It's honestly so rude that it's literally impossible to write 100K in a day. I'm impatient.

I love when that happens! I'm so glad it happened to u
yesterday my brain randomly connected a few plot things in my wip and i’ve always heard of people saying sometimes the story writes itself but i think this is the first time it’s happened to me. it was like, oh here u go have some intricate sub plot details that will be interwoven with the rest of the story, i know you’ve been trying to untangle those things for awhile. seemed like u were strugglin :/

Actually, while you aren't wrong per se inky, the romanovs all getting killed was shocking at the time. No one expected that the daughters would all get murdered too, and even the mother was a bit odd - the French had just had their revolutiokn and they killed only the king and Queen, not their children. Instead they attempted to re-educate them. The You're Wrong About podcast has an episode on Anastasia that explains the historical and social context really well.
Was it out of the ordinary that the entire Romanov family was killed? What I mean is, in cases where a country is overthrown, is it typical for the entire family to be killed, or is it more common that only the ruler and sons be killed?
Usually if a royal family lingers in the country after all the warning signs and the beginning of the end, then yes, more than often they always are killed. If a regime wants to take hold, it has the destroy the old one.

So… I found this and now it keeps coming to mind. You hear about “life-changing writing advice” all the time and usually its really not—but honestly this is it man.
I’m going to try it.

you know what trope always fucking gets to me?
When a character is about to die, like really die. There’s no hope and they’re this badass character who acts like they don’t need anybody but in those final moments, they’re like, “I want my mom” and it fucking destroys you

tropes i will never get tired of
fake dating
omniscient narrator who immediately contradicts the characters (“This is fine,” she said. It was, in no way, shape, or form, fine.)
deadpan jokes while swordfighting
the “I FUCKING LOVE MY WIFE” guy
oblivious pining that slowly escalates until A is going on page rants about how pretty B’s eyes are but still doesn’t seem to recognize they’re in love
Strong Leader Type having to physically fall down in order for the other characters to see how exhausted they are
funny villains who talk and make jokes with their heroes while they’re fighting them
the villains presented as the protagonists
*increasingly pulls out bigger and bigger weapons from more unlikely places*
“I said all of your weapons” *pulls out more*
“ALL OF THEM” *pulls out one last tiny dagger*
traumatized character using humor to cover up ptsd
characters going out for a break at a restaurant/movie/whatever and something bad happening
using the “*gasp* what’s that over there???” trick to avert the enemy’s attention and it working
a villain’s weakness being something totally random and nonsensical
a hero duo arguing over who’s the sidekick while fighting a villain
“don’t be silly, we don’t need [important thing]”  “you lost it, didn’t you?”  “yeah”
“what’s the one thing I told you not to do tonight?”  “raise the dead”   “and what did you do?”  “raised the dead”
“I think that went pretty well” *explosion in the distance*

Happy Worldbuilding Wednesday! As always, answer when you can and regardless of whether or not you follow me or reciprocate!
Today let’s talk normal people!
How do civilians, humans, non-magicians, etc. think about the special people in your stories? About the events going on?
Happy creating everyone! ^^

ideas for interesting platonic dynamics:
older siblings trying to maintain a cool persona to impress younger siblings who idolize them
character avoiding their landlord cause they’re late to pay rent
neighbors who have grown weirdly accustomed to each other and don’t feel right if the other person isn’t home
following the same idea… one of them finally moves out and the other neighbor deliberately scares away potential new inhabitants cause they can’t stand the idea of anyone else living next door
alternatively, shenanigans between neighbors who cannot stand each other and are each trying very hard to get the other to move out
adult characters bonding with their friends’ children
characters who are just sick of each other for no particular reason, they’re just weirded out by how often they coincidentally end up in the same places
character stalking another character, but solely to use their extensive knowledge about them to avoid them
long-lost friends/relatives reunited after many years who now have to get to know each other all over again
doctor/therapist/other health care specialist frustrated with a chaotic patient who keeps getting themselves into awful situations
tension between characters of different religions, but not hateful!! there’s just a lot of confusion about each other’s beliefs as they get to know each other
parents trying very hard not to play favorites with their children
children trying very hard not to play favorites with their parents
teachers trying very hard not to play favorites with their students
business partners become business rivals
business rivals become business partners
friend groups where pets are also considered part of the group (thinking of scooby doo)
bitter enemies teaming up against a bigger enemy
mentor/apprentice, but the mentor doesn’t know what they’re doing at all, they’re just winging it
mentor/apprentice where it turns out that the apprentice is actually more skilled/knowledgable than the mentor
ex-villains slowly learning to trust their old enemies
ex-villains trying so very hard to persuade their old enemies that they are not villainous anymore
friends who’ve grown unhealthily attached to each other keep putting off an inevitable goodbye
overachieving classmates who barely know each other and have no intention of furthering their relationship, but they enjoy working together because they make a great team
adoration between villains and their henchpeople
feel free to add on as many as you please
