Amnesia (Memories): Premium Art Book Textless Cover

Time to shift gears for a bit! Self explanatory title & textless version of the cover. Although I am not a fan of Shin and would have loved seeing a version with Kent of this instead, it’s still a beautiful image and I’m really happy to own the book. It’s a very sultry and mystic image all in one. Now if I could get a commission inspired by this with a certain certain other character that frequents this blog….*smiles*

Love is War: Rivals are the Enemy! - An Ikki Analysis

So sayeth War General Waka. A cursory glance will identify Ikki as the playboy character of Amnesia, and you wouldn’t really be off the mark. Besides having his own fan club, he has a flirty, easy-going attitude in all of the routes that would lend to the belief that the trope fits him like a shoe.

Actually this trope is so overused that it’s become rather boring in otome, and the only way something cliche can be successful is for its usage to be somewhat unique. Otherwise you have to reinvent the trope by doing something different to it entirely, and that is probably the most difficult option. Yet, arguably, Otomate actually manages to do a bit of both with Ikki.

Kent: Thesis Work

Sourced from the Amnesia Premium Art Book, I believe this was originally the cover for the Kent version of a series of novels. Likely he is working on his thesis as he’s got a year ahead of him to once again get ready for London, now with his girlfriend. I wanted to scan at least one image of Kent for this batch, but I have plenty to scan from Amnesia Memories (since it’s the Western release name I like to use/promote it) as I’m planning to order some other books. Plus, I believe there’s plenty in this book that either hasn’t been scanned or there’s only a moderate quality version presently.
