MARVEL CIINEMATIC UNIVERSE

Marvel cinematic universe aka the MCU is an American media franchise. It is a shared universe that contains twenty-nine movies and seven shows. Marvel's own studio known as the Marvel Studios produces all of MCU's films and shows. Marvel Studios, founded in 2007 released its first movie Iron Man on May 2, 2008,

Iron Man was the film that kicked off the highly known and successful franchise MCU.

MCU's twenty-nine movies and seven shows are sorted into 4 phases. The first three phases are collectively known as THE INFINITY SAGA, and the subsequent three phases ie,4, 5, and 6 are now collectively known as THE MULTIVERSE SAGA. I have broken down the entire MCU line up explaining and summarizing all movies and shows below.

THE INFINITY SAGA

PHASE ONE

phase one of the MCU started with Iron Man (2008) and ended with the first live-action Avengers team-up movie The Avengers (2012).

Phase one had a total of 6 movies. All of them are listed below:

·    2. The Incredible Hulk (2008)

·    3. Iron Man 2 (2010)

·    4. Thor (2011)

·    5. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

·    6. The Avengers (2012)

PHASE TWO

phase two of the MCU started with Iron Man 3 (2013) and ended with Ant-Man (2015).

Phase two had a total of 6 movies. All of them are listed below:

·    8. Thor: The Dark World (2013)

·    9. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

·    10. Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

·    11. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

·    12. Ant-Man (2015)

PHASE THREE

phase three of the MCU is the final phase of THE INFINITY SAGA. In this phase, THE INFINITY SAGA ends. Avengers Endgame (2019) is the epic final showdown. Phase three started with Captain America: Civil War (2016) and ended with Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019).

Phase three had a total of 11 movies. All of them are listed below:

·    15. Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 (2017)

·    16. Spider-Man Homecoming (2017)

·    17. Thor: Ragnarok (2017)

And with the end of phase three, MCU's THE INFINITY SAGA ended. All three phases slowly introduced characters the world had never met before. And these movies, either origin stories or epic team-ups, all of them were building a big problem that became more and more visible as the epic showdown came near. All ended in the last two Avengers movies:

Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

THE MULTIVERSE SAGA PHASE FOUR

MCU's phase four shows us what happens after the events of ENDGAME. That is how all the characters deal with everything that happened in the last few years. As phase four is officially titled 'Guilt and consequences', This theme can be felt in almost every project in phase four. Phase four also had MCU's first tv show.

Phase four started with WandaVision (Disney plus show)(2021) and is still going on with the latest release of Thor: Love and Thunder(2022)

Phase four currently has six movies and seven tv shows, with more coming in upcoming years. All of them are listed below:

PHASE ONE

1.    IRON MAN (2008)

Iron Man is MCU's first movie. Directed by Jon Favreau and written by Mark Fergus; Hawk Ostby; Art Marcum; Matt Holloway. The lead character of Tony Stark/Iron man is played by the most talented Robert Downey Jr, followed by Jon Favreau who played Happy Hogan, Gwyneth Paltrow who played Pepper Pots, Terrence Howard who played James Rhodes, Paul Bettany voices the AI assistant J.A.R.V.I.S and finally, the villain of the movie Iron Monger/Obadiah Stane is played by Jeff Bridges.

Iron Man has one of the finest origin stories I have ever seen. (THIS IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS)
