Visible rune: on his left arm, upside-down, covered by his shirt sleeve

Now this is interesting, as Alec's journey in the series was to stop hiding and be true to himself, to be ready to be visible despite his fear. Combining with the meaning of the flower Daphne shows that Alec's done hiding and changing himself to please others, and nothing anyone says can change it.

This art belongs to Cassandra Jean's depiction of the seven virtues represented by a character from the Shadowhunter Chronicles, where Alec represents humility.

Runes selection:

Fearless - over his heart

Angelic - drawn near Fearless

Insight/Foresight - on his left arm

Heightened Speed - on his right shoulder

The combination of the Fearless and Angelic rune over and near Alec's heart is interesting and very true to him as a character. The simple over his bowed head, almost like a crown weighing him down, with great power comes great responsibility, and all that
