you turned shy, so he asked:
“Come on, now I gotta know.” Yoongi insisted. “I’ll even throw in a discount if you ever wanna get it done for real.”
“Are you even allowed to do that?” you laughed, all sweet and angelic, throwing your hair to the back of your shoulder.
“I’m willing to, if you tell me your secrets.”
You’d tell him anything if he kept looking at you like that.
And you could lie, pretend you were cooler than you actually were, less of a nerd, too. But you weren’t one to change who you were to fit into the expectations of a guy, no matter how hot they were. So you sent Nara a deadly look that she didn’t catch and told him:
“I wanted to get a tattoo of a character from the anime Sakura Cardcaptor.” you placed a palm on the stretcher, hip pushed to the side as you rested from the leaning position you were on. “His name is Kero–”
“That yellow bear with wings?” Yoongi raised an eyebrow and it surprised you that he knew what you were talking about.
“He’s actually a lion, but yeah.” you corrected with a nod, adding: “I was obsessed with that cartoon growing up. I know it’s silly, but–”
Yoongi cut off the power of the machine to lay it on the little tray with ink pots, making Nara ask if the tattoo was finally done. You stopped her from getting up, as you could clearly see only the wings of the dragonfly were done, the body of it was still to be tattooed on her skin.
You watched him stretch his left arm and raise the sleeve of his shirt, showing you the tattoo on the inside of his bicep. It was a small black and white square of what looked like a scene from a manga where a guy in uniform was playing basketball, shooting the ball to make a three point basket.
“I got this one from Slam Dunk, my favorite anime growing up.” he told you with an encouraging smile, which you mirrored. “So I don’t think it’s silly.”
You were quiet for a while, feeling a little more at ease about your teenager self, and even your adult preferences. Yoongi didn’t need to share his tattoo like that, didn’t need to reassure you, but he still did. And you didn’t think it was because he was trying to get a new customer that bad.
“Oh my god, you’re having a moment.” Nara broke the silence, watching you and Yoongi have a staring match as she spied over her shoulder. You sent her yet another dirty look, which she caught this time and said: “Sorry, just… Can you do that,” she pointed between you and Yoongi, furthering your embarrassment. “While I’m not in raw pain?”
“It doesn’t even look like it hurts that bad.” you mumbled.

Teaser:
Yoongi’s car was clean and comfortable, nothing flashy or ostentatious, but he did have a built-in GPS and a very modern sound system. He kept a mellow R&B playlist low on the background as he drove and you couldn’t help but stare at the veins in his arm as he held the steering wheel with one hand.
In such a small space everything seemed heightened. From the sound of your own heavy breathing, to the rustle of the plastic bag with your leftover dinner resting by your feet. But it was Yoongi’s soft hums when he liked a song and the amplified scent oozing off of him that was making you go a little crazy.
When the car came to a halt a few stops away from your building, slightly hidden behind a large tree and away from the nearest street lamp, you wanted to find an excuse, anything to stay there and prolong your goodbyes. You wouldn’t have another class with Yoongi for a few days, since he liked to rotate his two assistants, and you didn’t know when you’d have a one on one session with him again.
The professor didn’t seem eager to let you go either, when he turned the engines off and cut the lights.
“I hope your wife won’t mind you staying out so late.” you heard yourself saying, heart beating quickly on your chest at the prospects of a confirmation you didn’t want.
Yoongi let out a breathy laugh, pushing his hair away from his forehead again. “Don’t have one.”
“Your girlfriend then?”
“Not that either.”
If Yoongi thought your questions were invasive or out of line, he didn’t show it. When you removed your seatbelt and let it slide back into place, the man turned slightly to the side. To stare at you. To wait for your next move. When you didn’t make any motion of leaving his car, he clicked his own seatbelt free.
Was he expecting you to invite him up? You doubted it, since he was careful enough to park so far away from the entrance of your dorm building, where it was safe from prying eyes.
“Yn.” he said, and you liked the way your name sounded in the solitude of his car.
“Yes, Professor Min?”
Whatever question he had seemed to die on his tongue and you basked in the way his gaze seemed to grow darker. You licked your lips out of habit, a movement that caught his sharp attention immediately.
You couldn’t tell when you started leaning into his space. Maybe it was before his warning call to your name, even. Your heart was pumping so much blood through you that your pulse was buzzing in your ears.
“Told you to not call me that when it’s just the two of us.” his tone was low, teasing almost, and it sent a pool of heat right between your legs.
“What do you want me to call you?” you were a breath away from whimpering, begging him to close the distance before you leaned all the way over the console of the car, you needed him to give you something. “Sir?”
